It was easy to find what I needed, and the layout makes browsing simple even if you're short on time. I just wish they sold the craft beer as singles without having to get a whole 4 pack. I didn't get a chance to fully explore (and just realized they apparently have a food/market section too, which I totally missed), but based on this visit I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again when I have more time to look around. Overall, a good spot with a great wide selection.

I ordered the Casanova: Prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzarella, house-made pesto, roasted red peppers, and arugula on a freshly baked French roll. I went with it cold, which I think is the right call, though I'd be interested in trying it lightly toasted next time. The sandwich was outstanding. You can genuinely taste the freshness of the ingredients--from the bread to the mozzarella and crisp arugula. Simple, well-executed, and very satisfying. 5/5. Absolutely worth a stop--and while you're there, you might as well grab a good bottle of bourbon on the way out.

The place itself is…read morenicely decorated with a cool Philly theme, and I appreciated the variety of Philly-style sandwiches and specials on the menu. Unfortunately, the service really fell short. It took way too long just to be acknowledged. The hostess was friendly, but the big man behind the counter, looked right past me twice and took another customer's order before mine. Thankfully, a younger gentleman stepped in and took my order, which I appreciated. As for the food, the cheesesteak was very disappointing. It lacked seasoning completely, and the only thing that somewhat saved it was the extra ketchup I added. I couldn't even finish it there, I ended up taking it home and fixing it myself just to make it edible. Being a Philly native, I had higher expectations. The hoagies are actually good, but the cheesesteaks just don't live up to what you'd expect. Overall, not the worst experience, but definitely not one I'd rush back for.

Two bites in and we both decided we were happy the other place was closed. The bread was amazing. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the sauce was outstanding. The sandwich was so good I didn't even get upset when I spilled a little sauce on my shirt. We both got the half-sandwich and when they sat it on the table I was blown away. Their half is anyone else's full. Seriously, the sandwiches are huge. We were only in AC to say we've been to New Jersey, so finding such a great local lunch spot was just what we wanted. The service was friendly and they genuinely seemed happy to meet everyone who came in to grab some food. The wall of celebrity photos speak to the notoriety of the White House, and the quality of the food and the service speaks to why celebrities go out of their way to eat there.

They are well known and upon entering you can clear tell by the walls of pictures with famous figures in sports, entertainment, and television lining the walls near the booths. They also have limited counter searing at the front. They have a menu of subs only (no fries are served only bagged chips and soda). We opted, on this trip, to get the foot long Italian cold cut sub with light mayo, oil, hot peppers, lettuce, and tomatoe. You have to go to the back of the store to place your order with one of the cooks at the counter there. They will give you a number and once your number is called, you pick up your order and pay for it at the front register. The booth seating is for customers that are eating in store. Our Italian sub was loaded with a variety of meats and cheese. It's cut in half, but you can cut that in half and you really can feed four people and a cheesesteak sub with sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, light mayo, and hots. The rolls are fresh and sturdy to hold up to the meats, cheese and topping inside (fact: the rolls are made from Formica deli across the street!). The meats and cheeses were fresh in the Italian cold cut and the meat in the cheesesteak was ample with a great taste. All in all, a great spot to grab a sub to go or enjoy in the store.
