After Haro Landscaping redid our backyard, including a very challenging slope, I did not hesitate to hire them to install artificial turf at our rental property. Dario Jr. and Dario Sr. were always there to answer any questions that I had and both the demo/prep crew and the turf installers did an excellent job! The backyard is a huge area and the turf was laid in such a way that you could not see any seams or gaps. They finished the project very quickly, and we are very happy with the final result! My only regret is not doing this sooner. The grass looks perfect and more natural than I thought it would. Both Dario Jr and Dario Sr. were also very helpful and patient through the process and even made time to stop by afterwards when I needed help re-setting the sprinklers. Dario and team did really great work in completing our landscaping; concrete, curved path borders, crushed rock, plants, gas and electric conduits, modified drainage, additional irrigation. We had a general idea of what we wanted but he helped us solidify the design and suggest what layout would work, and what plants to start with. He provided drawings for the HOA approval, arranged the city inspection of the trenches/conduits, and even dropped by to water the new plants until the irrigation was wired up to the central system. When individual pieces of work got scheduled (e.g. concrete pouring, crushed rock) - the team would be in and out and cleaned up after themselves in a day. So, no piles of dirt or rocks were left outside the house overnight. Our neighbors were impressed with this, as they had contractors leave piles around on the street/driveway for days. Due to material shortages at the moment, it meant some waiting in between phases, but Dario kept us in the loop all the time. He also made sure to check in with us to make sure we were happy along the way both before and after each phase. The very reasonable price he quoted at the beginning was the price we paid at the end. So there were no surprise charges. Definitely recommended. read more

Update: Dario contacted my mom after this review was posted. He came and addressed the sprinkler issue (not the system, because he's not responsible for that.) he apologized to my parents about all the issues addressed in this review, including the drinking on the job, which three people in the household witnessed. He stated that he apologized that happened, that if it happened it wasn't on his watch and he will address it with his crew. And yes there was no mess during the final walk through because my dad took the whole day before hand cleaning it all up. My mom never saw it because she's never home. During this apology Dario had the audacity to bargain with my mom. He said if I remove the review he will replace the sprinkler system for free. My mom approached me and informed me of this. I asked her if she's sees anything wrong with his request. I informed my mom that I myself would pay for a new system and Dario can go on about his day. He's intentionally messed with my moms emotions and I'm done. So Dario, no I will not remove this review for I know it will help others decide wether to hire you or not. There's nothing but the truth in this review therefore it's staying. And please stop contacting my mom about removing this review, the sprinkler system will be fixed by someone else. Terrible schedule management. Backyard and front yard left a mess with the excuse that I didn't call to complain about it to have it cleaned up. New Concrete pour cracked in two sections. Additional pricing requests affecting critical path to project finishing ignored. Dario Haro Sr. Smoked cigarettes in backyard and tossed them anywhere he pleased. Sharp screws from concrete forms left in areas to be mulch beds are dangerous for owners and pets. Had to slowly take work away from him because the guy could never get me pricing and or staff my small project. If you're fine with a slow moving project- this team is for you. They are too busy- and do not create a proper construction schedule. Dario Sr. also harassed me for leaving a bad review on my community FB page-extremely unprofessional. Be careful using Dario. We indicated that we wanted a lush landscaping for our entrance to our wine country home. We paid him $7,000 and all we got was a bunch of rocks and a few small plants. We told him we wanted some rocks but not the whole front entrance being small rocks. He came back a second time after we complained and really it does not look any better. I was looking for a contractor to do an RV parking slab at our home in Wildomar. While driving by a neighbors home, there was some contractor activity. I stopped and got a card. A few weeks later, i stopped and spoke with the home owner to get their blush regarding the work that they had done. They were extremely happy and showed me their finished project. It was nice. I called the contractor (Haro Landscaping) to come out and give me a price. Dario came out to our home, took a look around, made a few measurements and told me that he would have a price to me within 24 hours. Note: I'm 63 / retired / 40 years of construction management / 20 years with and aerospace company and close to 20 with the County of San Bernardino. I'm well schooled in the trades. With that said: He did. Dario provided me with the quote the next day just like he promised. The price was reasonable for what i was asking. The next day I contacted him and gave him the green light to proceed. His first available date was about three weeks out (a good sign). We locked the date in. His crew showed up as scheduled an prepare the site and set the forms. They were clean, respectful and totally cleaned up after themselves. A few days later the finishing crew showed up as agreed and did an outstanding job. Again they were clean, respectful and totally cleaned up after themselves. The wife was even happy. Best of all, the final finish. Dario's crew may quite possibly be the best concrete finishers that i have ever encountered. They did an outstanding job A+++. Not one excuse and nobody asked to borrow any tools. Totally professional. By the way, this is the first review I have ever done. I normally don't believe in patting someone on the back for doing their job. That's what they're getting paid for; Right?
