I had a wonderful experience with my instructor, Angie. She was really kind and had made it easy for me to drive. When there were mistakes, she'd point them out in a calm voice which made it less stressful for me. Although we were driving, we were still able to talk about our own lives and it was very fun. She took me on the route for the mock-test and I messed up on a two-way intersection thinking that it was a four and on my actual test, we went that same route and I was aware during the test so thanks Angie! I took my behind the wheel test today and passed at the first try! This wouldn't be possible without Angie and her crew at S Pass. I grew up in Asia and moved to the States when I barely started driving. I spent my young adult years relying on public transportation & Uber/Lyft so naturally, I'm a shitty driver. Prior to this I took driving lessons from a rival school. In between then I had to go back to Asia and had to put my classes on pause. Fast forward a year & a half later, I contacted the school again to resume classes only to find out my attendance was almost non-existent. This was after paying for ALL the classes (including the drive test) I was scouting for a new school and came across S Pass and Viva (called Viva 5 times and no one picked up) so I decided to go with S Pass instead and I'm so glad I did! I couldn't have gotten a more personable yet professional experience. Angie really pays attention to what you need to focus on and guides you on what to do. I have to give props to their office admins too! When I first called and explained my situation, Adriana explained that I didn't need to sign the package right away and I could take a 2 hr class to see how I feel and schedule my drive test accordingly. I ended up really loving the class and signed for the 10hr package + scheduled my drive test! Adriana helped me throughout the scheduling with dates, and she even with made my appointment at the DMV! All I had to do was pick a date, simple and easy. I'm not going to lie I wasn't 100% ready when I took my test since I had to reschedule one of my classes because of school. Angie showed up early & ready to roll. Guided me through everything I needed to work on. Next thing I knew the examinator handed me my passing paper! I also wanted to point out that after my whole shabang at the DMV, Angie had a lesson scheduled and she was going to be late. She called her student and asked if it's okay that I tagged along and she would drop me off. She was fine with it so I got to first-handedly witness Angie with another student. Safe to say the quality of Angie's teaching is very consistent. She doesn't care if you're a beginner, an expert, an intermediate, she will guide you in the best way she can so you can excel your test. Oh and also, she remembers EVERY. SINGLE. STUDENT. Living in Los Angeles, I can't emphasize enough the importance of learning how to drive. It took me a while because, to me, finding a good driving instructor is as important as the task at hand. That being, I was taken aback by the spectacular reviews I've seen on here and what I've experienced myself from the S. Pass Driving School. Before I go into the bad, I'd like to say that not all of my lessons were terrible. In fact, my primary instructor Michelle was awesome! She could be a model of professionalism -- she was always on time, greeted me with a firm handshake when we met, and had a very positive attitude about starting the day's lessons. I had never been behind the wheel before; needless to say, I was horrendous! But, through Michelle's instructions and patience, I felt comfortable on the road in no time. We went over a lot of the basic techniques and all that was necessary on the driving test. She showed me the test route and made sure I was aware of the various types of roads in the area. I felt so confident about my lessons that I decided to rent one of their vehicles for the test at the DMV. On the day of the exam, I had another instructor come pick me up. Let's just say, their teaching style was a tad crass -- we practically crammed on every technique in an hour (some of which came last minute). Among other aspects, their outlook seemed comparatively colder than Michelle's, whose usual attitude would have been quite helpful at the time. I was upset by their choice of conversational topics, which I found much too uninhibited and confessional for the professional setting of our drive. Conclusively, I especially did not appreciate having their lessons incessantly pitched to me before and after I failed my driving test amidst my anxiety. The day of the driving test could have been treated with more tact. I expected a lot more consistent positivity, patience, and informativeness from this school since the reviews here had been so overwhelmingly favorable. To be fair, this is just one of many options to learn and practice driving in the San Gabriel Valley. (Addendum): I had originally given them a much more scathing review, with one star [ * ]. I signed up for the 3 2-hour lesson package. I've had experience behind the wheel before, but I didn't have a license yet and had a lot of anxiety behind the idea of driving. Driving with Angie helped a lot for me to become familiar with the road by driving with someone who I knew could stop me at any time. She also answered any and all ridiculous questions I had about why I had to stop here or why I needed to look in the mirror there. I felt really safe with her! Speaking frankly, I don't think I would have passed the driving test without those lessons. She helped me brush up on a lot of techniques that are tested on the exam that I had no idea about. She really knows the exam backwards and forwards. On our last lesson, we even did a mock exam where she took me through the route at least once and then reviewed the parts I needed to brush up on. Lastly, her option was the most affordable for me. She's pretty flexible with how you pay, and has an option where you can pay in installments if you're unable to provide the full fee upfront. Overall, she's very accommodating, very knowledgable, and very friendly. Would definitely recommend her to others, and if I ever need driving lessons again, I know exactly where to look! read more

They also adjusted my dmv test to when I felt I was ready to take it. Angie makes you practice your mistakes and lets you know what you have to keep working on. The day of my test she took me to the exact route the dmv took me so I felt familiar with the road and felt confident in what I had to watch out for. *FIRST TIME PASSED* Ok so I was deathly afraid of driving like I wouldn't even touch the steering wheel. I looked up this driving school on Yelp and the price was cheaper than most of the other I looked up. The reviews were great and most suggested to have Angie as a instructor. So I had scheduled all my appointments with her. She made me feel confident and comfortable with driving. The first few lessons we made turns it seemed endless but it was worth doing all those monotonous turns because it gave me confidence to turn in bigger and busier streets. I could easily make a turn now. Of course I had to practice a lot after the lesson but that's how you get better. Angie it definitely the best. I can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to pass without her. She definitely is a blessing of driving instructor for me!! I was a first time nervous driver. Angie was very patient and never raised her voice when I messed up. If I was doing something wrong she would have remind me of the correct way to do things and have me practice again. She helped me with my hand positions, especially when turning. At first when I was told by my parents to choose a driving instructor/school to learn how to drive, I was unsure of which school to pick, some had bad reviews, but when I saw that S Pass had perfect reviews, I took a leap of faith and decided to enroll. Angie was really calm and informative on what points I needed to improve on. I failed my driving test 2 times because I was nervous on my first test that I forgot to yield to pedestrians and the 2nd time the examiner told me to keep going at a stop sign when I was stopped (examiner tricked me). 3rd time I passed at Glendale. Through it all, Angie knew that I was able to pass the test and that I just had to remind myself to not be nervous when taking a test. Once again, I really appreciate how Angie took her time and helped me to drive. 5 out of 5 stars, would enroll in S Pass again when I need to brush up on my driving skills. :P Thanks Angie and the S Pass Driving School! read more

I did my share of research prior to calling S Pass for my son. Of course I was a little skeptical about all the great reviews but out of the four places I called S Pass gave me detailed information without having to go through my entire list of questions. Although they are a little bit higher in price I was sold on the knowledge and how accommodating they were. Driving Class - Instructor: Dianna I was not sure how my son was going to communicate with the instructor because he is very shy. He came home after his first class pretty confident and shared with me his experience. By the sound if it, it went great! Dianna allowed him to take control of the car, guided him, and corrected some mistakes he made with respect and professionalism. My son had a positive experience and ultimately passed his driver's test all in one weeks time. He took two classes and he used S Pass' car for the test. He had minimal drive time with me prior to taking classes with S Pass. Pick-ups we're all on time. Classes took exactly the two hour duration we paid for and he was picked up an hour prior to the test as advised. WITHOUT A DOUBT I RECOMMEND S PASS. read more

Angie is an amazing instructor and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what he/she is talking about. She's extremely patient and knowledgeable. She knows all of the specific, small little things that the DMV is looking for to dock points off of your exam. She also teaches you all of the things you have to do to be a good driver. I've had my parents teach me driving in addition to her, but they don't know all of the small things that the DMV is looking for like she does. They also don't help me work on specific things like turns and looking left-right-left at a 4-way stop vs. continually scanning left and right on 2-way stops. Also, she's HILARIOUS. Passed my exam after 3 classes and a refresher the day of the test. Angie is a great instructor. I've had driving anxiety since I was a teen, and she has been the only instructor that makes me comfortable behind the wheel. She knows what she's doing. One of the things that I love about how she teaches is the fact that it doesn't always feel like teaching - I didn't realize how much just conversing and laughing would help me relax behind the wheel. And she doesn't bark orders, but she'll quickly tell you what you're doing wrong and how to improve. Going into the office, the assistant is professional, courteous, and easy-spoken. These qualities I find admirable.
