What led us to Green Corner back in the dark times of early 2020 when most didnt want to enter and eat in a restaurant.. was the level of cleanliness and care they took to ensure customers felt comfortable eating during that time frame. But sadly for us, we didn't live anywhere near their original location. So imagine our joy when this location opened a few years later. (And more locations are soon to be open) Staff: every visit to Green Corner and the interactions with staff has been impressive. They are so friendly, talkative, happy and will take you through the menu if it's your first time or repeated trip and want to try something new. I can only image they treat their employees well for everyone to be this pleasant. Food: always amazing, always correct when omitting ingredients for allergies. Massive selection of usual Mediterranean dishes and some great great unique choices. Their lamb is incredible, chops are fantastic but a slightly longer wait to cook; definitely worth the wait. Choices are as massive as their servings. And you can get all the protein choices in plates, bowls, salads or on the side for when you are really hungry. Catering: Nearly every visit we see the staff gathering large container of food for Catering. This never seems to slow down service. Last visit we saw a member of staff counting the food inside the plastic domes to ensure the Catering order was complete. Order food, get a number stand and sit back and wait (not long) for delivery to your table. I'll add here that each time the food is delivered, its with a smile and well wishes. The food and portions are fantastic, they turn hummus into an artwork, they really take pride in their food. My favorite us the Green Corner Mixed grill, I was asked how I would like the meat cooked. The chicken was dry and salty. The beef was the best part and was cooked nicely, but there were too many fatty pieces. Rice was plain and overcooked (many hard pieces). Thought I would give it another try but what a mistake. The Gyro meat had pieces of ground up bone in it. I almost broke a tooth, biting down on the numerous pieces of a hard substance in the meat that I can only assume after looking at it is a piece of bone. Absolutely disgusting. Was back in Scottsdale visiting family and found Green Corner using trusty Yelp. Went in around 130 on a Friday and they were SLAMMED. Every seat taken and a line. I ordered a gyro and a Greek salad to go. Waited about 10 minutes which to me isn't terrible especially with how busy they were but might be long for some. However, someone working hard to clean tables as they turned noticed me waiting and hustled to get my order out and together for me. He was particularly hard working and kind. Much appreciated! The Greek fries were loaded in flavor, nice and crisp, wasn't soggy at all even with the lemon sauce. This was hands down my favorite item that we tried. The chicken kabab was okay, the meat was a little dry for our preferences. The hummus and salad were standard. Sadly, half of the accompanying pita bread was hard. The lamb chops were good; however, I would recommend getting this more for to go to enjoy comfortably at home than for dine in since it can be messy and difficult to eat with the provided plastic cutlery. One thing I really liked about this place was that their portion sizes were quite generous for their prices. Overall, we enjoyed our food for what it was. Just got our doordash order of the beef shwarma wrap and the chicken kabob. Ive been a chef for 25 years and run a restaurant. I would never ever send food out like this. Ive never had a problem in the past, but the price of this and the quanity and quality is the worst I've ever seen from them. Uber eats didnt help and now we just wasted $35 for a terrible meal. The beef shwarma was a third of the size it normally is (you can see in the pictures) and kabob plate was less than 2 kabobs and so burnt its inedible. I recommend this place to everyone, and if this is how they are going to run their restaurant, i dont want to be the person who recommended this to anybody. Shame on you guys.
