Some of the best Colombian food on this side of town. Bunelos are good despite being store bought. Arepa de desebrada is amazing and packed with meat. They do not skimp on the meat. Tequenos which are essentially mozzarella sticks are a bit bland but good. The empanadas de carne are aa must try. Overall pretty solid place. The location can be easy to miss as it is in a car lot. First, don't expect fast service. They are in absolutely no rush, to serve you, or bring your food. The food takes awhile. My son got his arroz con pollo, then my food came waay later after we first ordered, even the best restaurants in town don't take remotely this long. I don't mind waiting, if you tell me it will be a wait and leave it to us if we want to wait. No orders in front of us either. Second,l I visited here years ago, and the gentleman and lady that ran it and made our food, were cheerful, smiling and overall gave you a warm vibe. I wish I had started reviewing back then. Well while we waited and waited, there were saws cutting lumber literally right behind us working. I mean right at our backs. I saw the hours of operation, why could this not be done during the hours it was closed? All this, and I was ready to slam this place. Well...dang it...the food was amazing!! I would have so many health issues if I ate this everyday, but man it was great. There was this sour vinegar like hot sauce that we absolutely loved! We couldn't get enough of it. Well, it was just fine . The beans are not good, they were cold and mushy. The rice was the wrong type of rice, not sure why they would use basmati rice for Colombian food. The carne on the Paiso plate was tough and hard to chew. The egg was overcooked. The beef and papa empanadas were good just didn't expect it to be made with ground beef. The chicharron was ok, the meat sections were tasty but it needed to be cooked much more to make it crispy. Will not return. read more

Man this place is the hidden gem of all hidden gems! I'll admit up front I love arepas, and most places don't have Colombian food. My wife has never had Columbia's food at all, so she didn't know what to expect. The arepas are like small sandwiches and the dough is thicker than a tortilla. Everything I've tried so far from here is delicious. Both the empanadas and arepas are stuffed with hearty filling. The empanada has a crunchy cornmeal crust, while the arepas are soft but have a slight crisp sear. I personally thought the meat/potato empanada was better than the chicken empanada because the chicken was a bit dry and stringy, while the meat/potato mixture was perfectly moist. The ham and pineapple arepa tasted okay, but the pineapple caused the arepa to be a little bit soggy. I probably wouldn't get this one again. The shredded meat arepa was topped with a quail egg, with the meat itself being juicy and well-seasoned. The chorizo arepa was filled generously with chorizo, but the taste of the chorizo wasn't anything special and didn't really impress me. Finally the morcilla was a nice surprise. I love trying blood sausages from various cultures, so I wanted to give this one a try too. The casing has a crisp bite, while the sausage mixture has a mellow taste. I will most definitely be back for more empanadas and to try the other arepas and sides. read more
