I was very pleasantly surprised when recently, I happened to mention a lack of satisfaction with the service received from a totally different stylist. She has true hospitality. She wants you to feel as comfortable as possible. As she was beginning her services, I was walked/talked through every step. She makes sure that you're aware of everything that's going on and comfortable. She talks to about her journey & life story as she is going. Before my appointment, I sent photos of my brows and asked if I could upgrade to nano brows. I was told I could pay the difference, so I paid an additional $70 specifically for nano. At the appointment, I was then told I needed to pay another $100 for "density" because my brows were sparse. This was not disclosed in the Groupon listing, nor was it explained ahead of time despite her seeing photos in advance. The procedure lasted approximately 15 minutes and was extremely painful. When I mentioned the pain, I was told it was normal for sparse brows. Afterward, I was told that although the Groupon states a touch-up is included, I would need to pay $165 for a two week follow up. That was presented as a "discounted" rate. Later, when I asked for clarification, she confirmed she switched to a handheld blade. Nano brows are performed using a machine. A handheld blade is microblading. In other words, nano technique was not performed despite me paying the $70 upgrade for nano. I requested a refund of the nano upgrade fee since that service was not provided. She refused. To be clear: I do like the overall shape of my brows. They are even. However, some of the strokes are noticeable and uniform rather than softly layered almost like my regular brow was just outlined. What concerns me most is the pattern: * Low promotional pricing * Additional required charges introduced at the appointment * Technique change not disclosed before beginning * Included touch-up excluded * No refund when the upgraded technique was not used If you are considering booking (which you shouldn't) I strongly recommend getting everything in writing beforehand, asking exactly what technique will be used, confirming whether density is included, and clarifying when touch-ups are scheduled. I left feeling uncomfortable with how the pricing and technique were handled. The entire situation was unprofessional and felt like I was just being taken advantage of for not knowing the difference.
