Stopped in about three weeks ago. This was after a 1 year absence when I used to go often. I Was quite disappointed compared to what I remembered. My friend order the chicken....I've never seen or tasted drier chicken....we jokingly called it Chicken Chips. Should have returned it but didn't. They must have known as they were plating? Ate very little.... I ordered the lamb kabob....it was ok but pretty bland, looked like processed little meat balls. . Service was good and friendly, no owner on site. In past visits I loved their Asobuco but none was on the menu. That's what I wanted to order. There was free baklava ....wasn't looking for free....went up to the counter to order some. Then was given two out of a bunch of stacked containers behind the register. If I hadn't inquired wouldn't have known. In past visits they always walked around with a tray and offered. This was dry as well..... I do appreciate free but not dry. I was willing to pay. I probably caught them on an off night, business was good which is always a good sign. The food here is really good and reasonably priced. Sandwiches are under $10. The gyro and falafel sandwich are delicious and have good flavor. We also got a gyro bowl which is over $10 but quite large and filling. The baba ganoush is tasty. They serve it with plenty of pita bread. They also give free baklava for each person, and it is very delicious. The restaurant is a cafe type but has plenty of tables. You order at the counter and sit, and they bring you the order. What led us to Green Corner back in the dark times of early 2020 when most didnt want to enter and eat in a restaurant.. was the level of cleanliness and care they took to ensure customers felt comfortable eating during that time frame. But sadly for us, we didn't live anywhere near their original location. So imagine our joy when this location opened a few years later. (And more locations are soon to be open) Staff: every visit to Green Corner and the interactions with staff has been impressive. They are so friendly, talkative, happy and will take you through the menu if it's your first time or repeated trip and want to try something new. I can only image they treat their employees well for everyone to be this pleasant. Food: always amazing, always correct when omitting ingredients for allergies. Massive selection of usual Mediterranean dishes and some great great unique choices. Their lamb is incredible, chops are fantastic but a slightly longer wait to cook; definitely worth the wait. Choices are as massive as their servings. And you can get all the protein choices in plates, bowls, salads or on the side for when you are really hungry. Catering: Nearly every visit we see the staff gathering large container of food for Catering. This never seems to slow down service. Last visit we saw a member of staff counting the food inside the plastic domes to ensure the Catering order was complete. Order food, get a number stand and sit back and wait (not long) for delivery to your table. I'll add here that each time the food is delivered, its with a smile and well wishes. The food and portions are fantastic, they turn hummus into an artwork, they really take pride in their food. My favorite us the Green Corner Mixed grill, I was asked how I would like the meat cooked. Never been asked that before, so I said how do you like it...medium which was extremely tasty... as I am one of those who usually like meat well done. Three Strikes, you're out ! Heard good things about this restaurant.. can't say the food is terrible, but the preparation is inconsistent and orders prepared incorrectly, and after 3 times, i am out and looking for an alternative restaurant. 1st time, ordered LARGE greek salad with side of gyro. Gyro was tasty, but the olives and feta cheese were rather non existent in this large container of greek salad. ok. 2nd time ordered the lamb chops, with fries, greek salad dressing on the side. When i got home, no fries, and salad was already dressed even tho they gave it to me on the side as well. The order paper clearly said dressing on the side, and french fries. But that was not what was given to me and i did not unpack it until i got home with soggy salad and no fries. 3rd time i returned for the Lambchop plate again, and the lamb chops were rather dog seared and not luscious and sumptuous like the first time, these looked considerably reduced. Also ordered the same LARGE greek salad, and mentioned that the olives and Feta were so scarce last time, she made a note for the olives and Feta, and was not until later i realized she charged me for olives and Feta cheese, like they were not included.. and when i got the package home, the LARGE greek salad was considerably smaller than the one i ordered before, in a smaller container as well, and while it did have olives and Feta, the tomatoes and red onions were extremely scarce now, but the dressing was on the side. Before with the large greek salad i got 2 dressing on the side, this time only one and the size of the serving as well as hte container were considerably smaller. So, three times i struck out at this nice family run restaurant, no matter how good the food was, not happy with the inconsistency with preparation and sizing. read more

This place is no frills, but the food, service and price point make it one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Expensive food with a huge lack in quality. We split a Mixed Shawarma Plate and had high hopes since it looked amazing. The hummus was in a pretty leaf shape, but it had zero flavor. The chicken was dry and salty. The beef was the best part and was cooked nicely, but there were too many fatty pieces. Rice was plain and overcooked (many hard pieces). I love Mediterranean food, and I was skeptical at first, but this place did not disappoint There was plenty of parking, bright signage, plenty of indoor seating. We were greeted as we entered. They have Mediterranean favorites like gyros, shawarma, kababs, falafel, grape leaves, etc etc etc The staff were efficient and friendly. They were communicative if something might take several minutes. They were honestly a Pleasure to interact with. I was very impressed. Surprised I haven't left a review yet. I love gyro and Middle Eastern food! Green corner has been a favorite for a while now. Big fan of the kibbeh and the beef al sham wraps. The Greek fries are money!! This place is consistent in not just the food, but the service. Everyone is so nice. We've been coming here for the past year and it has been consistently a great place to grab a quick, delicious and healthy meal. One son is vegetarian and the other is allergic to all tree nuts, peanuts, seafood, fish, etc. Finding a restaurant suitable for us as a family has many difficulties. Happy to find this close to home restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had Gyro pita and my husband did the Gyro platter with the French Fry option. My allergic son had the Chicken Shawarma platter with the rice and my veggie son had the Stuffed Grape Leaves. We were all happy with our meals. The portions were very large and we took a few boxes home with us. This is a casual family restaurant and it was a bit noisy but not unexpected. Was back in Scottsdale visiting family and found Green Corner using trusty Yelp. Went in around 130 on a Friday and they were SLAMMED. Every seat taken and a line. I ordered a gyro and a Greek salad to go. Waited about 10 minutes which to me isn't terrible especially with how busy they were but might be long for some. However, someone working hard to clean tables as they turned noticed me waiting and hustled to get my order out and together for me. He was particularly hard working and kind. Much appreciated! The gyro itself was almost 5 stars. Like...SO close. Omg it was HUGE! I have eaten a lot of gyros at a lot of places and I can tell you this is the only place that doesn't skimp on the extras. Not only a ton of meat...but tons of everything! It was SO good and so filling. I easily could have eaten just half. But of course that's not how I roll so I ate the whole thing. I was too full to eat the salad, though. Had the salad the next day and it was still incredibly fresh. Again, good portion and good amount of ingredients. After looking over the menu, we ordered the Greek fries to share, and for our main entrees we got the chicken kabab, and the lamb chops with rice and salad as the sides. The Greek fries were loaded in flavor, nice and crisp, wasn't soggy at all even with the lemon sauce. This was hands down my favorite item that we tried. The chicken kabab was okay, the meat was a little dry for our preferences. The hummus and salad were standard. Sadly, half of the accompanying pita bread was hard. The lamb chops were good; however, I would recommend getting this more for to go to enjoy comfortably at home than for dine in since it can be messy and difficult to eat with the provided plastic cutlery. One thing I really liked about this place was that their portion sizes were quite generous for their prices. Overall, we enjoyed our food for what it was.
