I've tried to become a patron to this store, but I cannot. The selection is too small and the prices are too high. I moved back to the area, from LA, so maybe I got spoiled by having the flower district 20 minutes away. Prices were fair, people were friendly and yes, it's pretty dismal to walk from the parking to the market, but it was still worth it. If money is no object and you like a small selection of flowers, this is your place. However, if money is an issue and downtown Los Angeles is just too far, go to Trader Joe's. What a cool little place I just found! I saw this little place when I was driving home from work one day so I decided to pop in on a Friday. There's a little parking lot attached to it so just pull in. It's pretty easy parking on a weekday. I walked into the walk-in cooler which was packed with anything you could ask for. It was kind of hard to tell what the prices were on everything but they were very helpful and someone immediately walked over and answered all my questions. It seems like a little family owned business and I believe they said they had two locations with the current location having been open for 18 years and the other location for 30 years. I ended up buying one bundle of sunflowers for six bucks and this really tall base for $25 and they were nice enough to throw in another bundle of sunflowers. My wife is going to LOVE these. Wow -- I didn't realize doing my makeup while waiting somehow became relevant to a flower order, but okay. For the record, yes, it was a last-minute order, which is exactly why I asked beforehand if the bouquet would look like the photo -- and I was told yes. I wasn't expecting miracles, just honesty. The bouquet was pretty, but it clearly had fewer roses than the photo I showed (about 30 instead of 40+). If that wasn't possible for the price or timeframe, a simple heads-up would've been appreciated. I also want to clarify that I never tried to rush the order. I asked how long it would take, and the man that helped me said around 40 minutes. I simply mentioned I'd be waiting in my car to do my makeup -- that was just me letting you know where I'd be, not rushing you. Since I was in a bit of a rush myself, I did my makeup in the car while waiting -- but that was just me using the time, not rushing the florist. He gave me the timeframe of about 40 minutes, and I never asked for it to be done sooner. Because I was trying to stay on schedule, I didn't have the chance to closely compare the bouquet to the reference photo when he handed them to me-- I only noticed later that it had noticeably fewer roses and wasn't as full as the one I had shown. Anyway, the flowers were nice, but next time I'll take my own advice and clarify the exact rose count instead of assuming "exactly like the photo" means... well, exactly like the photo. I shared my review simply to be honest about my experience, not to be personal. We ordered flowers for a flower bar we were doing for a baby shower, so every one can make their own bouquet to take home. The flowers were stunning, they picked great flowers for us, as we called last minute, and didn't have time to pick them out ourselves. I am very disappointed with my experience with S&E Wholesale flowers and do not recommend them. On the day of the service the main casket arraignment did not match the color I had requested. It was also supposed to cascade over casket but instead only covered the top, different from what was discussed and shown to me. After the funeral I still did not receive an invoice, even after calling and driving several times to request one. The cost was significantly higher than original quote. When I finally spoke with the owner within 30 days I was told if I had concerns with price, "I should have come in the day before funeral" and regarding the incorrect flowers and design. "I should have come to dispute it the day after the funeral". These demands were extremely unreasonable considering I had a funeral to manage and was hosting family from out of town for several days. Overall S &E Wholesale flowers failed in accuracy, communication, invocing and professionalism. They refused to address issues or refund overcharge. I strongly advise other to find a more reliable and compassionate florist. Edited to respond. Thank you for your quick response. I hope that potential customers see this review response. This is the prime example of who you will be dealing with on your occasion. Unprofessional, rude, dishonest. Threatening to "Call my brother" is the level of respect you will receive. I would give 0 stars if possible. Efran is very two faced. I hired him for my wedding and he promised me this beautiful arch for my wedding that was nothing but empty promises. The arch looked like I hired some random to just throw baby's breath on a piece of wood. My mom came back 3 weeks later since news flash I went on my honeymoon and moved to ask for some type of compensation for something that was not up to par (mind you my bouquet was also the same as the bridesmaids) and he started yelling, acting a fool in front of everyone and my mother saying we weren't getting any form of compensation and that my bouquet was different even though he wasn't even there to do the job and we had pictures proving they were all the same but he didn't want to see or hear any of it. The bouquets were also not even what I showed him, it's as if they just made it however they wanted. Overall, customer service is terrible and this is no way to treat a customer who paid A LOT of money. I'm all about supporting small business but the way my mom was treated (since SHE PAID) was very disrespectful and unprofessional to say the least. We'll never be coming here again. I had came here at the end of April to place an order for some flowers for my wedding near the middle of June. I had brought my centerpiece ideas with me (a lantern and a vase that I had put burlap ribbons and flowers on) for a rustic look. Yadi was very helpful and was trying to give me ideas, but it was hard since they didn't have their summer flowers yet. She asked me to come back in the beginning of June (yes that made me nervous since it was close to the wedding date)! I came back in June and Enrique (the owner) had helped me. He showed me some pictures and gave me some ideas. I'm not very educated in regards to flowers, so I just had to trust that they would do a good job. I told them I wanted a rustic look for a backyard wedding, and the colors were blue and blush pink. I wanted 1 bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaid bouquet, 4 boutonnieres to match the bridal party for the groom and groomsmen, 5 rose boutonnieres for my parents and grandma, and 20 centerpieces (using my jars). I had also ordered extra bunches of eucalyptus leaves and baby's breathe for decorations. We had set the pick up time for 7am the morning of the wedding. Payment was completed in full at time of reservation. Yadi contacted me days before the wedding to get some ideas. I sent her some stuff I liked from Pinterest. When I saw my bouquet, I cannot tell you how happy I was! It was much bigger than I had imagined (I told them to make it small because I didn't want it to over my dress).
