Mr. Barnes gave top-notch service when a couple weeks ago I accidentally dropped my 2014 MacBook a few inches, smacking its inverter and causing my screen to get fried. Upon bringing it in the next day, he did a preliminary assessment, explaining this to me, and collecting my contact information. He called me later that same afternoon to explain that it wasn't just a shock, but that a complete inverter replacement would be necessary since after about 5 minutes of his initial fix, the screen went dark again. He explained to me the costs, and his frank recommendation given how old my computer was, sharing a timeline of late the following week considering his suppliers. Tuesday the following week he called explaining the fix had been completed. Since picking it up the next day, it has been functioning as good as new! My husband and I found Sac City Computer Hub Google. We went there with 2 laptops. One labtop, was a labtop I got a couple years ago which I can no longer turn on and the other was a labtop I bought early this year which the touch screen was completely damaged. For the labtop I was not able to turn on at all was due to hardrive. Luckily Ben said he had one available and was able to get me that labtop fixed by the end of the day. As for the other, the touch screen had to be ordered and once he replaced it, he was going to get back in contact with us. Estimated time was about a week. He was able to get it delivered and fixed for me within days. Ben was fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. His prices is really reasonable. My husband even took his labtop for updates when he was picking up the second labtop. So that was a total of 3 laptops that we had him work on. I called Sac City Computer Hub after visiting a few computer shops in my area that was not so enthusiastic about answering questions. I'm not very tech savvy so I had a lot of questions whether to fix an aging and slowing laptop or getting a new laptop. My laptop was stationary so I also had questions about custom build desktops. When I called Sac City Computer Hub and talking to Ed about my issue with my laptop he was enthusiastic about answering my questions so I asked him for a quote. It was during Thanksgiving week so he told me he needed to check with his vendor for the part. I also told him that I wanted to look into a custom desktop and he replied he has some that he just built. So later that week I decided to take the 50 mile drive to see what he had and to ask more questions. I'm glad I did cause Ed talked to me like a consumer and not like someone who is suppose to know all these tech language already. He answered question after question with enthusiasm like he loved teaching these things and he is a super nice person. He helped me understand what I wanted out of my computer. He has told me to repair units when practical and told me when I should consider buying a new unit.
