I would give this company ZERO. The guy showed very bad behaviour and was very rude. I informed him what I want and how I want it, and his answer was, "We know how to do our job!" Later after he left starts calling me asking me how I want it done and my answer to him was "I thought you knew how to do your job, why are you calling me asking me how" Do better. We had our backyard done by them and Sam Sr. was our contact. From the beginning there were things that were unclear and we had to keep clarifying and were constantly told it will cost more. Even with that, we went with them thinking it was just a misunderstanding which happened twice! The job took about a week, no start date was given but it was just a random show up. The last day of the week being Friday, Sam Sr. was rushing to finish and at first, said he would return on Saturday if it could not be completed because Monday he had another job to go to. On Friday, things were rushed and the job was not completed but they claimed it was done. We found that the pavers were not set on the stairs and there were spaces between paver that were not covered with sand properly. Also, the areas where the stones should have been filled were not done and my yard was not cleaned up entirely before they left. I had to send video of my pavers not being set which was later fixed. Also, my husband was upset at the job not being completed and done half fast since he had another project lined up. This is a new construction home. I later had all my windows cleaned only to be told that there was sand stuck on the bottom of the frame of the sliding glass door and could not be easily cleaned due to the rain which clogged my weep holes. I contacted Sam Sr. to come and use his power washer to clean it up. I am extremely disappointed to report that he ignored my calls and messages and then later made an appointment and never showed up. Once they get their money, the customer no longer exists! We are very disappointed as my husband really liked Sam Sr. I do not recommend them. Not only did we offer them drinks daily but also bought him a case of beer! Our neighbors' contractors completed their jobs entirely and also cleaned up their yards once job was complete. This is a standard expectation which was not completed after the completion of our job. read more

We were looking to get our yard done and called for a quote. Sam Sr's response to our request was "are you going to hire me? If you're not hiring me right now I'm not going to waste my time." Mind you, we called for a quote, and we were demanded to hire him on the spot if we wanted a quote. We foolishly agreed and he said he could come out the following day around 1pm. 1pm came the next day and after waiting and hour after, we called and he says he's an hour away having a day. When we were researching and taking quotes from a variety of landscapers for our backyard, Sam's quote was clearly the winner. We did not just evaluate on price because the lowest priced bids were clearly from inexperienced landscapers, and it would have just cost us more in the long run to fix their mistakes. Sam was a true professional from the second I met him. He knew exactly what he was doing and had a lot of experience working with a variety of materials, vendors, HOAs, and architectural considerations. He scheduled us promptly and his team were true professionals. They worked extremely hard and efficiently, and they finished the job 100% and AHEAD of schedule. This is not an instance of a contractor finishing the job 90% and then failing to come back to finish touch up details weeks later and never quite finishing. In fact, Sam's payment installments are designed so that he does not collect 100% of his fee until the job is 100% done. On top of everything else, Sam is also knowledgeable about various material and plants, and was able to give us some great input. He and his team are extremely responsive and organized. I would recommend him again and again, and some of my neighbors have now started to use him because of the phenomenal job he did on our backyard! Will be calling him soon for our front. read more

My backyard is amazing! Built in BBQ grill, acid wash colored concrete, grass, trees, lights, the whole 9 yards! They truly made it an entertainers backyard. I was interested in getting a job done. This company passed flyers out in my neighborhood and the pricing seemed very reasonable. I emailed them a complete set of plans and requested a quote. Approximately one week later I received a response asking if we were still looking for a quote. I responded yes and told the person we look forward to receiving the estimate. Approximately one week later I followed up with a phone call and I'm not sure who I spoke to, but they informed me they were busy and they would have the quote ready early in the week. (Meaning 9/23 or 9/24). On this phone call i informed them I was excited to get started and we would like to start our project around 10-1-19. Nothing was said except we will have your bid ready early next week. Today 9/24 I called to follow up with the bid process and I spoke to the son who works in Orange County. While speaking to him I learned he had started our quote yet and they were extremely busy. He would not be able to start our project for 6 weeks. He assumed I didn't want them to do the work because I wanted them to start sooner. I let him know I was no aware of the 6 weeks but even so, last week when I spoke them they could have informed me they could not meet the 10-1 deadline and it would be at least 6 weeks before we could get started. I guess he didn't not appreciate me telling him how to communicate because he responded it was going to take him 3-4 hours to put together our quote and I seem upset and he did not want to waste his time. I was not upset, but having a contrActor who reached out to me to see if I was still interested in receiving a quote tell me he did not want to waste his time was quiet sad. I'm not sure where honesty, integrity, or customer service has gone but they could have been free and I would not use them. If you have a big landscape overhaul project which requires landscape plan, HOA approval, electrical work, plumbing, and softscape. I would stay away from this contractor. We paid $1K for a less than amature landscape plan that Sam Jr. had to put together based on all of our ideas (because he is not a designer). The drawing was 3+ weeks late (he was too busy with other 'big' projects), the drawing and wording were so small that no one can read them, and it lacked specific details we've provided. Sam Jr just talks, makes promises, and doesn't reflect the details in the plan he produces. He is however, good about overcharging his services because he subcontracts much of the work. After our HOA rejected our plan, we ended up doing our own on visio because we didn't have time to wait another month or 2 for Sam's revision, and didn't want to risk his less than amature drawing to be rejected again. read more
