We reached out to Rob and his company for an estimate to relocate part of our drip system in our front yard that had been damaged. Rob responded quickly and was at our house the same day to provide an estimate. He was knowledgeable and gave us a fair estimate. We decided to move forward with his quote and we are so happy that we did. Scheduling the day of the repair, Rob was kind enough to work around our schedules. He and his team arrived on time and communicated throughout the day about progress that they were making. PSA: long post ahead because we are extremely happy with services provided and hope this helps with you deciding on what route to take with your landscaping needs however, if post is too long here's a short summary: communication was spot on since the beginning, we were given great options and alternatives to keep within budget, showed up every time he said he would, went above and beyond what we expected, worked around an extremely busy schedule that we have in order to get the project done. 12/10 recommend My husband and I recently became first-time homeowners in menifee. It's a new construction, and the backyard was dirt with nothing else when wet moved into our home. We reached out for a quote and had a reply within the same day for an appointment that weekend for Rob to stop by to see our backyard and provide a quote. He arrived on time, and we could tell he was knowledgeable and passionate about the services he provides. We told him what we were looking to do and our budget. Our main goal was to have a huge patio so we could add furniture and a fire pit along with real grass, a place to plant, and keeping our dogs from digging under the fence since they escaped on 3 separate occasions. Rob was very attentive to our wants, concerns, and budget. We initially told Rob we wanted concrete on the sides of the house because we thought this would for sure keep the dogs from escaping. Rob mentioned the additional concrete on the sides would put us over our budget and there was a better solution to allow us to remain within what we were willing to pay. I'm no landscaper, but he mentioned something along the lines of putting some type of mesh thing down and rocks on top so there was no way they could get through it and escape. The other quotes we received from landscaping companies didn't mention alternative options, and they weren't as willing to help us with sticking within budget and offering different solutions to do so. We decided to go forward with the project and didn't realize we needed to submit the plans to our HOA so they could approve them first. I emailed Rob everything the HOA needed to review to include equipment they would use, a full-out design in PDF format, location of sprinklers, grass, etc. It was ALOT and unexpected. Rob got us the information and design drawn out within less than 24 hours. HOA took a few weeks to approve everything because we started the process during the holidays, right after Thanksgiving. While waiting, Rob kept in contact with me, which was reassuring. Plans were finally approved, and Rob got started with his team right away on our backyard. My husband and I were only available weekends because we commute to San Diego during the week, and Rob didn't mind working with our schedule. After his team laid down the grass, we noticed the sprinklers weren't hitting a certain area, which we were going to mention the next day when he came back. We didn't even get a chance to bring it up because the next day, Rob fixed it so that area got water. Also, our main concern of the dogs getting out, the"mesh stuff" and rocks were put down but it looked like there was still a slight possibility of dogs getting out (they are legit escape artists), so this was something we were going to mention to Rob as well. But again, we didn't need to because we noticed the next day he had fixed it so there was 0% chance of them getting out, which was fixed without us saying a word about it. ALSO, we had no idea how to work our water system that was preset on timers for the front yard before we moved in. Rob used the existing sprinkler timer system thing to hook up the sprinklers in the backyard and took the time to thoroughly explain to us how it works, how to change it, and the cool features it has. Rob and his team are very attentive to detail and ask thorough questions to hear, but more importantly, to understand the needs of their customers, which they keep in mind from start to finish. So I needed to dig out a strip of dirt in my back driveway, backfill good soil, install a subsurface irrigation system and plant grass. I have a tiny property, so that strip of dirt in the back was going to be my only "greenery" for the entire area. It's a pretty small project, but like everybody else, you want it done right and at a fair price. So I started calling around. I loathe cold calling contractors for a job. I try to get referrals, but nobody really had a landscaper handy - just gardeners. So I got on Yelp, made my list and preceded to call landscapers. Long story short, I had three no-shows, one quote astronomically high, another real cheap (but they guy didn't instill any confidence in me) and finally Rob from San Agustin Landscape. As other people have noted, Rob is VERY knowledgeable and you can tell he loves doing this. We talked for a while and he listened to all the things I wanted to do and formulated a landscaping plan exactly to my specifications. If you've worked with a lot of contractors like I have, you're used to inevitably compromising with your idea and what the contractor will or can do. Not here, Rob accommodated EVERYTHING I asked for. I mean everything. I got such a good vibe from this consultation, I called him a few days later, settled on a price and pulled the trigger on the project. Rob and his crew came by a week later and after a couple of days, the job was completed. Just as we agreed, the project went EXACTLY to plan. Rob even took the time to go through, in very in-depth detail, how to program the timer. It was such a pleasant experience. I had been hand watering my backyard for years because my dogs thoroughly "uninstalled" my irrigation system. I paid a neighbor's "mow and blow" guy to install new valves with the I intent to have him install drip lines. The new valves were a bit of an audition. After it took the guy two days to improperly install two valves, I chose to not have him do anything else. I then sought out referrals, and Robert came highly recommended. I contacted Robert and he was quick to come out and give me a quote. Robert's quote was much more than the other guy's, but I found this appropriate based on the fact the other guy obviously had little irrigation knowledge. This was the difference between guess work and an expert. I also expected Robert's quote to be more, so it was a go! Robert and his crew were at my house a couple days later, and after a few hours the backyard was completely done. Robert also made sure to try and install things so my dog did not undo his work. I don't think much could be reasonably done stop a determined Malinois, but I am still glad Robert made the effort! Part of Robert's quote was to try and diagnose why a section of irrigation in the front yard was not working. I had told Robert I did not expect an extensive repair as part of the quote since the complexity of this issue was unknown (I was hoping it was just the valve, which was obviously bad). I said we could negotiate a fee if the issue was complex and required digging up my yard. It turned out the leaky valve was bad, and a PVC pipe had been broken when cement work was done. I considered this fix complex since they trenched from the break in the pipe to the valve about 15 to 20 feet away. They replaced the section of pipe from the break to the new valve instead of using a cheap pipe repair device. I must admit that I was worried Robert was going to say I owed him more because of the labor involved in the fix that was more even more complex than described here. That did not happen. Robert said it was included. Another unexpected bonus! Robert programmed my irrigation timer and then walked me through the work they had done in the backyard. He inspected the work to ensure his employees did not do anything wrong and made sure I was happy. I was indeed happy. Skip the amateur and pay an expert. Roberto did a fantastic job from design to installation. The plants selected were perfect for our property. Roberto used many varieties of plants to tie in a great Southwest feel. He incorporated agave, Jasmine, Lavender, Silver Sheens, and other various plants to create a very great look. Roberto also installed drip line using The Rain Bird system which connects to my iPhone with their app so I can monitor or change my watering patterns at the touch of my phone. The Rain Bird App connects to the Weather channel and if Rain is approaching the system will turn off my watering times to allow Mother Nature to doing the watering. Very cool. I had a bee in my bonnet about getting my mud bowl of a backyard re-sodded right away and called a few businesses about a quick fix for a small area. Roberto texted me back right away and was responsive throughout all my numerous questions. I'm giving a 5 stars rating to this business not because they did a great job (and they did) but because the behavior when a major issue arised. Roberto's team installed new sod in our back garden together with sprinklers and flowers. They were on time, very nice to work with and did a great job. The price was also right. Unfortunately the sod went through what I think is called "truck shock" and basically never recovered from the travel and big areas were burn-out and yellow a few days after installation. Even if I do not think that this was Roberto's team fault, he took full accountability for the issue, never tried to push back and very proactively addressed the issue. This is especially remarkable because Roberto was in middle to move his business to Irvine and our house is in the Palos Verdes Peninsula. We first agreed to try to clean and re-seed the burned areas and he did it. But this didn't address the issue in full so he agreed to fully replace the sod with new one and he did it also. Again never tried to push-back. The area looks now great. For those with experience with contractors, you know that things can go bad very quickly when issues that cost money to the contractor happen but Roberto is not one of those and, in addition of all the great work he does, this is why I fully recommend him. read more

If I could give Robert and his crew a 10, oh boy, I would. I reached out to Robert summer 2016, thinking about my project. But, I wanted to have outside work done on my house first. In January, I called Robert to tell him I was ready. Robert worked out a design, with very good pricing. Robert's design included removing old rocks, plants, keeping some existing plants while removing other, adding plants, pavers, lights, an address boulder, and my dry river bed.
