Our 10 Palm trees growing around our swimming pool went into full bloom along with their droppings clogging our new filters. It went unoticed since our pool had been closed for Covid-19. We were able to re-open on Friday at which time I found S&H who called me back on Saturday. They were out to inspect my Condominium property Saturday night, and got a crew together who managed to come out on a Sunday the next morning by 8:00 am. The filters are saved, the trees are trimmed and they cleaned up and hauled away the junk that was cut. These are huge trees, so tall I couldn't even guess how tall they are. Cant thank these guys enough for cleaning up the three queen palms we have in our backyard! They gave me a quote through text and a picture on monday evening and they got me an appointment to come out and do the work 3 days later. Their quote was $200 less than the other quote i got. They were professional and friendly. They moved all my patio furniture out of the way to do the work and put it all back exactly how it was when they were done. This company is now known as S&H Tree Service. We hired Sal several years ago based on a referral and he proved himself knowledgeable and honest. Today, Sal's son, Erik, runs the business and does his father proud. Erik and his crew removed 2 gi-normous pines for a very steep slope in our backyard. Throughout the 2-day job, we were impressed by their expertise and safely practices when removing branches and trunks from the pines. They left our property, neighborhood streets, and sidewalks clean. We will definitely hire S&H Tree Service for all our arbor needs. read more

Great company. Erik Hernandez came out a day after I called and got me scheduled within a week. They got a whole crew out who worked tirelessly to get as much done as humanly possible. I gotta say I really appreciate that because I paid a day rate and they could have milked it but they kicked serious butt. More importantly, they did a fantastic job trimming and made our trees look great and safe. These guys have serious integrity. The crew was packed up and ready to head out when Erik discovered a problem with a tree that made it unsafe to keep despite their best efforts to save it at my request. They all swung back into action and took care of the problem without complaint. Great knowledge of trees. Amazing work ethic. Courtesy and respect for the property. Honesty and integrity. Sal's Tree Service is the only one we would call. They are thoughtful, descriptive and knowledgable of the business. Sal is an Arborist and knows exactly what he is doing. And sometimes.... there could be only one way for a limb to be taken down. A large branch to one could be 1" diameter, to another 3". Limbs or branch length to one could be large and to another massive. I give little credence to bad reviews. Sal's Tree Service is top notch, his employees are taken care of as well. Many companies do not do that. read more

These people are rude and not knowledgeable tree trimmers. Sal dropped large branches on my roof that knocked items off the wall and then told me that I complain. The workers also smoke on the job. The company was hired by my HOA; I would never hire them myself. read more

Do not use these guys, their prices are higher than most, are very unprofessional and will not return calls. If they get a higher quoted job, they will not hesitate to ignore you and put you on the back burner. Use Encino Fire Wood or Estate Tree Service for professional licensed prompt service. I found both these guys to be the best in Ramona, with Encino with an edge over the other. read more

Erik and his crew were AMAZING! They did such a wonderful job bringing down and grounding out the stumps of some evil giant pepper trees. Erik was so flexible and gracious with every curve ball that I threw at him (due to utilities companies). They ground out other stumps that were right on curbs, and the concrete was not damaged at all. These men were AWESOME and so nice to work with! read more
