Just returned from a girls trip to San Diego with S & S Casino Tours. We have used this company for many trips across the country and have always had excellent and personable service. This is a family owned and operated business that gives you complete service from the booking to the send off at the airport for you to head home. You have nothing to do except follow the information given. If you have any interest in these trips, I definitely suggest you contact S & S Casino Tours.

*****THIS IS A LONG READ*****…read more This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I must say, my check-in experience was horrible! This is my birthday weekend, so I came alone for a little R&R and self-care. I did not expect to be treated as horribly as I was! I arrived about 3:30 and went to the kiosk for express check-in, only to realize I had left my wallet in my car. I went over to the bell hop desk, where I was nicely greeted by Mario, to ask if I could leave my belongings there while I went to retrieve my wallet. Mario explained to me that he could hold my things, but had to grab a cart for them and give me a ticket as standard protocol. While I waited for him to return, the most RUDE, NASTY, ARROGANT, IMPOLITE, IGNORANT male comes to me yelling, "MA'AM YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE!" I told him to calm down and stop talking to me like that! I then tried explaining the situation to him, and what Mario told me, but before I could finish, he cut me off and yells... "Well he's new! That's why he told you to leave your stuff here! I'M THE BELL CAPTAIN! HE SHOULD'VE CAME AND GOT ME! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE, YOU NEED A TICKET!" I asked him why he was yelling! There was no need for that, especially if I'm not speaking to him that way! He replies while flailing his arms around, "OH HERE WE GO! HERRRRRE WE GO!" I tried again to explain that Mario had already told me that, but Mr. "Bell Captain" who I later found out name is Saleem, was so bent on letting me know his position that he couldn't even hear what I was saying. Mario then comes back with the cart, and he proceeds to yell at Mario! "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! WHO AM I??? WHO AM I ??" Mario and another Bellman quietly says, "Bell Captain." He then says, "YEAH SO THAT'S WHY Y'ALL CHECK WITH ME FIRST!" I stepped in and told him that if he's a real leader, he doesn't have to blast who he is, (not to mention it was on his name tag) and he should not be embarrassing his employees publicly. He could have talked to him in the back and let him know what he did wrong. I didn't need to see that! I also told him, I'm not sure if he's having a bad day, but there was no reason for him to behave this way! He starts yelling...again...."I'M GREAT! ALL MY BILLS ARE PAID! I GOT MONEY IN THE BANK! I'M GOOD!" I don't understand what that had to do with anything but whatever. He then went back to yelling about him being the Bell Captain and what the protocol was for me leaving my stuff there. CLEARLY he missed that Mario did the right thing from the beginning! Mr. Bell Captain just felt the need to power trip in that moment for whatever reason. I told him he needed to listen and not interrupt when someone is speaking because he would have known that it was handled correctly! He put his hand up and says, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I looked at Mario, thanked him for helping me and told him he did nothing wrong. This situation made me so angry that I burst into tears! To add insult to injury, after all the drama, I was waiting for over an hour to get my belongings because SOMEONE put the incorrect room number in the system. I found that out because I had to go back down to the lobby to see what was going on with my things. I was late for my dinner reservation, and my night was pretty much ruined. I couldn't fully enjoy my dinner the way I'd hoped to. I actually cried while at the restaurant because I was still so frustrated with how everything had gone. Not only did I come here to rest and relax, I came her to try and release some of my grief from the loss of my Baby Brother. Hopefully my spa experience will be much better. Shout out to "T" whom I believe was the Operations Manager. He helped me calm down and agreed to address Saleem and the issue. However, I wanted this situation to be documented. NOBODY should ever be able to get away with mistreating ANYONE no matter their position. I WILL be pursuing this further until I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Our marina community enjoyed the convenience of this hotel/casino. Pros: * Nice marina views from the Chart House. Solid happy hour. * Vic and Anthony's Steak House is always consistent. Order their burger! * Great people-watching at the outdoor H20 pool (6th floor) * Lillie's is one of the best Asian restaurants around! Open late on the weekends. * Renovations are underway. New carpets in the lobby and updated guest rooms/hallways. Nice! * The Deck Bar (outdoor bar) - the only non-private bar on the water in Atlantic City * Strong wi-fi in guest rooms Cons: * This is the SMOKIEST casino in Atlantic City. Your hair will reek. * In-room dining only available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. * Aged clientele (lots of seniors). * Barn-style guest room bathroom door that offers zero sound privacy. * The Deck Bar (yes, this is both a pro and con). The bands (and their music) are redundant year after year. You will not get lost in here. The casino floor is relatively small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! The Golden Nugget will always hold a special place in our boater hearts.

They gave us a "complimentary upgrade" to the Ocean Tower even though we had booked 2 months ago for the Rendezvous Tower. We were not impressed with the "upgrade". It was like they divided 2 rooms to make one. The TV is too far from the bed to really watch it, the sofa was dirty and stained. The bathrooms were much smaller with 24" vanity in bathrooms with no place to place your toiletries. The shower was nice ...and extremely slippery. Yes they did supply a rubber mat that was probably 18" long at best. So proper placement before water hits the slippery floor was imperative. The sink faucets cold water was always warm and the shower water was at best lukewarm. We did go and complain about this and they offered us a "comped" meal at the VIP. More about that later in this post. We have ALWAYS had some sort of water view (even if so slight) and with the upgrade we got a dirty rooftop with spotlights ‍ Casino floor had very few "cocktail" Waitresses for water or coffee (we don't drink) We were also "comped" VIP dining for one night. It was horrible. Dried jerk chicken, pork was under cooked, the soup was like a salt lick and just a couple of bite size dessert options. I guess they expect people to just go and drink. Good thing I was able to fill up on a salad and lemon water. Not sure if we'll be coming back to this casino in the future.

The rooms were spacious and had beautiful views, even with the snow and cold weather. The casino area offered plenty to do, with several dining options. I was a little disappointed with the check-in staff, though. The young Asian woman at the front desk was extremely rude, which made me want to leave the hotel. Additionally, there was a random table in the hallway with a tablecloth and food that had been sitting there for more than 12 hours (if not longer). -- disgusting! Despite these issues, I still had a great birthday experience, but I do wish the check-in staff had been more welcoming.

There was plenty of stuff to do some of the highlights was the pool, the beach, the boardwalk and the casino. There is an insane amount of things to do and I think honestly every day you can experience something different. The carnival is cool and all the shops along the boardwalk. They have little trolleys to take you from each side of the boardwalks because you can definitely walk a lot throughout the day. It was a fun and exciting trip that I will almost remember. I recommend you being some water bottles in your luggage so you have them as the room is not stocked. All the gifts shops are a bit expensive. Having spent…read moreconsiderable time in Monte Carlo's gaming salons and the premier resorts of Las Vegas, I understand what truly distinguishes luxury hospitality from merely expensive hospitality. The hotel itself is comfortable, well-appointed, and enjoyable. However, it falls well short of the level of refinement, anticipation, and impeccable service found at the finest properties, such as the Encore in Las Vegas. Luxury isn't about the décor alone--it's about making every guest feel valued through flawless execution. The greatest disappointment, however, has been the VIP Online Casino service. A VIP relationship should be built on responsiveness and professionalism. Instead, inquiries often go unanswered for days, creating an experience that feels inattentive and, frankly, inconsistent with the standards expected of a premium loyalty program. ( that's for you James M.) There is tremendous potential here, but premium status should deliver a premium experience--not just in name, but in every interaction. Until the service reflects that philosophy, this property will remain a step behind the world's truly exceptional casino resorts.

After reading so many of the reviews on here.... I can see that some of these folks just have a…read morevendetta against certain employees at this place. People who have never left a review before creating accounts just to badmouth someone. My family has been playing here for years so I speak from experience. Here are the facts: 1. They are trying to accommodate everyone... Therefore they have installed a card reader system to automate some of the process and make it easy for you to keep your points and you're spending money in one place. They do keep a certain amount of machines on quarters as well for those who prefer otherwise. I find this to be a very good compromise. 2. They have some very good prizes in this arcade. Obviously, the better prizes are going to be won by saving up your coupons over time... but then again, there are exceptions. This week I watched as a lady came in and wanted to win an NBA jersey. She sat down next to me at a poker machine and was unfamiliar... I showed her how to play five at a time to maximize the jackpot and, within 5 minutes she hit a jackpot high enough to win the jersey. Their coupons never expire so you can save them up and trade them in at anytime. Also, if they don't have it, they will get it for you. You just have to ask at the counter. They are extremely accommodating. 3. They work very hard in here... Everyone has a job... The floor people do not work behind the food counter... The redemption people do not work out on the floors... They all have specific functions that they are trained very well for. It can get hectic... but they honestly do to try to take care of everybody. There are certain times when they get very busy because it is the end of a tournament or there is a special free drawing going on at that moment... The place is huge so if you don't see someone in the front of the store... They also have people stationed in the middle and in the rear of the store as well as out by the cranes. 4. Somebody on here posted that the bathrooms are always filthy. I know this to be absolutely false. They clean these regularly throughout the day. This is 100% FACT! They have three bathrooms that are kept clean... Very clean. I see the workers who go in and clean them. Most of the employees who work here have that easy-going attitude and do whatever it takes to make things work. There is no way you could work there without being easy-going because the number of nit wits you have to deal with on a daily basis. They really do want you to have a good experience. 5. Cranes: You can't complain because you spent $5 trying to win a $500 item and didn't get it. Some cranes are easier than others. All machines ...at all arcades...use random number generators and will determine when a machine will be eligible to "pay out". A certain amount of money has to have been put into a machine (machines are set looser or tighter) before the claws tighten up more, before the stacker will stack to the top etc. etc. etc. That's just how these things work. It's a bit of skill and a bit of timing. Just chill out and have a good time. If you win points inside the casino area they will allow you to use these points purchase any of the stuffed animals or any of the other items in the cranes. All you have to do is ask. My favorite thing to do is just sit and watch some of the families with younger children having a blast in here. They are laughing and playing together... That makes my day. This is a family place. If you wander in drunk on a Saturday night and cause any problem, they are going to quickly show you the door. It's a safe, fun place to chill and have a good time. Enjoy it for what it is. I'm not a paid spokes person for this place...I've just enjoyed it for many years. I hope you will too.
