If you want the BEST falafel in the Valley, this is your Spot!!! Unlike most, theirs are moist, have the perfect texture, and the best flavor. And the guys who run the place are the nicest people. Enjoy!

The food here is excellent. Lately I've had cravings for their food which is unfortunate for me because they're closed a bit more often during this time of year to observe holidays. I'll just have to go more often when they're back to a more regular schedule. I'd recommend calling first to make sure they're open. Pros 1. Really flavorful and fresh food 2. The guys who work here (own the place) are all very nice and treat customers well 3. Parking is super easy 4. Portions are fairly large 5. You get high quality and a large amount of food for the price Cons 1. Odd business days/hours

Falafel is not easy to get right, either too soft, too dry, no flavor, my spot got it Goldilocks just right! The owners are so kind and welcoming, suggesting and describing all there offerings with patience and zest. Highly recommend!!!

Got the chicken salad and falafel wrap with fries. Food is generally tasty and well seasoned. Fries were super oily but not crispy, perhaps that is the Mediterranean style. Food is quite expensive - the chicken salad was $20 and the wrap (a little dry) was $15. Service was kind and someone checked on us regularly. Inside is pretty cold, great for a hot summer day. We went I think during a holiday season so families were dining that evening - nice to see.

I love Mediterranean food and tried My spot a few days ago. I was greeted with a smile and very friendly service! I picked up hummus with pita & another portion of hummus with falafel and lafa. Falafel was the best I've had in years - perfectly cooked - moist and flavorful! Hummus was delicious and pita and lafa were delucious and hot! Will definitely be back to try shwarma and other meats on the menu!

My Spot Mediterranean Grill is a very CASUAL Kosher Israeli style restaurant located in north Phoenix in the same spot as Cafe Chenar used to be. The restaurant offers things like shawarma, schnitzel, skewers, falafels, salads, platters and burgers. Prices do run higher because kosher meat cost twice as much as non kosher meats. Kosher beef is only the front part of the cow and the rest is sold to others. This is an extra casual restaurant. You order and pay at the counter and grab your silverware yourself and seat yourself. We tried a variety of things. We started out with the hummus and falafels. The hummus is good and creamy and taste like it was made with toasted cumin. The falafels did have crisp exteriors and are moist and herby inside. This also came with choice of bread and I picked the pitas. The pitas are VERY GOOD......Maybe among the best you can get anywhere. They are fresh made and fluffy. I tried the beef lola on laffa bread that comes with fries......THIS WAS FIVE STARS DELICIOUS...........THE FLAVORS ROCK on this one and it was spicy too!. Get it with everything it comes with. Trust me. This is really great and you will understand the difference between kosher beef and regular ground beef. They taste different. Kosher beef has this clean beefy taste and it was very moist and very flavorful. This one is also large like a BIG BURRITO......For some people this might be two meals. My husband tried the spicy chicken schnitzel platter. It came with fries and Israeli salad. The chicken was moist and nicely seasoned. It was breaded and fried but didn't seem oily. Fries are very average. You have vinegar on the table to season them. Israeli salad needed vinegar too. Remember this is a kosher restaurant so that means they don't mix meat and dairy. That means if you order a burger it will be cooked well done and cheese isn't an option.

This was dry as well..... I do appreciate free but not dry. I was willing to pay. I probably caught them on an off night, business was good which is always a good sign. I'll give them another shot but won't order the Chicken Chips.

Everything was very good, and the sauce on the pizza was especially excellent. Service was good -- not great, but good. The DJ actually added some nice ambience to the place and gave the restaurant a good vibe. Now here's my problem. This is a BIG restaurant. I'm not talking about some tiny little neighborhood place where they have to squeeze every table into every corner. Yet somehow, they sat the four of us right next to the server computer station, where the staff is constantly coming and going, punching in checks, picking things up, walking back and forth -- the whole time you're trying to eat dinner. And to make it worse, that table is close to the front door. This is Arizona. Every time that door opens, you get a blast of heat. I can only imagine in colder weather you'd get the opposite problem. I've been around restaurants a long time, and some tables just shouldn't be tables. That's one of them. I understand nobody wants to give up a four-top, but in a restaurant that size, come on. Move the table or get rid of it. The guest experience should be worth more than squeezing in four extra seats. The food absolutely deserves a return visit. Just do yourself a favor if they try to seat you by that computer station near the front door, ask for another table.

Every detail you notice is extravagant and purposeful. Visiting on a Saturday for lunch, there were plenty of other families eating together too. I noticed the crowd was mostly older, which lets you know this restaurant is a true staple in the community (I find that usually the old people know what's up). As all 4 of us weren't super hungry, we split the Persian Room Special- Combination of barg (Filet mignon), chicken filet and Koobideh kebab, served with basmati rice and grilled tomato. It was a huge portion of food, served on a large silver platter. The menu states that it serves 2, but it perfectly filled us 4 adults! Granted, we weren't super hungry to begin with, but 2 is definitely an underestimate. I'd say it can easily satisfy 3 hungry adults. Anyway, quantity aside, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and paired well together. The meat was also juicy. My favorite was the koobideh kebab for sure. There isn't much more I can say, as the food speaks for itself. The Persian Room is definitely something you need to try for yourself. Weeks later, I'm still craving it and will definitely be back!

I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value.
