The food is so good I'd eat there every day if I could. Their Rasta pasta is addictive!

The fried fish smelled like ammonia! If they're cooking & serving obviously spoiled fish, I don't trust anything from their kitchen.

There were several young folks hanging out in front of the place, most ordering those cool looking shake drinks. I was greeted by staff after entering and trying to decide what I wanted for food. They also offer hot foods ready to serve & eat such as stewed chicken, pepper steak, rice, beans, and veggies. They accept cash, but no credit cards (Venmo and Apple Pay accepted). I noticed they offer small and large size dinners and I decided on a small dinner since the large size was huge. I chose Pepper Steak with white rice and beans, which came out to $7 total, nicely packed good into a cleared plastic sandwich size box. The food was really good with very tender pieces of stewed seasoned beef steak with potatoes, soft white rice and red beans. The small size was definitely just enough food to be full.

The home cooked meals are amazing. Selection is good. Meat falls off bone. Good portion size, decent price. Parking is great considering it's Troy. Def worth a visit (at least once a week!). Super glad they opened.

My interest peaked recently when a new sign was placed outside the store, which read something to the effect, "We now have breakfast." Yesterday, I was busy running errands in East Greenbush. The goal was to get to the juice bar for breakfast but by the time I was done with errands it was 2pm. I decided to visit anyway. Inside, it's clean and cheerful looking with bright yellow walls. It has the look of a luncheonette with food on display behind the counters with glass dividers. It looked as though lunch was winding down. There was one man still seated at a table finishing his meal. Diners had their choice of a variety Ecuadorian chicken dishes as well as beef stew and roast pork. It looked as though they'd served up a great deal of pork at lunchtime but there was still some left. So I asked for pork with yellow rice and beans. I asked to try both the black and the pink beans. The young woman who served the food gave me huge portions. The cost came out to $15.12 but I knew I would be eating this large meal for days. When I brought my takeout order home, it smelled great. It tasted even better. It was a hearty and delicious meal. I managed to eat about half and was very full. I saved the rest for the next days lunch. Next time, I'd like to try a chicken dish. I hope that one of these days I'll get started early enough to actually show up for breakfast as I intended.

No timeframe but the mom and pop who are well into their 70's are moving back to Ecuador and closing shop. Till this day this place does not disappoint. Service is top notch and the genuine Ecuadorian decorations will be missed. Lunch and dinner meals still cost $13 and you get a lot for what you pay. If you haven't tired them I can't highly recommend them enough.
