Was out driving Uber when my aging hyundai just stopped working. was 20 miles away from home so no option to tow to home. I have a AAA account and they had S&J as an AAA Approved repair shop. decided to take the chance and had the tow truck drop me there. So glad i did as John was very professional and had my AAA info at hand. The work estimates seemed reasonable and the shop fixed the car super fast and well worth two 40 min trips home and back to pick up car. He quoted me a $505. price to change a $75. part. Verified other repaired shops and their charge was $250-$325. less. Maybe because I was a women, SENIOR AT THAT, he felt I didn't know. It's a shame, that is why people have a hard time trusting mechanics. Glad God sees all things! read more

If you are a woman, send a man to do business. I sent my vw here. I explained the issue. First call from him after diagnostic was $800. By the end of the day my cost was $2500. He had found something else, I had a partially fixed car up to $800 charge and the car still wasn't drivable. read more

AAA referred me to this shop, so I'm thinking they would do right by their customers. My car stopped run and before that it was jerking. My traction monitor system light was the issue. Okay, so they have my car worked on it for a couple of days then called to tell me it's over $800 bear minimum to fix. I need my car so I say okay! My check engine light came the next day and my car started jerking. The guy told me when it was time to come get my car that they had fixed it no more jerking. This was a couple of weeks ago. I just had to get my car back out of the shop. Took it to another shop who not only fixed the issue that S and J say they fixed but the price they provided was reasonable for a mother of six!! Never would I ever refer anyone to S and J. Stop flirting with your female customers and do what's right by them!!!!! read more

I was traveling to go the Atlanta Aquarium with my granddaughter when my car broke down in .I contacted AAA and was told to bring it to S&J auto repairs. Car was brought there on Sunday.The following day i contacted S&J i was told they will call me back which they did the cost of the the repair was $350.00 as i was the shiftier cable i said OK when will it be done told at 1PM .I then said what credit cards do you accept he said we don't take out of state credit cards .Cash only i said major credit cards are accepted anywhere you want your vehicle cash only.I have contacted AAA as they recommended this repair shop as they are looking into this.I had to use Uber to travel around Atlanta and find a bank to get the cash which was a real treat as i had to use them quite often to find a bank then contact Uber again .When i arrived at the shop there was every major credit cards accepted .When i questioned the owner he said you want your car it is cash.I live in New Jersey never heard of such a thing . read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! Where to start first smh I brought my 2003 Volkswagen Passat to S&J automotive to get my alternator replace. Prior to me bringing my car there I called them twice to get a quote on how much it would cost. Well on both calls he told me the job was listed as a 3hr job and that they charge 80 dollars an hour, which totalled my expenses to 240 dollars. So the day I decide to drop my car off to the shop I get there at 8 a.m. exactly the time they open up. So 3hrs goes by without hearing anything from them I called to check on my car, because i figured it should be finished or almost finished. Sadly I was mistaken, not only that my car wasn't finished they didnt even take the old alternator off yet to be replaced. So after that he tells me he is going to have to charge me more 80 dollars more because it was more difficult than he thought it would be and that the book that tells you how much a job should take to finished the job was wrong it take 4 to 6 hrs . So i ended up having to pay 320 instead of what he quoted me. Me thinking ok 3hrs behind plus more money my day cant get any worse right ... wrong another 2 hrs goes by and my car still wasn't done, so I went up there to see what's going on to find out that they were not even working on my car. I watched them work on other people cars that came hours after me. So at this point my entire day is gone and the shop closed at 6:00 p.m. I got my car back at 6:35p.m. and the entire management are full of thugs and crooks. I had a couple things taken rom my car cant say because will be under investigation. Do not bring your car here I hope that will help as many people as it can prevent this from happening to them. read more
