Came here for my friends birthday and it was a great experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They put us in the private room so all of us can fit together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very kind and helpful with directing us to our food and drinks. The goddess of dips was an amazing starter! We were able to try all the different dips with different breads! They were all so delicious but the whipped ricotta was my favorite! They do charge for refilling the bread just a heads up! We also got the fries and they were okay, definitely would pass on them next time but I enjoyed trying them. We also go the skirt steak which was delicious and the steak kabob! Everything tasted delicious! Especially the potatoes that came with it!! Definitely will come back!

This is one of my favorite spots in the area! Their espresso martinis are the best in the valley. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views and vibes are amazing! Being able to look at camelback with unobstructed views is a huge plus![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came here for drinks and appetizers. The whipped ricotta and pita chips are amazing and delicious. The Greek fries were a perfect combo of crunchiness topped with feta. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Dinner at Thea was a whole experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Joseph, who might genuinely be the best server I've had all year. Attentive, warm, and effortlessly on top of everything, he set the tone for the night in the best way. I ordered the Grilled Skirt Steak, and while it was cooked well, the dish itself didn't really stand out. The flavors were fine, just not as memorable as I hoped for a signature entrée. On the flip side, the fried calamari was a total win, perfectly cooked, lightly crisp, and seasoned with a flavor that made it hard to stop reaching for more. Dessert ended things on a high note. The lemon olive oil cake with lemon curd and raspberry compote was bright, balanced, and absolutely delicious. The kind of dessert that makes you slow down and savor every bite. Overall, Thea delivered a lovely evening with standout service, great starters, and a dessert worth coming back for. With a little more spark in the main dish, this would've easily been a 5‑stars from me.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a lovely place. A rooftop restaurant can't be beat. The views are refreshingly lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is warm with appealing earth tones. You definitely get the Mediterranean vibe throughout the restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The servers were so awesome. Considerate and helpful. Checking in often without it being overwhelming. Joseph was the best. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer, Truffle Filet skewer as my entree, and olive oil cake for dessert. I loved the calamari and olive oil cake. The calamari was cooked perfectly with a light batter. My only qualm was they were not hot. The olive oil cake with the raspberry compote was so so good. I don't think I ever had whipped labneh before this, but it was amazing. The sweetness was well balanced which left my tastebuds happy. I could eat this all day every day. The entree was ok. One steak skewer and a cup of rice with a shishito pepper garnish. I'll be back for appetizers and dessert.

I checked out thea for my birthday dinner on a Sunday. Located on the rooftop of the Global Ambassador Hotel, this Mediterranean restaurant was quite the experience. Parking is valet only, but since I'm not about that life, I found some parking on the street in a residential neighborhood five minutes away on foot. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely one of the areas in which thea shines. While they have both an indoor and outdoor area, I highly recommend sitting outside on the rooftop. If you do, you'll experience scenic views of the mountains in the background. If you can catch a sunset here, even better. Outside of the views, the restaurant has the fresh decor you would expect from a Mediterranean/Greek restaurant. There's also an outdoor area, and an indoor bar area, if you're just looking for drinks. Service (5/5): Attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Exactly what I was hoping for, especially on my birthday. They were kind enough to hook me up with a dessert for my special day. Much appreciated! Drinks (4.5/5): A full bar with a nice wine list and an interesting cocktail menu. I split a bottle of wine with my parents, but also started off with a refreshing cocktail. Food (5/5): I started off with the flaming saganaki because how can you say no to cheese flambeed table side. Dinner with a little entertainment. If you've never had saganaki cheese, it's a delicious Greek cheese. Pair it with some pita bread and you have yourself a delicious app. From there, I had the grilled skirt steak with crushed potatoes. Naturally, I ordered my steak medium rare. The skirt steak was sliced and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were well seasoned and paired nicely with the steak. All in all, a perfect meal. My parents similarly had great things to say about their selections. Thea isn't cheap. And it does have the see and be seen type of vibe which I'm not a big fan of. Yet, despite all of that, it's an excellent dining experience all-around. While it's more of a special occasion type of spot in my book, I'm definitely looking forward to stopping by again sometime!

Went here for my birthday! The staff was so nice, friendly and very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the interior so much natural lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the skirt steak was so tender. I the calamari was perfect, not too much breading and the sauce paired perfectly with it. The drinks were refreshing and not too sweet.

I returned and Thea showed up this time . Thank you to Mark the manager for making sure we were treated right to celebrate our parties big moment this is what I was expecting the first time I came in and they didn't disappoint. We had two different dips, the calamari , 2 drinks and the branzino. The food here is always good everything is so yummy but what excelled this time around was the service . Our server ( can't remember his name but had face tattoos ) he checked in on us, made sure we were ok but wasn't over bearing , he was so great and friendly . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was nice we went at 6pm on a Friday and it def was very busy so def get a reservation but the lighting and view is very nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . At first I wasn't Impressed but now Thea showed me the kind of experience they are capable of thank you to all the staff and management 10/10

Such an enjoyable afternoon. Came here on my husband birthday to have some cocktails and appetizers with a Mountain View. We didn't have a reservation but they allowed us to have a few cocktails on the patio, as long as we were up before their 5:30pm reservation. On this occasion, we had the Calamari, Muhammara and Manti Dumplings. The Calamari and Dumplings were great. I would pass on the Muhammara. Would have loved to dine here so next time will make a reservation. The views, quality of drinks and most of the service was impressive and impeccable. Down to the uniforms, this place is high on impressions and they made a good one. Appreciate the special care they put into making my husband Birthday Happy Hour special!!! Tips, no Happy Hour and reservations are highly recommended. Valet at the Global is cheaper than the self-serve parking lot.

Made a reservation for Friday for 3 people the Sunday prior. The only available times were either 4:15pm or 8:30pm. We went with 4:15pm. It was not super busy when we arrived. We were seated outside and they had misters on full blast to help mitigate the heat. The views at Thea are spectacular. From one side you can see downtown Phoenix, and from the other you can see Camelback Mountain. Our server took our drink order quickly, but it took a significant amount of time for our drinks to actually arrive. I ordered the Peach Bisous, which is a mocktail. I have had it before here, and it is a favorite of mine. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food menu, which was great. We ordered the Baba Ghanoush as a shared plate to start. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. After we finished the pita bread it came with, we asked our server for more. This second portion did not arrive until after we finished our entrees. As my entree, I ordered the Crispy Falafel and Sumac Yams. This took about 20 minutes to arrive. Overall, the Falafel was good. It came with a spicy dollop on top which I asked my server to put on the side (that did not happen despite me being incredibly clear I did not want anything spicy on the dish). The Yams were delicious. It took me by surprise how good they were. One annoying thing was how often we had servers and busboys trying to take our plates before we had finished everything. It happened multiple times throughout the course of our meal and made us feel like we were being rushed. Overall, service was decent. The speed of service was below average, which was ironic given the fact that we felt they were trying to rush us. The food was above average, and the views are spectacular.

I finally made it to Thea and it did not disappoint. The views are absolutely gorgeous with camelback mountain as the backdrop. We enjoyed the calamari, salmon and shrimp dish. Our server Ryan was very sweet and did a great job. Great food, atmosphere and people watching. Make a reservation.

This place is big and busy, but they delivered on all levels. Energetic atmosphere. Service on point. Started out with the whipped ricotta and zucchini chips. The Branzino was fantastic. Nice portion and very tasty sauce. Spouse had the chicken skewer which she greatly enjoyed. Finished off with the lemon oil cake. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other things.

Last minute decision to go to Global Ambassador and so glad we did! I had only been once before during a calm weekday happy hour so this was a completely different vibe. This time it was packed with security at the door and a full reservation line. We didn't have a reservation but were able to grab a high top by the indoor bar. Layla was our waitress and she was fantastic and very attentive even with how busy it was. We were there from about 9 to 1130 and it definitely felt like the place to be. The food and service were both great despite how crowded it was. Highly recommend the spicy tuna roll, beef dumplings, and chicken kebab. The rice with the kebab was especially flavorful. Would definitely come back!

Do they take walk ins? how long is the wait on saturdays?

They do take walk-ins. On a normal Saturday you would have a wait. But as the weather gets warmer and it becomes the season, the weight time will get significantly shorter.

    Are children allowed?

    Yes

What happens if you have an outdoor reservation, but it's raining?

They text you to inform you you can move to indoor if available. I used the reservation app to switch to indoors to secure a table.

If we came in for an early dinner and drinks after a hike would we be out of place?

Yes, I think that may be too casual.

    Is there complimentary valet parking?

No, it's $10. Just at their earlier this week and that was the price.

Are you allowed to bring in outside cakes and will they help bring out the cake during dessert time?

    yes

Do you need a reservation to get a drink at the bar?

No and they have two bars to hang out at, inside and outside.

    What is the dress code?

The dress code at thea is technically smart casual at minumum, but most people you'll see anywhere in The Global Ambassador Hotel (where thea is located) are dressed up a bit more than that. Kind of a place to see and be seen... but there's… Read more
