We have been clients for a few years now and I have been on the fence about continuing care at this location, and today sealed the deal. Two weeks ago we had an appointment for an ear infection for our dog. We were told to come back within two weeks for a free check up- which we clarified with the Vet tech and the Vet herself that this would be completely free for the visit and the swab. Today my husband was told it was be a fee of $27. When he addressed that we were told by 2 employees and checked at the front before we left the original appointment that the follow up would be free he was told that within the 2 weeks they had "changed their policy" but would waive the fee for us this time.....they explained that only coming in to the office was free......respectfully....no shit walking into the office is free. I understand $27 isnt a lot of money, but it truly rubs me the wrong way when you can't communicate to your clients properly. So if you're planning on coming into Breckinridge Park Animal Hospital...do yourself a favor and get itemized receipts, written expectations and fees for follow-ups and record conversations since their policy changes happen so frequently that they can not make their clients aware. After reading other reviews it seems like they have transparency issues and are after any dollar amount they can get. All of their responses to these negative have been "we're sorry for your experience and we want to be transparent with all clients"......Interesting there's no follow ups about these issues being resolved.

I called a vets office. They were really nice. I show up in the place was no longer there so I called again hey let me know that that office had closed down and that they were another 25 minutes away from me and couldn't get me in soon. So I just did another Google search and found another vet office right off of 75 and 15th St. this place was dark and dingy. It smelled bad. I went ahead and stayed because my cat was in distress. The lady comes in doesn't introduce herself. I thought she was a doctor come to find out she was a nurse and during our conversation asked me to fill out a drop off form. It freaked me out. I haven't even met the doctor yet. There's been no treatment plan and they're already talking about wanting to keep my cat overnight. I did another Google search I found Breckenridge park Hospital and called them from the other doctors office. The lady was so nice professional. She even asked for my pets records from her vet, which I had faxed over to her immediately they were able to get me in an hour from the time that I called I grabbed my cat and got out of that office. When I got to the Breckenridge pet hospital, it was nice and clean and airy and people were nice but professional. I was able to go to the back after only five minutes of waiting. They asked lots of questions which is great!!! I waited maybe 10 minutes before the doctor got back there, which is nothing, especially in a walk-in visit like that the doctor Elias was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and i could tell if she cared. They cleaned the wound and bandaged and educated me on how to take care of her and when I get the bill, it was reasonably priced and I believe I paid exactly what I should have been charged. I can tell just by one visit that this place is loving and kind professional, and gives quality care to pets. I'm bringing her back in this morning for a check up, but I may be changing her veterinarian office. They've made such a good impression on me. I definitely recommend you taking your pet here.

We have also had occasion to board our furry family member there, too. Aside from the normal feelings of regret we pet lovers experience when boarding our pets, we have complete confidence in this business. While we have others to choose from, many closer, these people are great and worth a little longer trip to drop off or pick up of you are in Plano. Give them a try. Of course they also do grooming.

I had decent experiences with the vets and techs up until having to deal with Jim. DVM Moebius is not a good vet. I was only coming in for a cytopoint injection, but they insited that a vet visit was required, even though after the last vet visit and injection that a Cytopoint injection was not a vet vist/appointment. DVM Moebius is not a good vet. Regardless, as long as we were there, I wanted the vet to check a few things out. Told the tech and Moebius that I had a spot on my dogs tooth I wanted to check out as well as a few lumps on her hip. Instead, lets do a blood test, talk about a my dogs audible heart murmur and how amazing it is. Yes, its documented in her records and you can see we paid $5,100.00 for 2 cardiolgy appointments only to be told to change her food. So, yeah, lets move on. Anyway, the more I mentioned that I needed him to look at her tooth and hip, I was ignored. Never addressed. He kept recomending more things I needed to do at this appointment, but nothing in regards to what my concerns were. DVM Moebius is not a good vet. Lately, scheduling visits and auto reminders disorganized with unclear communication. When mistakes happened, I calmly expressed frustration (no yelling, no cussing -- just a concerned pet parent trying to understand). Instead of listening or trying to make it right, they basically told me they didn't want to be my vet anymore. After years of trust and business, that's the response? Wanting a second opinion, we followed up with our regular vet, who immediately detected a fairly strong heart murmur. All my friends and family used Country Brook because of Dr. Pipes. Because you could get in and because they could be counted on. Country Brook was standing room only for that reason. I personally have waited 2 or 3 hours, on many an occasion so my pets could get the care they needed, great care as a matter of fact. I know Dr. Pipes kept long and almost certainly hard hours, he was always devoted, he personally called many times long after closing to update on the status of our pet,... he always did this,... I remember on two separate occasions he called well after 11PM to let me know the status of seriously ill pets, and even allowed me to come up and visit my dogs after hours knowing they might soon pass away. In my opinion, anything less than this is criminal and lack luster,... Dr. Pipes is a true country Dr. I know, as we all did from conversations in the waiting room, that Dr. Pipes would retire one day and things would change, I even used to joke with him about the conversation people were having and what we would all do after that. These big conglomerates buy up all these great veterinarian clinics when real vets retire and turn them into empty shells of what they used to be,... short abbreviated care,... employing rude dispassionate vets with a fraction of the schooling,.... mediocre vets who might just serve the community by working a vitamin shop. ,... why can't these conglomerate continue to replicate the passion and the expertise or at least come close by aiming to the right of the just ok? Sadly, I'll be looking for something better!
