In midst of shopping for new couches, we decided to have this couch refurbished as we couldn't find anything comparable so I started with a brief search on Yelp and came across Quality Furniture Services. We can an incredible experience from start to finish with Quality Furniture Services. I sent in a request this past Saturday, Peter responded very quickly. We had a brief phone conversation and then arranged for me to drop off my couch on Monday. Monday morning came and I realized that the couch was too long for my truck so I notified Peter. He was able to arrange for a pick up on Monday. By Tuesday, I received a call from Peter letting me know the couch was ready and that they could deliver it today. I met the delivery team at my home and it was seamless delivery. The couch looks and feels amazing. I'd highly recommend Peter and team for any furniture service needs!

The headboard's material was peeling and there were tears in the bench. I delivered both to the company's shop in Santa Ana. Both pieces were reupholstered as I waited. They have a variety of materials. I used an industrial vinyl for the headboard and leather (they had a scrap piece which fit perfectly!) for the bench. Each choice and reason for using one material vs another type was thoroughly explained so I felt comfortable with my choice. I also saw and understood why the original material on the headboard peeled, thus guiding my choice to the industrial vinyl (which is beautiful). I had the bench reupholstered a few years back. Upon removal of the original materials, it was found that two different colors of vinyl were used. There were also two different pieces of foam which were not glued properly and caused a dip to be created over time in the middle of the bench. Craftsmanship and materials were important for me on this project because I plan on keeping these pieces. I'm very happy with my experience, the value and price paid.

Either way I would highly recommend them - and I have to family and friends.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this experience was awful. My family and I have used Larry for…read moreover 20 years. In August 2020 I dropped off a outdoor bamboo sofa that needed to be sanded, painted and have the legs repaired. I was in no hurry. I left the sofa there for over a month before I started to check in to see how to progress was going. Each time I stopped in Larry had forgotten what is was I had asked for. This went on until December when I finally said I needed to get the sofa redone. He then said he'd do it that week. He did get it done in a week. I picked it up in January and I could tell that the paint had not been sanded down but just painted over and that the legs had been repaired in some places, but in other places the bamboo wrapping was still broken. I talked to Larry about it and he assured me it was all done with new wrapping and the paint job would hold up. He charged me $930. I am not good at arguing or confronting people, I knew that the sofa had not been sanded, ( I could see the layers of old paint under the new paint), and had I not already paid to have the cushions recovered, I would have left the sofa there and not paid for it. I brought the sofa home and placed it on my deck and 4 of the 8 legs weren't touching the ground. It wasn't even close to level. I thought about taking it. back, but it had taken Larry 6 months and I just decided to live with it. That was until the paint started peeling a week after I had it. I've had the sofa back for a month, and in that time the paint has started to peel all over AND the back support has broken from pressure. Whenever the legs were done, it must have put pressure on the back of the sofa that has caused it to cave in. I want to add that I haven't sat in it once since it's been back. The broken back, the peeling, all of this is not because of use but because it was re-paired incorrectly and not painted properly. I've asked for my money back, and if that doesn't work, I'm going to have to go to small claims court. Something I've never done and don't want to do. I was ok with the sofa not being perfect and decided to live with it. But it's now breaking in front of my eyes and is worse than when I brought it to him. I'm an easy going person and don't yell and sometimes I get taken advantage for that. But I can't live with paying almost $1,000 to get something back in worse condition that when I left it. - I'll update this review if I get my money back.

I requested an antique hutch to be restored. I didn't love that they initially tried to charge me…read morejust to come and evaluate the scope of work for the piece, especially when I knew the pricing was probably going to be costly (and it was). Thankfully they waived the fee. I trusted that they would do a good job based on their portfolio. They were accurate in their timeline for the completion of the project and the resulting hutch looks fantastic, I have no complaints there. The main reason I am giving this business two stars is because their communication leaves A LOT to be desired. I asked for progress photos as they were working on the piece in their shop. They never sent pictures until I had to follow up and ask for them. They knew ahead of time that they were going to need to deliver my piece urgently because they were going to need all the space in their shop for their next project. Yet, they did not communicate this with me until the very last minute, what were they going to do with my piece if I was unavailable for delivery when they needed it gone? That seemed like poor planning to me. Upon the initial quoting of the piece, I specifically asked them to not only have the main mirror replaced by their third party, but also have the antique locks repaired. I provided them with a key that fit the lock to aid in this process. They returned my piece to me with not only the lock issue not addressed, but also with one of the cabinet doors not fully functional (which is not how it was when they took the piece at the beginning). I had to report this issue after they had already left. It was only then that he recommended I contact his third party locksmith to resolve the issue. His recommended locksmith (Sav-Mor Lock & Key) has been completely unresponsive, and I can't find other locksmiths who specialize in antique locks. I then asked Haer where is the key that I gave them when they picked up the hutch, and it was only THEN that they told me they tried to test the key in one of the locks and a piece of the key broke off and is STILL currently stuck in one of the locks (they also didn't specify which lock they tested either). I am extremely disappointed and frustrated because I clearly specified all my needs before they accepted the project, and now I received an incomplete service. They have also stopped responding to my communications completely, which I find outrageous and irresponsible. I also got the impression that working on my project was a chore for them, as if I didn't pay top dollar for them to give me their best work. Again, in terms of their actual craftsmanship, Jose (who I believe did most of the work) did a great job. However, communication is a huge factor in determining who I award my business to, and based on my experience I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with another one of my projects.

They deliver/pickup from a large geographic area so even if you live farther away like in Newport Beach, you can still get their service super easy without leaving your home. I've been using Power Cleaners for over 5 years and they've never lost nor damaged anything. Everything is perfect and all of the employees are very nice and helpful.

However, marking up alteration prices by approximately 50%-60% is simply not acceptable. Unless I receive some type of credit or adjustment from the owner, unfortunately, I will not be using their services again.

What a wonderful find. I had a great chair that needed to be recovered and I found S & J Upholstery in my local town of San Clemente. What a treasure. We contacted several upholsterers. Howard's Custom Upholstery was the first to reply. Later, they turned out to offer the best price. Before selecting Howard's we dropped by in person. We met the owner, Tavi, and we were immediately impressed by both his knowledge and his friendly personality. Tavi showed us the fabric he would use for our new chaise linings. We approved the fabric and we set a date to do the work a couple of weeks in the future. On the day that Howard's came to pick up our chaises, they were very professional! They wore booties over their shoes. They carefully carried out each chaise, wrapped them in plastic and then carefully loaded them in their truck wrapping them in thick blankets to prevent damage in route. We were impressed. A couple of hours later we got a call that the chaises were done already. Wow! That was fast. We set a time for delivery. When the team from Howard's arrived they were just as careful unwrapping and bringing the chaises back into our home as they had been when removing them. They carefully turned each chaise over so we could inspect the new lining. They did a beautiful job! We were very pleased with the quality of their workmanship! When we have other reupholstery projects in the future, we will definitely call Howard's Custom Upholstery! Do not expect a one day turnaround like our chaises. They explained to us that ours was a simple job. For most work expect your furniture will be out for a while. We highly recommend Howard's Custom Upholstery, Mission Viejo.
