The vibe here is calm southern indifference -- they'll help you with what you need and get you on your way. Short, simple and sweet. I'm a small town South Georgia/North Florida girly and stopping into David's really brings some of that roadside nostalgia in my life (because let's face it, ATL is in the South but it isn't necessarily OF the south). The area it's in is kinda ironic as this is a country stand nestled in a very pretentious/expensive neighborhood, but it's also kinda on the edge of Tucker. A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!
