That other dojo said "sure we'll sign him up but chances are he will have problems keeping up". My husband said "they are just being honest". But I knew I couldn't sign up my son there and ruin his first interest in something other than youtube and videogames. There had to better place for my boy and that's when I found PA Isshinryu Karate & Self Defense(40 minutes away from me).When I went to sign up my son, they asked me a bunch of questions about what my son could do and what he was afraid to do and then they said they would do private lessons (no extra fee) with him until he was ready to join the group.
