    Shrimp pita and Jerusalem salad

Saba's is a wonderful family-owned Mediterranean restaurant located in a shopping center near Tatum and Bell in Phoenix. They offer great service, a large menu with many customizable options, and huge portions. You won't leave hungry! The restaurant is long and narrow. When we visited on a Wednesday night, it was packed. We sat at the last available booth, near the back. There are a few seats outside as well, which is great when the weather isn't as hot. I always order the "create an entree." You can choose one, two, or three entrees plus two sides. You can make this vegetarian or non-vegetarian. I always choose one entree plus the two sides. It also comes with pita upon request. Any more than that, and I would have to take leftovers home. Another table ordered the flaming cheese, which sounded delicious. They have a few desserts as well but we were too full for dessert.

Not the best pic but delicious!

Love this place! Simple and delicious! So much food for the money! The 2 Hummus plate is huge, with no lack of pita bread. My Gyro was wonderful! The service is amazing! Can't go wrong with this place. If you visit once I'm sure you will return!

Amazing food! We ordered takeout but it still tasted fresh and really good size portions, they definitely don't skimp, my falafel pita had 4 huge pieces!! Definitely recommend if you are looking for mediterranean close by.

Grabbed a quick lunch here on the weekend shortly after they opened in the morning. Everyone was really friendly and the service was great. I got the sleepy gyro salad and was advised that the regular is plenty big. They were right. The large would have been way too much for one person, I feel like. The flavor was good but it was a little hard to mix.

Great mediterranean restaurant off of the 51 and Bell Road. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pricing is fair and affordable. The staff were phenomenal, we received quick and friendly service. The food came out at a great pace and everything was hot. The food was fantastic. We got Saganaki (OPA!), it was delicious and the tableside fire lighting was a fun experience! The Saganaki comes with lemon and with pita. We also got the Spicy Feta Fries, the fries were spicy but balanced out well with the feta and ranch. We got the basket and it was more than enough for 3 people as an appetizer. I also got the Chicago style gyros and added feta. It was the best gyros I have found in Arizona, and I wanted to go back the next day to get another one! My visit to Saba's Mediterranean Kitchen was memorable and I would 100% recommend that everyone check them out!!!

Everything about this place is phenomenal...The food, rhe spices, the environment and wait staff are all top notch. We Had the lemon shrimp and Falafel plates plus the hummus and baba ghanoush and tourism salad are as authentic as you can get AJ was our server and was super personable and kind. The service is exemplary and i LOVE. That this place is close to my dad's house, every time I come into town I try to eat here because of that good. THANK YOU

I got the chicken pita during lunch and loved it! Not from around here and a friend recommended it, did not disappoint. Well priced and the option to add on a side if you would like to have one. I don't eat too much and appreciated the option to add on more if I would like to instead of just ending up with too much food. Service was very attentive even though it was a busy lunch.

Saba's Mediterranean Kitchen is family owned restaurant, known for its fresh, flavorful, and affordable Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, including gyros, shawarma, and falafel. It offers a casual, welcoming atmosphere with colorful decor and is praised for its friendly service. I got the hummus with chicken and of course it came with pita bread!!!

    Gyro beef and chicken schwarma
    Bri M.

Picked up food to take to hotel. Got the "build your own entrée" with chicken schwarma and gyro beef and two sides of hummus. The meat portion was very generous, but we were disappointed to have only one, dry pita for the whole meal. Flavor on meat was fantastic, but the hummus and single pita were disappointing.

Small Greek Salad Obviously nothing small about it and delicious

As soon as I walked into the restaurant, there was a sweet lady that welcomed me in and took my take out order. She was nice and knows her stuff. I ordered a house gyro and she knew right away it would be done quickly. While I waited, I took some pictures and videos of the place which seems super family oriented. If I had the time, I would have dined in. They have a lot of great options on their menu that I intend on coming back to try. The energy in this place was amazing . I just truly felt welcomed and taken care of although I had only been there for maybe 5-6 minutes. Now let's get to my food. I am not gonna lie , but I think I gobbled my gyro down in like 3 minutes. It was the best gyro I've had in a long time and I basically inhaled it. It was soooo good. I was hungry but that gyro exceeded my expectations and I am happy for that. I plan on going back with my family to dine in. Great experience, great service , and great food! Definitely recommend !

Every detail you notice is extravagant and purposeful. Visiting on a Saturday for lunch, there were plenty of other families eating together too. I noticed the crowd was mostly older, which lets you know this restaurant is a true staple in the community (I find that usually the old people know what's up). As all 4 of us weren't super hungry, we split the Persian Room Special- Combination of barg (Filet mignon), chicken filet and Koobideh kebab, served with basmati rice and grilled tomato. It was a huge portion of food, served on a large silver platter. The menu states that it serves 2, but it perfectly filled us 4 adults! Granted, we weren't super hungry to begin with, but 2 is definitely an underestimate. I'd say it can easily satisfy 3 hungry adults. Anyway, quantity aside, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and paired well together. The meat was also juicy. My favorite was the koobideh kebab for sure. There isn't much more I can say, as the food speaks for itself. The Persian Room is definitely something you need to try for yourself. Weeks later, I'm still craving it and will definitely be back!

I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value. I was browsing Uber Eats for Mediterranean food when I found Golden and realized they had something that looks an awful lot like Khachapuri (here it's on the menu as Aldo). So I abandoned my plans of delivery food and promptly made my way in to eat. We got a solid sampling of the menu: - hummus/foul - Aldo with cheese and an over easy egg (I think their default may be scrambled but they do over easy if you ask!) - stuffed grape leaves - labani + black olive flatbread - kufta with tomato sauce - shawarma chicken wrap Lord above, my heart was so happy. The foul is exceptionally garlicky. Perfectly so. My partner said the hummus was his favorite thing we ordered, and he's a pretty discerning dude! The Aldo was excellent. The grape leaves came out hot, which surprised me, but again - solid! Flatbread? Stellar. Maybe even better the next day. The kufta didn't particularly excite me, but I wasn't the one who ordered it, and my partner was happy. My shawarma wrap? Oh boy, that garlic sauce. They even perfectly portion the innards so your pickles aren't all stuck to one side and the fries to the other. You can have pickles in almost every bite! We also got several desserts to take home. I haven't sampled them yet, but the hazelnut baklava in particular intrigues me. Casual ambiance. Options for booths or tables, inside or outside.
