The menu is pretty concise with typical Colombian dishes - we tried the beef empanada, Colombian hot dog, arepa rellena with beef, yuca frita, and the salchipapa and sancocho (not pictured!) The food was good if not overly simple. I would've liked to see more sauce options but they did just open so I will definitely be back to try more. I love Colombian food, so when I went here I was so excited! Sadly I wasn't completely happy with my experience. The food was okay but the service was not the best. We had 2 waitresses and it got a little confusing who was taking our order etc but it got taken care of. I think one of them was having a bad day so her attitude came out a little harsh but by the end she was a little nicer. The place is small but very authentic and you can definitely see Colombia reflected here! I loved that. For the food I order a bandeja paisa and most of the food was warm to room temperature except the egg. The flavor was good but I would've liked it a little hotter. I also order the maracuyá liquidado (milkshake) and that was a 10/10 & a large size. For appetizer I got a empanada de pollo and let me tell you that was so good! And that one was freshly made so it was warm and yummy! So the appetizer and drink were great, just the meal it could've been a little warmer. This is truly a hidden gem. It is located next to a bank and Starbucks, you can easily miss it. The inside is colorful and cozy. The staff is friendly and warm. I am not from NY, but I think this is what a Bodega must be like. The service is quick, but don't be fooled. Your food is made fresh and comes out hot. My friend ordered one of the soups, and I ordered the Pastor Arepas and Chicken Arepas. We also had an empanada, and it was savory and flaky. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of my Arepas, but they were packed to the brim and so tasty. I am made. I had no idea this was so close to my neighborhood. They also have a small grocery section right in the store. For a moment, you are transported away from San Antonio for a delicious treat. This was my second time. I order to go and the steak was dry and small. The sweet plantains look old and had a weird color. The chorizo was burned. The beef empanadas had more potatoes than beef and had too much Cumin, so tasted like cumin. The cheese empanadas were excellent. Came here for the first time and I was very pleased with their Columbian food menu. We ordered Bandeja Paisa and Bistec with salad and arepas! These dishes did not disappoint and were plentiful for our emptied stomachs. The service was a little slow but I'm assuming because they were very busy with only two servers working.
