Communication was seamless the entire time; they always answered my calls and made me feel confident throughout the planning process. Before the big day, they did a full walkthrough of the venue and came fully prepared, setting up an outdoor kitchen to ensure everything ran smoothly and efficiently. This company seems very unorganized, My fiancée and I have been trying desperately to connect with this catering service for our wedding and the communication has been very lackluster. Multiple emails not responded too, scheduled a tasting event never heard anything till the day of if we would be able to reschedule. We were really excited due to the fact we loved the menu and the pricing, and wanted to taste the food, and could never get a response. Was told multiple times we would hear from them and never heard anything. The thing that really made us disappointed was we messaged asking if they would be able to speak to us so we can get the tasting finally in place and booked, if not that's totally fine but if they could let us know so we can look for a new catering service. They just liked the message not even one minute later and never responded. We had a 2021 winter wedding at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Despite the venues very strict requirements, this team pulled it together. I will always recommend Chef Bobby and his team for catered events. He really goes above and beyond. For example, we had no way of getting ice, but he was able to coordinate this as add it to our services. We had a plated seating & bartending for about 200 people. Our guests personally told us how much they loved their food. We had chicken and steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. We also had Sabor cater our late night tacos. These were an absolute hit and boy, did they go fast. Our guests were asking for more! We ran into a little hiccup at the end, not at the fault of Sabor, but they were able to help me out at the end. I found Chef Bobby's crew from Sabor on Yelp and hired them for my mother's life celebration at Rose Hills. I was so nervous and worried that something would go wrong. (Rose Hills has strict policies.). I was relieved they arrived punctually and setup quickly. But what really surprised me was their food. Absolutely delicious and authentic. And the enchiladas taste exactly like my mom's. Most all our guests raved about the food. They setup business cards at the end of the buffet table -- only one card remained at the end. Amazing experience, we did catering with Sabor for my father in laws 80th bday. I'll tell you one thing, Chef Bobby is an amazing Chef. He cooked Perian Cuisine, which isn't easy. Some of our guests joked saying if they would have ordered from Uber eats, they would have received their food faster! We were recommended to try Chef B's services in the beginning of quarantine. In our first encounter we ordered a family taco pack which was more than enough for 8 people and leftovers. We loved the flavors and to top it off Chef B is an amazing genuine person. His prices are very reasonable considering he is a small business. I always told him if he opened a restaurant we would definitely help him financially. After that we tried the Mother's Day menu which is another favorite. My boyfriend still craves his tequila infused chicken. Most recently, they served us with the most amazing wings and fries for our Graduation/Housewarming Party. Chef B's speciality is Asian Zing and make sure you order a lot because they go very fast. He even delivered it to us which was very kind of him. Chef B takes care of his clients and will never disappoint! My only feedback is their communication. Luckily we have Chef B's contact information and honestly I prefer to contact him directly. The woman who is responsible for their main line does not respond and it can be quite exhausting trying to reach them. I found Sabor on yelp. I was looking for someone who was a bit more than the average taco catering. They did not disappoint. First off the packages are awesome, you can add elotes which I gladly did. Everyone at the party loved them for appetizers. We also got a lot of compliments on the chicken. I personally skip chicken tacos due to lack of flavor for most caterers but WOW did they impress me! Contacted Sabor for a quote on a plated dinner event at our house. Robert was able to accommodate our wish to provide a beef, chicken or fish option for guests to choose from. The week of the party, Robert was outstanding in confirming our menu and serving details even making a site visit to coordinate work stations at our house. We booked Sabor catering for our wedding 6/19/21. We had the all inclusive taco bar. PROS: The food is very delicious! Everyone loved the food at our wedding + the pricing is reasonable. CONS: Communication with this business is beyond poor. We had to send several follow up emails/calls anytime we needed to get In contact with them. Ex) Speaking to them over the phone & them saying they'd send over menus, appetizer choices, answers to questions, a proposal, etc. & then them never sending anything or following up (until weeks or months later). This happened every time we were in contact with them, which was frustrating. We totally understand that things happen, but from the looks of many of the other reviews, this is an ongoing issue. They also showed up about 2 hours late to our wedding. Them being late interrupted the ceremony part of our wedding, because they were unloading/passing through in the middle of the ceremony. Our ceremony was in the front lawn of our venue & reception was in the back. Luckily, not many guest noticed, but that did delay their preparation time and we ended up having long lines to get food once the reception began. Although, taste & pricing is good... Having experienced working with Sabor, I wouldn't recommend them. My 60 guests couldn't stop ranting and raving about the food, especially the elotes corn appetizer I added to my package! Had the pleasure of enjoying Sabor's food at a baby shower this weekend. They were offering tacos de carne asada, el pastor and chicken, mulitas (similar to corn quesadillas w/meat) and street dogs (bacon wrapped hotdogs w/peppers). Meat was marinated very well, no fatty pieces in the asada at all. El pastor was a bit spicy (which I don't mind) and very tasty. Chicken was also very delicious. Two types of salsas, pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, beans and chiles gueros (yellow sweet toasted chiles) were available to choose from. The green chile was tasty however I noticed after being out a while it started to smell sour. I think they need to incorporate ice some how to chill the chile(s) down so they don't go bad throughout the party. The two women cooking were exceptionally nice and friendly and the presentation was very appealing. I will def consider booking them for a gig in the future. read more

I reached out to Sabor for Cinco de Mayo catering after having posted on social media that I was looking for tacos. They responded and informed me that they were offering Family Taco packs for 8-10 people for $75. They messaged me a picture of that special. I ordered 4 packs and requested a delivery time of 5:15 p.m. Throughout the ordering process they were prompt. Problem came the day of delivery. At 5:08 pm I received a call asking if I wanted the packs separated or put into large containers. I told them they could be packaged in large containers and hung up. That's when I noticed it was 5:10 p.m. I immediately called back and received no answer. I then sent a text and received no answer for approx 15 min. I decided to call at 5:33 pm. I spoke to Robert and he told me they were finishing packing up my order and were heading out. He told me they were 17 miles away from me. That's it. No apology or explanation for why they were this late when my delivery time was supposed to have been at 5:15 p.m. No estimate on time of arrival (ETA). Nothing. I estimated about 30 minutes with no traffic because of the pandemic. At 6:20 p.m. I texted Robert and informed him that no one had arrived with my order and if he could give me an ETA. He texted at 6:22 p.m. and said the order was "just heading out." Again, no apology or explanation for why my order had not been sent out 47 minutes earlier when he had previously stated that it was being packed up for delivery. A minute later he sent a text telling me my order was "in route." My order arrived at 7:00 pm and the amount of food I received for $300, In particular the amount of rice and beans, which was supposed to feed 32-40 people was disappointing! I asked the driver several times if he was missing containers and I was so upset about the amount of food I had received that he told me he would call his boss to double check. He came back and informed me that his boss would call me today to discuss. The driver did not acknowledge the fact that my order was 1:45 minutes late. My order did not come with any utensils or plates. Today I did not receive a call or text from Robert or anyone from Sabor Catering. The meats (asada, chicken and al pastor) and food were all good. And so I give them 2 stars. Their customer service however leaves much to be desired. In this time of pandemic everyone is trying to be flexible and understanding and so a slight delay would have been fine had they communicated properly. But 1 hour and 45 minutes late is UNACCEPTABLE. Not a single apology or explanation. No follow up! I had multiple people set to pick up plates of food at various times to conform to socially distancing practices and they couldn't because the food hadn't arrived! Some people left without food but thankfully so because the amount of food I received would have NEVER fed 32-40 people!! read more

Long overdue review: Not just your ordinary taco guy. Best tacos ever! Had them for our intimate wedding of 50-60 people earlier this year so we wanted something a little more upscale. The food is fantastic and the servers were friendly and accommodating. Since then, at least 3 other people that attended my wedding have used them for their special occasions. They'll work with your budget to fill your needs. I called another taco caterer I knew would get the job done but his business has been going so good that he was going on vacation so of course I turned to YELP! Good food for the guests is one of the most important things in my opinion. Price is right on target. No overpricing here. Bobby called me back the same day and was very friendly and generous with his time considering my list of questions. The food was very good. It was cooked onsite by his mother and sister. Very sweet family. Anybody that says mija in the very genuine way and have a smile on their face like Maria and Eyla did are okay with me. They handled the job very well. Late review. Sabor catered my daughter's bridal shower in early Aug. Communication from the beginning, to the day of my event & follow-up after was great. I had to make several changes along the way due to covid & all of my questions were answered in this regard & all my requests on the day of the shower for covid precautions were managed perfectly.
