We are just devastated..... Our sweet beautiful Cat Jane is no longer with us. She was pregnant with 4 kittens. We brought her to the vet after labor stopped. The Dr gave her not 1,2 or 3 injections but 5 with no progress of labor from the first. She ended up taking her in for a c section. (Kittens were still moving) Kittens were not able to breathe. (We feel possibly because Mom was given too much Anastasia and potocin) I sent her records to another Dr and was told the maximum was generally 4-6 units. Jane was given 18 units and had a uterine tear. She came out very lethargic. They told me that was normal. They released her directly after she came out of survey. (She was also fixed) I called the vet several times with no improvement. They said she just went through major surgery and what she was going through was normal. The next day no improvement and was told, it was to be expected after major surgery. I brought her back to the Dr. the following morning. Her tempature was low and Her Calcium low. She shortly passed. I tried calling to get her Anastasia records at both clinics and no one would answer my calls. I was later texted asking me not to call again and the owner would call me by the end of the day. Still no calls from the owner. Given the sircumstancis I felt calling was the right thing to do. The next day I went to pick up her Anastasia records and was told by M it wasn't there and brought to the other clinic. I went to the other clinic and they called South Fork. The lady told M that there would be no reason for the records to be there as the procedure was not done there. About an hour later the records appeared. It made me suspect they were done after the fact. At this point I have yet to file a complaint with The Medical Board of Veterinarians or file suit. Pending the out come of how this is handled. We are very much mourning our sweet beautiful CFA registered persian. I believe the Dr. is mornful....

i have been with these folk every since i got my, now 2.5 year old toy aussie, and they have been incredible!!! Some how he tore the nail to his dew claw, and with a call they had him in with-in the hour. they've been very diligent, informative and clear about what is happening. At first i thought the prices were high, but the care and the care to the human makes up. they love my Beauxdro, and i will recommend this clinic highly!! customer service is very much alive and healthy here.

They were so kind to our fur baby. Helped put her at ease.

They were very kind, made a very fast appointment, and quite professional. They informed us of many health hazards and how to prevent them.

I needed to get my dog in quickly due to illness, and they were able to schedule me the same day I called. I met Dr. Danielle Donnelly who is an absolute answer to prayer. She is caring, takes time to listen and was loving to my dog. She prescribed the needed medications and contacted me daily to see how Athena was doing. I was free to text her with questions and pictures that she responded to immediately. So, we recently returned for just a follow up exam, to answer several questions I had, to get Athena's nails trimmed and to get heartworm and flea medications renewed. Amanda, her assistant tech, took wonderful care of us and entered all information. She also carefully trimmed Athena's nails and petted her constantly while waiting for the Dr. Once again, Dr. Donnelly took much time with us offering medication options and advice after examining Athena. She truly cares about each pet she treats. Amanda then put all in computer to give me an estimated cost before I made a decision. This was greatly appreciated since I am retired. Everyone in the office that I have met is very friendly, understanding and helpful. I am indeed grateful to Dr. Donnelly and the entire staff for their care for my Athena.

***PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT GOOD CARE WITH A FRIENDLY BUDGET***…read moreAfter our appointment today we will not be going back. We have been clients for a few years now and I have been on the fence about continuing care at this location, and today sealed the deal. Two weeks ago we had an appointment for an ear infection for our dog. We were told to come back within two weeks for a free check up- which we clarified with the Vet tech and the Vet herself that this would be completely free for the visit and the swab. Today my husband was told it was be a fee of $27. When he addressed that we were told by 2 employees and checked at the front before we left the original appointment that the follow up would be free he was told that within the 2 weeks they had "changed their policy" but would waive the fee for us this time.....they explained that only coming in to the office was free......respectfully....no shit walking into the office is free. I understand $27 isnt a lot of money, but it truly rubs me the wrong way when you can't communicate to your clients properly. So if you're planning on coming into Breckinridge Park Animal Hospital...do yourself a favor and get itemized receipts, written expectations and fees for follow-ups and record conversations since their policy changes happen so frequently that they can not make their clients aware. After reading other reviews it seems like they have transparency issues and are after any dollar amount they can get. All of their responses to these negative have been "we're sorry for your experience and we want to be transparent with all clients"......Interesting there's no follow ups about these issues being resolved.

I can no longer trust a vet office with no emergency backup procedure to take care of my animal. Of…read morecourse things happen beyond our control, but that is the whole point of an EMERGENCY backup plan. For an animal "hospital" (or any place of business) to not have one in place is irresponsible. We almost missed our trip that day as we were dropping off our dog for boarding. With ZERO notice and no way to contact them, we were limited in options. When I called a few days later to talk to someone about my upcoming boarding reservations, this lady gave me no indication that they learned anything from this exercise. She wasn't overly apologetic about the circumstances we were put in, either. Instead she told me they sent a message in facebook (which I don't have) and an email to everyone the day before (which I didn't receive - of course I checked my JUNK folder when I finally reached the airport because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt before I berated them for being so unprofessional). Then I asked her what happened to the currently boarded animals, and she confidently told me they were well taken care of, which I can only assume they were running either fans or coolers on generators. I am confused here because if this was true, then no one thought to plug in one of the computers to get the schedule for the day? Either way, I'm abhorred by all her answers (made up or not) and how they mishandled this situation overall. If they couldn't log in, fine; but there was no one at the office to greet their appointments for the day to offer alternative care - mine was only a monetarily devastating situation but what if my sick baby was scheduled that day? If the boarded animals were truly taken care of (temperature-wise), then surely a human could stand to be in the same conditions. While none of this adds up, my main concern was really to understand how we move on from here and to get a good feeling on future situations. She failed in all aspects, but at least I found out now and can go to another vet.

"Country Brook Animal Hospital",.... sadly in name only…read more I've been a customer since the doors opened back in 1987, you could always count on Dr. Pipes, he was always available and always made time. All my friends and family used Country Brook because of Dr. Pipes. Because you could get in and because they could be counted on. Country Brook was standing room only for that reason. I personally have waited 2 or 3 hours, on many an occasion so my pets could get the care they needed, great care as a matter of fact. I know Dr. Pipes kept long and almost certainly hard hours, he was always devoted, he personally called many times long after closing to update on the status of our pet,... he always did this,... I remember on two separate occasions he called well after 11PM to let me know the status of seriously ill pets, and even allowed me to come up and visit my dogs after hours knowing they might soon pass away. In my opinion, anything less than this is criminal and lack luster,... Dr. Pipes is a true country Dr. I know, as we all did from conversations in the waiting room, that Dr. Pipes would retire one day and things would change, I even used to joke with him about the conversation people were having and what we would all do after that. These big conglomerates buy up all these great veterinarian clinics when real vets retire and turn them into empty shells of what they used to be,... short abbreviated care,... employing rude dispassionate vets with a fraction of the schooling,.... mediocre vets who might just serve the community by working a vitamin shop. ,... why can't these conglomerate continue to replicate the passion and the expertise or at least come close by aiming to the right of the just ok? Sadly, I'll be looking for something better!

Her bedside manner was poor and she wasn't friendly or reassuring, and the appointment felt rushed. After spending only about 15 minutes with us, we were presented with a dental estimate of over $3,400. During the exam, we were told my dog's heart and lungs sounded fine. Wanting a second opinion, we followed up with our regular vet, who immediately detected a fairly strong heart murmur. That was very concerning, especially after being told everything sounded normal just hours earlier. This place is just money hungry and has no regard for your animal. Only positive thing is Ryan the vet tech who was very nice and a lot more compassionate than Dr. Warner. But will not be recommending this place to anyone .
