I do not know for the life of me how this place stays open . I had a dog collected and stored at this facility as well as i had frozen semen shipped in to be stored for me there. I ended up selling the semen that I originally had collected there and I filled out all the proper forms etc and thought I was good.. For some reason i have had to tell them 4 separate times and filled out documentation 4 times stating that the semen is owned by an individual in Hawaii yet they are still trying to change me for it because their paperwork and files are still to date incorrect. Then I brought my first female into them for insemination named Mina, I made the deal with, and dripped Mina off to be housed there and inseminated by the vets at Sachse TX, I was charged for 7 or 8 progesterone tests and was only notified about 4, then I ended up having to drive to Wylie, Texas to pick Mina up at another facility that I did not make the agreement with at all. I had no clue my dog was to be last second transported to separate facilities in a entirely different town for her procedure. The vet there FORD bred Mina with frozen semen on day 20-22 after her first sign of a cycle well after she had gone out of heat and of course he missed her breeding, I was going to move my semen out of there because the experience with Mina was not to my standards or approval but my partner said to give them a second chance because sometimes that's the way it goes.. I gave these guys another chance with another female named Cora and it was a horrible mirror image of the last experience with exception I wasnt forced to drive out of the way to a seperate town to pick my dog up in a whole different town this time. Once again, you guys bred Mina on day 20 of her cycle well after she had gone out of heat and once again missed the breeding.. So all in all I'm out of $2500 on frozen semen THAT CAN NEVER BE REPLACED and nearly $4000 on vet bills and I don't have a single puppy to show for all this.. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had concerning frozen semen breedings. With as many progesterone tests as the people charged me for we should have never missed multiple breeding in a role like this. We strongly feel this place charges unfair prices for services they didnt perform then missed multiple breedings in a role only for their employees to chuckle about the situation and claim, "Thats just the way it goes" I do not reccomend this facility for any reason for any reproductive procedures. read more

Attendant: "we don't take emergencies" Me: when I was in there a few months ago people were bringing in their dogs for emergency situations Attendant(direct quote): "yeah no" So I guess I was hallucinating with the rest of the people in there. I only have used SVH for grooming services for my dog, so I can't comment on anything else, but the people who answer the phones and make appointments are always so rude on the phone, like I am bothering them by calling. When I made a grooming appointment the last time, they made sure to tell me that the dog was overdue for a vaccine and they couldn't see him without it. What they didn't even bother to check was that my dog sees another vet and is up to date on all vaccines. Tone of voice goes a long way, and it would be nice to hear a nice one for a change. As for the actual grooming, I have a small dog and just as long as he smells better and gets his fur cleaned up, I'm not picky. I haven't actually met the groomer, so if you want a really specific style or cut, I recommend asking to speak to the groomer personally. read more

04/13/21 I've been attempting to get my dog in for a simple grooming since December, and have been rescheduled twice. After being notified the morning of I will not be able to get my dog groomed after waiting so long, I called to see if I could get the situation figured out. To see if I could take her to a different location the same day they notified me for the second time they had to reschedule. The young Lady who answered the phone replied "well I don't know what to tell you, go somewhere else, our groomer has an auto immune disease so she calls in sick." With no attempt to talk about rescheduling options, no simple apology for the second delay in a row, just a snide remark. I understand the situation, don't talk to me like I wouldn't understand...my mother has Lupus I AM aware of the situation. But to just disregard the situation with no attempt of guest service is unacceptable. I am irate that I got the phone call equivalent of having a door shut on my face with no attempt AT ALL to even to Resolve the issue. read more

I am VERY disappointed with the grooming services at Sachse vet. Hospital! The lady groomer is very unkind and not friendly at all. She was rude to me and my dog about the cut I wanted. This was the second time she did not do the cut I asked for. I asked for my dog to look exactly the same but just to trim him and she shaved him with a un even shave and un even cut around the face. I did not ask for this. I do not recommend at all. Wish I could give 0 stars. I posted a pic of what he looks like before and now after the awful cut. He is a very handsome boy and I'm deeply upset he has to have this cut for the next month or so. read more

If you can't come into the office and shed some cash, they won't give you the time of day. No complaints about the doctor but his front office manager and staff are absolutely cold and uncaring. They wouldn't approve much needed future prescriptions for my old sick cat because she's not rabies vaccinated even so she'd strictly indoors and no longer in TX. None of that was mentioned when I brought her in a couple of months ago. I changed states so now I have to take her to a different vet here and do it all over again for no reason. What a rip off! Southern hospitality has definitely left the no longer great state of Texas. read more

I use Dr. Dunn. He has put up with all my skeptical questions and I have been able to call and get meds without even seeing him. I do wish they would just come see me first instead of having to tell a vet tech first. Not a fan of swabs or scrapings without talking to a doctor first. That being said I question everything but I don't let them do anything except what I feel is necessary. My job is in the medical field and I know most docs do all the extra stuff because people want it and feel better with it. read more

I was very disappointed with my visit at Sachse Veterinary Hospital. I came with my cat who had health problems and was also in need of vaccination.... an hour and a half later his health issues were not solved, he did not get his vaccination (as the vet was afraid to touch my cat) and I was short $50. My cat is 11 years old and I have never had to seduce him in order to have his vaccination done .... Been to this clinic 3 times and staff are not very friendly and the veterinarian doctors are not very friendly towards my dog. Don't speak to my dog or cuddle with him and he's got anxiety. I am also talking about their clinic at Murphy Veterinary Hospital also same bad experience. To add, the groomer at the Sachse clinic did a terrible job on my dog. His cut was choppy looking and not a smooth cut and the hair on his head was horribly cut. Liz wasn't available that day to cut him so this experience was disappointing. My dogs went to a better faculty for their exams and vaccinations. The doctors and staff there are very friendly and professional. They also keep current records of all the dogs exams and vaccinations so you don't have to go thru your own paperwork and find it for them! read more

We are a fan of Sachse Veterinary Hospital. I got a same day appointment after we adopted our shelter cat Luna. The receptionist was nice and checked us in fast. The vet tech loved on our kitty and made her feel at ease. Dr. Dunn was full of knowledge and insight to the life our cat may have led before she came to us. He explained everything with detail and gave honest recommendations. I didn't feel like they were trying to gauge us out of extra money and were genuinely interested in helping. Got a new kitten for my 12 year old daughter. He was perfectly healthy for the two weeks we had him before these idiots killed him. Took him here after we discovered he had worms and they gave him flea medication too. He was dead within 18 hours. Turns out there are known problems with flea medications. As vets you would think they would know this and at least say something to you about it. But no. I loved this cat. He was the most awesome cat I had seen in years. And these people killed him. They are one hundred percent directly responsible for his death via their blatant incompetence. If there is a problem with pet medications it is their JOB to know it and to disclose it to you. Dr. Perky and his staff have been taking care of our cats for years, and we would not consider going to any other veterinary hospital. This staff saved one of our cat's lives after the 24-hour emergency hospital recommended we put him down. (He made a full recovery.) And Dr. Ford successfully treated a cat who swallowed a cat toy. If you like waiting and unfriendly staff, this is the place for you. We have brought our cats here on several occasions and have had to wait in the exam room 30 minutes to an hour before anyone even checked on us. The whole time our cats, which are indoor cats and never go out side, were totally freaked. Total exam time took less than 10 minutes. Although this vet is a stones throw from our house, will be taking our cats some where else in the future. read more

I have been using Dr. Perky for many years. He helped us out on many occasions when we rescued a puppy from the Garland shelter. The puppy ended up having distemper and didn't make it. Since then we have gotten 2 more dogs and they both get bathed, shots and all exams done at this office. The staff has always been very accommodating and friendly. read more
