10 minutes waiting to be served
    Daniela A.

Giving three stars because the food was pretty good but service was terrible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came in on a Sunday night around 8pm, the restaurant had about 6 occupied tables at the time we arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One of the servers said to sit anywhere we liked. We sat at the second booth in row of booths they had toward the back. The first one was empty & the third one was occupied by a couple. For 10 minutes, the server attending that table walked past us several times & interacted with the table but would simply walk past us. The server that greeted us seemed to have the section towards the front so her back was to us the entire time. I called the server's attention and asked her who would be serving us and she was so shocked that we had not been greeted and looked almost confused, she explained that we had to press a button for service (which was located under a small monitor but this was not explained to us. Our food also took a long time to come out but that's understandable because my mom ordered a soup. They gave us a complimentary order of their cheese tequeños for the inconvenience. I'd come back but do pick up instead, I noticed the pick up orders are taken out faster than the dine in guests'.

The hot dog/ perro caliente was very tasty, very venezuelan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the place, its super cozy for a fast lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast, there wasn't a lot of people when we went. So it was perfect. Muy rico todo!

While I was out today, I was in the mood for an arepa today so I decided to stop by this location. I got my arepa to go, I hardly had to wait which I appreciate. The wait was less than 10 minutes although the place was pretty full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I was there I used the restroom and it was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a ham and cheese arepa with an add on of avocado. It was very delicious and I was very happy to see the amount avocado was added on. Overall great experience.

This restaurant is in the heart of Kendall, off 137th and Kendall. We got there right when they were about to close. They allowed us to sit down and enjoy our meal while they cleaned up to close. The service was great, we received our food immediately. To start we had the chicken empanadas, which were fantastic! They come with a cilantro sauce which was creamy and paired well with the empanadas. The empanadas were crunchy and toasted to perfection. As an entree I enjoyed an arepa with shredded cheese and pork rinds. I love the shredded cheese that comes along with it soo much, it's salty and melts in your mouth. I highly recommend you check this spot out, maybe for a quick date night. You can dress casual, nothing fancy. They sell desserts and even jewelry at the front desk, super cute!

This is my favorite local Venezuelan spot for breakfast. It makes me feel at home. Their empanadas are one of my favorite, can't forget the Salsita. Their pasteles are delicious as well. One day I even had their pasticho (lasagna) for lunch and it was so good. My only downside is the prices tend to be on the high end. But other than that the food is great.

A really good spot for some authentic Venezuelan food. Every time we come down to Miami, my mom is on the hunt for her hometowns amazing food. This spot by far is my favorite!!! Everything was amazing. The flavors were on point, it felt as if we were in Venezuela again. I loved how they also have the candy from the country that we use to eat whenever we would visit. If I'm back in the area I will be coming back!

The menu is in Spanish so we ordered from the pictures!

As crazy as it was not having anything in English, the service and food were amazing! We walked in not knowing anything about the restaurant and soon learned that only one worker spoke English and there were no menus in English either! We ordered off the pictures and some Yelp photos and hoped for the best! We got the best!! There's a button at the table to push for service so somebody is right there when you need them. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Not sure what we ordered but it was delicious!

I had an opportunity to try this place out since I was in the area of Kendall and 137 Avenue. I needed to grab something quick to go and didn't want to go for the traditional pasteleitos or croquetas from a bakery. I wanted to have an arepa and some cheese.. typical of Colombian or Venezuelan breakfast, with some coffee. I pulled up YELP and found this location in a shopping plaza. Ironically next to a Don Pan bakery. I went inside and was immediately greeted. There were a few customers dining in and they have a small counter area where you can see their empanadas, food that prepped and available to go, and their coffee station. Now that morning, not sure if they waitress informed a bad mood but she wasn't the friendliest, and I'm not asking for a welcome mat or a cheerleaders chant, but her hello came off and when I asked about the arepa, she didn't explain which kind was available and what was included. It was more of a what do you want, that's what you want, this is the total. Now considering I had never eaten there and Colombian and Venezuelan food are different I'm sure the wat you order an arepa and cheese are different. Unfortunately from the pictures on YELP I didn't have a visual picture to show her. I ordered a coffee, 2 empanadas and 1 Arepa with cheese. The empanadas are made of a sweet bread/dough so you taste that immediately when you bite down. The best one to me was the cheese one. It was gooey and cheesy and the combination of the sweet and cheese went well. The meat flavored one was bland, the bread had more flavor than the sweet one. Lastly, the arepa and cheese was a ripoff, from flavor to price. That alone was $7 and it was a cold piece of arepa with a chunk of cheese that seemed as if it was just pulled from a massive chunk in the back and then thrown in a bag. Never order that unless you looking to throw away $7. I think the bag had more flavor than the actual arepa and cheese. I'll admit I would come back just for the cheese empanada, and possibly to have a sit down meal. I rated it a 3 because that's what enables a somewhat positive review, 1st impression of service wasn't great and the overpriced bland piece of cheese and arepa wasn't a great experience.

    Nice decorations on their walls.

Great and friendly service from the owners and their family. They helped me pick put an assortment of empanadas and cachitos to please my fellow Venezuelan co-workers. They were happy with the food and the freshly squeezed juices. The place is decorated authentically with the Venezuelan flavor. Lots of different foods and desserts to pick from. We will be back to try out their breakfast selections as they looked awesome.

The food was consistently delicious and everything tasted incredible. Today I was walking through Coral Gables and got hungry, so I decided to give it another try after a couple of disappointments a few year back. We were greeted warmly and the service was outstanding, the staff was attentive, courteous, and always smiling, which really makes a difference. They started us off with complimentary arepitas de chicharrón that were excellent. I ordered the patacón de carne, which was packed with flavor, though the shredded meat came a little cold. We also got the patacón de pollo and we loved it. Both came with fresh avocado, tomato, and lettuce, and the green plantain was perfectly crispy. They also brought out their four house sauces (white, green, pink, and spicy) and every single one was fantastic. The portions were generous and more than enough for one person. I'm really glad my return visit was a positive experience. It reminded me why I loved this place so much, and I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. Given that this is South Florida, where multiculturalism is such a big part of the community, it would be great to see entertainment that reflects and embraces a broader audience. Finally, while the food remains very good, the portion sizes feel small for the current pricing. It seems that prices have increased noticeably, and the value does not feel quite as balanced as before.
