if there was a 10/5 i would put that. service, speed, time, blah blah blah was excellent. indoor…read moreand outdoor seating was awesome, tho picked indoor since it was cooler inside. tabletops have cool patterns on most of them. staff wasn't uptight like some restaurants. this is the thing that makes it that good. the prices were also very accurate/reasonable, whatever you want to say, and the menu had a lot of variety. add more kanye west, yo school spirit is probably the best song on the college dropout album please never become a corporate restaurant

3 stars, average overall in my opinion, but go for it…read more came in for lunch during a zillion degree day, no one else inside but one other table. quick service, no issues there thankfully, but i am a bit salty of getting a side of fries and not knowing it was an extra change. yes, its on the menu, but asked if i wanted them when they were, i felt a little jilted (maybe say, add on a side of fries??idk) food wise, it was fine, burger was cooked actually sort of at the requested temperature, which isnt an automatic when i go out, so plus on that. it was very expensive when it was all said and done for what it was, 22 bucks tax/tip (basic cheeseburger, no drinks) which for that is way too much in my opinion. beer selection is extensive if thats your thing too. parking is downtown, good luck with that, but when we went it wasnt an issue, night time madness, well good luck again. this is totally a nostalgic revival type of place at my age and i never went in the days of yore (kept to uptown bars) so keep that in mind when reviewing my review.

Awesome local tavern with friendly staff and delicious eats!…read more I stopped in on a weekday for lunch and was immediately greeted by the bartender who was also the waitress for the whole place. Despite her being the only person up front, she warmly welcomed everyone and the service was great. I met a friend of mine who was craving wings so she ordered some hot wings and I got the Turkey Brie sandwich, which had turkey, brie cheese, apples and cranberry mayo on ciabatta bread with a side salad. The sandwich was delicious and piled high with turkey. My friend loved her wings too. Overall, the food was great as was the service. Definitely recommend!

I ordered this as takeout and just had to take a couple of bites in the car before going home to try it nice and warm. This kind of sandwich is hard to find. A special roll needs to be used for this called a kimmelweck roll. A kimmelweck (or kummelweck) roll is a crunchy, Kaiser-type bread roll topped with coarse salt and aromatic caraway seeds, primarily known for defining the Buffalo, New York, "beef on weck" sandwich. Originating from 19th-century German immigrant traditions, they are usually filled with roast beef and soaked in au jus. The sandwich was loaded with juicy flavorful roast beef. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good. It was served with tasty fries and two little cups of au jus. I would definitely order this again.

Got food from this location 11 years ago when I was a patient at Albany Med, as we all know…read moreHospital food stinks. Was out in Albany for a procedure and after not eating since midnight the night before I was starving. This restaurant is conveniently located to the medical center (across the street) and can be accessed by using the breezeway/ bridges that connect outlying buildings to hospital without having to go out in the cold. This place is generally packed but was quiet when we went. The food is consistently good and this visit was no exception. What made the experience top notch was the wait staff that came by to make sure we had everything and that food was prepared to our liking. She was warm and friendly and truly was an asset to this restaurant. Recovery Room has specials each week and we were lucky to make it for the Burger special. Highly recommend to those close by or those visiting Albany Med.

It's convenient, nice big bar, and the bartenders gave me excellent attentive service every time I came in. "Taz" deserves special mention- a bartender with a kind and relaxed demeanor, makes a great tequila n soda with extra lime, and never made me wait for a refill.
