My next 2 sons that were born saw DOCTOR POLLOCK in New Westminster, he was so amazing and they felt no pain during the 1 minute procedure. Their procedure is way better they use the mogen clamp (google it and you will see how amazing and quick it is) GO SEE DOCTOR POLLOCK ITS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY IF IT MEANS YOUR SON WILL NOT BE TRAUMATIZED.

Dr. Kim-Sing was efficient and informative when during the appointment and provided all the information we needed on recovery after the procedure. He had retired…read morefrom his position as head of psychiatry at St Paul's Hospital and began his private practise in West Vancouver in the mid-1970s. I was very fortunate to be referred to him by my GP, who as unable to understand my problem with marked insomnia - for which Dr Paragas immediately referred me to Dr Jun Wada at his lab at UBC. There was a neurological basis for my insomnia and some other psychiatric problems, for which Dr Paragas immediately began successfully treating me. He later told me that when I began describing aspects of my insomnia, he immediately suspected the brain disorder that Dr Wada discovered I had. My problems weren't limited to just a brain disorder. CSA and mental and physical abuse at home (a "triple-whammy" as Dr Paragas described it) had made my life nearly unbearable up until that point, and his care made it possible for me to understand what I was facing in life, and how to deal with it - and he did so with great care and an amazing sense of humour, such that I was able to successfully attend post-secondary education and eventually land a job with a pension and benefits that help me to this day. In the early 2000s, a life-threatening medical mishap caused me to develop chronic PTSD, for which Dr. Paragas began treating me until he retired about a decade later. I don't think I could have ever been as fortunate as I was than being referred to Dr Paragas - he was also a highly-skilled clinician - whenever I had casually mentioned symptoms of a medical problem I was experiencing. He was always able to name the problem before I sought treatment with my GP, and what to expect in terms of treatment and outcome. The community in which he practised benefitted greatly from his wisdom and knowledge, as did I, for many decades. He was a brilliant doctor in every respect - and I'll never forget how much he helped me in life.

Dr. Barnett nearly killed my sister. Both her and her receptionist are utterly incompetent…read more My sister asked for a cardiac referral and Dr. Barnett told her she just had anxiety without running any tests and refused to refer. Turns out my sister has 2 heart conditions. She underwent a 60 day hospital stay and 3 procedures. We were told by the hospital she would have died within the year if untreated at age 21. We received a half hearted apology, but 8 months later, and Dr. Barnett still has not referred her to follow up care and she cannot get assigned to a cardiologist without Dr. Barnett's cooperation. Additionally, my sister injured her knee in August and was told in September she would need an MRI to confirm if surgery is required. She was told she was placed on the MRI waitlist by reception. We found out 4 months later, Dr Barnett did not put the referral through as she wasn't sure if the MRI would be allowed with my sister's ICD (pacemaker). This is a very common device and even if unsure, it does not take 4 months to determine the answer. We would love to find a new family doctor, but no one is accepting patients. Do not go here if you value your life.

He is very caring and takes his time with each person. I am aware that often you have to wait and sometimes it's a long wait but I plan for this but you know when it's your turn, you will get his full and undivided attention. I never feel rushed with him. I think I'd rather that than a doctor who is on time but feels rushed. I always have a phone call now if I don't need to come to the office because then I can go about my business and just take the call when it comes in.

The MOA's on staff can be a little snappy, but I don't doubt that they have a lot of difficult people to deal with on a daily basis. But other than that, Dr. Leung has always made me feel extremely comfortable and has legitimately listened to my concerns without brushing me off/trying to rush to the next patient. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and been granted referrals when I have asked; or been given a logical explanation if my request was not able to be granted. If anyone is looking for a family practice in the Champlain 'hood, I would highly recommend Dr. Leung and the rest of the staff at Collingwood Medical!

My medical history has become very complicated and I was worried that no doctor would want to take on my case. From the moment I entered their practice I felt an incredible calm wash over me. Calming music fills the waiting area. The front desk staff are absolutely lovely and always pleasant. There is no room full of people waiting to be seen because the appts. are scheduled to ten minutes each. This is a win/win for both patients being seen on time and for the doctors not stressed out because numerous patients are waiting! As for Dr. Melissa Ng she was so welcoming. Upon meeting her, I felt a huge sigh of relief that I was finally in competent hands. She immediately questioned whether I had my pneumonia and shingles vaccinations and sent off a prescription to my local pharmacy. Dr. Ng followed through on test requests that were supposed to have been ordered and had not been. She is sharp as a tack yet totally empathetic and non-judgemental. We are systematically going through my medical issues and I feel that I have my health back under control. Dr. Melissa Ng is my miracle.

But Dr. Cindy Lee has proven she is gentle, knowledgeable, and very professional. I'm very lucky to have her. The only problem with this clinic is that it's very hard to make an appointment. With being such a great doctor, everyone is trying to get a piece of her time. her usual online booking availability is a week away, by then most normal colds and flus would've been gone. You can try calling, but their calling system isn't hooked up the right way and it just takes you do a voice messaging system. I haven't tried emailing yet, but it might work! You honestly just have to keep trying? Once you've made an appointment, Dr. Cindy Lee is really great at being on schedule and you won't even wait long! I met him for the first time and he seemed like a very kind and compassionate physician. He's a good listener and seemed genuinely concerned about my medical issues. The clinic was opened only for a few weeks, so he and another family physician are seeking new patients. He's young and appears to be a recent medical school grad, which is perfect as I prefer young, driven, and compassionate doctors over older and jaded physicians, which seem like they care about their paycheck than your medical concerns. This clinic is inside of a Pharmasave pharmacy and may be a bit difficult to find. The entrance is on the side of the building adjacent to the parking lot.

I was in there to ask about what I could do about sunspots on my face as they seem to be getting worse every year. I know people who have "burned" or lasered them off or use microdermabrasion, etc... so I wanted to know my options. In what took about 30 seconds - this dr. blurted out 2 fancy names for the types of sunspots I have on my face, told me that because I have "dark skin" (FYI - I actually have very fair skin but because I am not caucasian, my skin is considered to be "dark") - he doesn't recommend removing them because the results could be worse. I then asked if there were any other treatment options or creams - he said there was nothing that he knew of that actually works. In the 9 minutes and 30 seconds that followed, he proceeded to talk non-stop about the vacation spot that my family and I were planning on going to (suggesting places to go, where to eat, etc...). It was like he HAD to spend 10 minutes with me and it didn't matter how those 10 minutes were spent. What a complete waste of time! If your family physician refers you to this guy - ask for someone else!
