The Damage left after the move.
    Cherrisse C.

Damage to my wooden floors they placed no protection on the floor like other moving companies I've expired for over 20 yrs in the military. I called and they did not reply. I left texts and was ignored. I paid for 2 hrs 160 asked them to add 2 lounge chairs. He said he had to call the company. They were complete in one hr I paid for two. Even though they called an hour after the move to see if everything was ok. I did not notice the damage until the next day at the other property. If the company had of followed up instead of no reply at all I would not have posted this type of review. I will never use this company nor recommend it to anyone else. Customer Service and good business practices are important to paying customers.

April 16th Omar was hired to move my family's belongings from one home on base to another. Due to unsafe conditions that could harm my health while pregnant and my children's health I was advised to not enter the home. After paying roughly under $1k for Omar to pack and move everything within the home, I trusted his word when he locked up the first home and guaranteed everything was packed up and ready to move. Was I mistaken for trusting him, absolutely however a company without trust is nothing. My husband being deployed, having an upper respiatory infection, middle of a pandemic, pregnant... All he cared about was being paid! His movers broke a dresser and when asked if they had insurance, he ghosted! Assumibly blocked my number, however not before I confronted him later that day for not finishing the job when my cleaner notified me of the horrible mess of random household belongings they left! Clothes, military attire, carpet cleaner, family photos and carseats.. the list goes on. He confirmed he was aware items were left behind, and demanded more money in text message to finish the original job! Yes all of this is in text message! After seeking legal advice we have decided to file a civil suit to be compensated for the job not finished as well as the extreme emotional stress left on my shoulders to move the remainder of my home with 3 children while pregnant and sick. Scammed is the best way to sum this up, there is no beating around the bush. He has since blocked my cell number and refused to respond. According to some previous reviews this is nothing new of his behavior. Shocker I didnt see this coming. What better way to make money than by taking advantage of someone during a pandemic. This business is unprofessional, untrustworthy and demeaning! The moment you call him out, he will begin to send you or your wife (whomever is communicating) a heart emoji. This is no joke, very unprofessional for a business owner to send a heart to any clients! If you have made it this far through my review, you have been warned. Im truly unsure why more people have not taken action against this guy!

DO NOT TRUST THIS "COMPANY". Omar made an agreement to transport my 65-yr old mother, her household goods and her vehicle from FL to NC after my father passed away. He sent the order info to my uncle because my mother does not text or email. Even though the order did not specifically include the vehicle nor giving her a ride, he did not question it because the amount was the same as what was agreed upon. When Omar got to FL he told my mom he forgot about the vehicle but when I asked to speak to him, he said the Penske rental place did not have any trailers the day they picked up the truck. He assured me they would figure something out to take the vehicle with them. Then when I called to check on them they had already departed and Omar had told my mom he would just have to go back down the day after they unloaded in NC to get the vehicle but it would cost an extra $200. But he never went. He now claims it was because of Hurricane Florence but the hurricane was not projected to make landfall until Friday or Saturday and he was supposed to get the vehicle Monday and return Tuesday. He would have had plenty of time to make the trip safely. The next thing we know, my mom gets the keys in the mail after the hurricane passes with no letter, no phone call, nothing. I couldn't believe he would mail the keys considering how unreliable the mail was after the hurricane. They could've gotten easily gotten lost or misdelivered. When I called Omar to ask what happened he said he never discussed transporting a vehicle (see the Google review where he responded to my uncle's review stating it was discussed but not included in the order). He also claimed he didn't say anything about a trailer not being available. He said he can only go by what's on the order and it did not include the vehicle. The order didn't include giving my mother a ride either but thank goodness he didn't leave her down there. It doesn't even make sense that she would ask for a ride from them if they weren't going to pull her vehicle. He apologized about the keys and said he meant to include a letter that stated they would need to reschedule. So he said he would get back to me in 24 hours and have a resolution. After 24 hours I didn't hear from him so I texted him. He responded saying they could go down next week and deliver the vehicle and would email the invoice. I did not hear back so I texted again. He emailed the invoice 2 days later and it was for $675! Omar said it was a new order and since the date changed, the price changed. BOTTOM LINE: OMAR HAS NO INTEGRITY. Instead of owning up to a mistake he made and trying to make it right, he kept changing his story and penalized my mother, wanting to charge her more and more. She paid $3,500 and trusted him to follow through with what he said. Now I have to drive 10 hours each way with a baby, to get her vehicle which she has been without for almost a month. Don't rely on the positive reviews. You could be the next person he screws over. (Omar, I don't care how you respond to this review because you are a liar and there is nothing you can say that justifies how you handled this. And exposing the truth about your shady business isn't cyber bullying. I have the right to inform others about our experience. I promised you I would do this and I, unlike YOU, follow through with my promises.)

My interaction with Omar and his team was both professional and pleasant. We hired S&Q Movers to move our items into storage as our government move was unable to accommodate the date we needed to move prior to our renters moving in. My husband and I have been in the military for almost 20 years with greater than 15 moves between the both of us. We can definitely tell between a good and bad move. Unfortunately, this move between our home and into storage was not a good move but greatly subpar. It is by far one of the worse I've seen. There were things not boxed and just strewn about without thought. There was no plan in unloading into the storage unit based on the appearance. I spoke to Omar about it and his remark was ' I didn't know you wanted to be a specific way.' It was not about a specific way but rather basic packing. I was surveyed today by our government hired movers and did not preface him with its current state, he immediately asked who did the work and was quite dismayed. His team is going to have to repack. It was really disappointing as I saw they had great reviews, and did not offer anything to address the issue. I do not find fault with the movers themselves but upper management for not implementing QC and better training. I would at least not recommend them for movement into storage.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF ITEMS TO MOVE!…read more **** This is my experience with the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! After I had time to sleep on this. I would give this company Negative 3 zero's! My reasoning is: 1. Despite it being a blind moving company (which they do not disclose to you) It's not good with customer service. 2. Yes, they provide a 16ft truck to blindly move massive amounts of stuff. However, it was the company's driver who informed me that a bigger truck was an option. I would have had to rent it on my expense (which I would have gladly done) knowing the amount that I had to move. And when I informed him it was never offered to me, he said, "I'll have to speak to him about that." 2. Because I was told that by the company's driver, I then expressed my concerns via text about not being informed of that option and the fact they would have to take multiple tips. So, at the beginning of the move, the company was aware I had concerns. 3. The drivers were rushing at the end. I know this because when I asked them to place things in their perspective places, the company's driver told me, "We have to focus on the larger items that can be moved because we need to be mindful of our time because we have other jobs to do." This was told to me towards the end of the 2nd unload. We still had to go back for another pick-up. Now, what has me upset is I get contacted by the owner at the end, after I pay the massive balance to move 20 minutes away!!!! He tells me that he didn't "know" I had concerns and he "wished" he would have known sooner because he could have given a discount. However, there's nothing her can do now. Bullshit! The company was aware I had concerns at the beginning!!! He then proceeds to tell me that the drivers told him that I added on things at the end to be moved. Bullshit again! You can check whatever body cam to verify. Everything in that house is needed to be moved! They were rushing at the end. They knew at the beginning they would have to take multiple trips! I even moved things in my car to help. In the end, I helped unload some items off the truck!! I didn't have to do that! Not when I'm paying you to do a job. However, I knew they were pressed for time. I would not rent a moving company to have them move partial items! That's incorrect. I will say the rug in the garage was picked up on the third pick-up run. WHAT I DONT LIKE IS BEING LIED TO OR BEING LIED ON!!!!!! I was good to your drivers. Even brought them dinner because I felt bad for them being rushed to move on and for the multiple trips. However, they now tell inaccurate information (Lies) to the company for the company contact me telling me there's nothing he can do!!!! Wtf! I moved 20 minutes away, and it cost me $1400!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have a lot of stuff to move, DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I will never recommend this company!

They got an entire apartment's worth of stuff moved down 3 floors and unloaded for us at our new home across town in only 3 hours. Not once did they milk the clock. They even move electronics in a separate van to keep them safe which I think is a much better process than most companies usually have. I was very impressed!! The price was also really great compared to other quotes we got! But what really sold me on this business besides their reliability and hard work was how caring the owner was. Despite the fact that we had a really good team, we did have something get damaged accidentally. As soon as the owner found out, he went above and beyond to help us get it replaced immediately. I feel that no matter how good a company is, accidents can happen and what really matters is if a company will make it right or if they will leave you hanging. This moving company cared in a way that you won't find with larger companies. All that to say, our belongings are important to us or we wouldn't bother to bring them with us when we move. So if you're going to hire someone, pick this company because you can actually trust them and they will take care of you.

However, they were horribly inefficient. It took a four man crew twice as long to move us out of the apartment as it had taken a 2 man crew to move us into the apartment with the same amount of stuff. Also, we had some bags with personal items in a corner that we said we would move ourselves. They insisted multiple times they needed the bags to use as filler in the truck, and when we finally said ok it took extra time for them to use an unnecessary amount of tape on the bags. Furthermore, we had a couch in the bedroom and this crew could not figure out how to move my couch without taking the bedroom door off its hinges- the whole process took an hour, which was problematic as we were paying $225 an hour. That couch has been through six moves with me- 2 of those times I personally moved with the help of an older uncle and it has never taken an hour to move because it's not a terribly heavy couch. In addition to the inefficiencies, we still have bookshelves, a glass insert, and a remote control that they packed up missing. Lastly, I had several boxes marked fragile in big, bold letters and the crew stacked heavy boxes on top of my fragile items.

I am six months pregnant (25 weeks at the time) and alone because my husband moved to PA for a job. I was left with 70% of the house to pack and of course needed help. We agreed to get a U-Haul and hire movers to put the stuff in the truck, then my husband would fly back down to NC to drive the truck. After doing searching reviews on both google and yelp, I contacted a few different companies for a quote. Box & Dolly/Mr. Gibbs reached out to me via phone to communicate his services and rate. He was personable but also very transparent and straight forward about his fee which was 1 flat hourly rate. The day of move, Mr. Gibbs and two other men got there 15 mins early and I was able to show them what needed to stay/go. They laid down a runners throughout the house (to not damage the floor) and got to work. He quickly realized there was something wrong with the U-Haul when he started it to move it. I called U-Haul and got the most wasteful runaround for about 30 mins. Mr. Gibbs picked up the phone and called the U-Haul on Bragg Blvd and was able to get an emergency switch within 2 minutes. Again, I was alone, so Mr. Gibbs offered to give me a ride to the U-Haul. The truck BEARLY went over 30 mph and sounded like it was on the brink of exploding. Mr. Gibbs drove the truck to the Bragg Blvd location and even negotiated an upgrade (larger truck) on my behalf for the inconvenience. At the end, he did not charge me for the almost hour and a half it took to switch the truck out. There's no doubt in my mind that if I hired another moving company, they would have loaded the faulty truck and it would have been our problem after that. There was absolutely no way the first truck was going to make it out of my driveway once it was loaded. To say I highly recommend this company is an understatement. They also took special care to wrap and disassembled furniture. They also were meticulous about packing the truck. When we arrived in PA, our items had not shifted and was not damaged.
