Decided to try Mesquite Plumbing/Mr. Rooter. We stayed home and waited for them to arrive. Late in the day they rescheduled for the next day. When they eventually arrived, the plumber looked at it and said that he would sour up an estimate. Thirty minutes later he presented the estimate for $1500 and another for $5000 to replace a non-leaking line by the street because the copper was "Green". Coincidentally, we just had that line replaced by Riddell for only $400, just 3 months ago when the city replaced our meter. I told the Mr. Rooter representative this and he told me that they do "by the Job" pricing vs. by the hour and that is why it cost so much. I paid him the $65 "service call charge" and sent him on his way. I then dug up the area around the valve and found a very small leak at one of the copper pipe junctions. Less than a half hour to fix for any decent plumber. I would literally be ashamed to operate a business in this type of predatory manner. If I didn't know something about plumbing, I would have been totally ripped off. BUYER BEWARE!

When I initially…read morecalled his office, his receptionist was courteous and professional, Michael called me shortly thereafter and I apprised him of several plumbing issues, one of which involved two faucet handles that had a measure of corrosion. He quickly suggested I contact the manufacturer and take advantage of their lifetime warranty. I did and they agreed to send me replacement handles. That was an immediate cost saving measure. When Michael came to my home the next day, he proceeded to unclog three sinks, and improve the water flow in the three connected faucets. He also conveyed some valuable household plumbing information that should prove beneficial going forward. All of these services were provided at a reasonable price. I will definitely call Michael should future plumbing issues arise.

I talked to a few neighbors who had dealt with similar issues in the past and, no joke, ever single one of them referred Larry. "You're an idiot if you don't call him" I was told. Fear of being labeled the neighborhood moron, I called Larry and I'm so glad I did. He showed up, quickly identified the problem and had it fixed within the hour (that includes digging up a small portion of the yard, finding the issue, fixing the issue and replanting the grass). He was very professional, friendly beyond reproach and more than fair when it came to price. He's also from Lewisville and we should all shop local when possible.
