Breeding habits and migration were explained in detail. We were a family party of five with ages from 3 to 70 and all were well served on this early October morning. We always felt safe. There was a special bathroom stop. Faith is also people friendly and went beyond expectations to accommodate photos. I plan to do this again in late May or early June. in Gratitude, David

When you can't, you owe me a drink. Faith had no tours scheduled for today, but she woke up early and was waiting for my wife and I, boat in the water and ready to go. We paid a premium for the private tour but so worth it. I think 4 people per tour would be perfect so if you have another couple to split the costs it's well worth it. Watching Faith get so excited about spotting another species and talking excitedly about the where's and why's is really engaging. She truly cares about the lakes ecosystem and how it affects the birds. There is no script and no trying to up sell. This is a small owner-operator company. We had such a great morning. Before today I would have called this a bird watching trip. Now I will be describing it as a bird engagement tour. We stopped at a dock on the South side to watch even more birds not of the paddling type and use the restrooms. We then headed back across the lake. Our tour ran long as we were just enjoying the lake and the conversation. I recommend this tour just so you can feel Faith's passion for the waterfowl and this lake. My wife and I travel much of the year for work, meeting with customers and we see a lot of attractions, meeting a lot of people. We will be talking about this morning a lot with our friends and family.

She wasn't pushy at all and didn't upsell me anything - just gave me all the tips and info. We decided on a tandem snowmobile for an hour with a guide. We arrived 20 minutes late but she was so professional - she shortened and made the check in process so easy. There was a cabin with fire where you can change since Deer Mountain was quite cold and was snowing that day desolate the snow drought. She was mega attentive and taught us everything and told us exactly where we were going. She took couple of pictures for us and explained what we'll see had it not been so foggy. On the way back when we stopped at a viewpoint my boyfriend accidentally accelerated and we toppled right where the cliff started - Michele rushed over and helped us up and we genuinely concerned for our well being. We're so grateful she was our guide and can't recommend her enough. She's an amazing person with a beautiful smile and we definitely suggest everyone go snowmobile with her, especially first timers!

Michele is super fun and an overall great human. She's energetic and patient, and flexible with how you want to spend your time on the water. We went wakeboarding and enjoyed tubing! She even took us to see Mt. Shasta from the lake, which was beautiful. We'll definitely be back again!

We recently returned from an 8-day fishing charter aboard the phenomenal "Elva" to celebrate a 50th…read morebirthday. To say it was a trip of a lifetime is an understatement! The charter left from Great Exuma, Bahamas and we were greeted by a crew of 3 upon arrival that would accompany us during our phenomenal experience on a stunning 77-foot Hatteras. We fished every day and caught whaoos and barracudas. Andreas the deck hand and chef made great use of the fish we caught whether for afternoon sashimi snacks or incorporating it into our nightly feasts. He helped us novice fisherman improve our fishing skills and experience the thrill of reeling in our fish, some of us for the first time. Captain Shawn mapped out locations every night for our fishing success the following day. We toured around Long Island, Cat Island, and Hawks Nest. Logan, the Stew looked after all our inside needs from cooking, drink service, laundry and housekeeping. We were never without freshly made cocktails or wine in our hands. The crew was there to help us but not in an intrusive way and we felt we had ample time together without them (3 couples). When we weren't fishing there were plenty of things to do both onboard and off board. The yacht comes equipped with a tender, jet ski for 3, and 2 hydro-foils. If the rain sets in the boat comes with a wealth of games for families, adults, and couples. The rain in Bahamas is always fleeting and the weather forecast changes quickly. For the most part you can expect sunny skies and water colours that photos will never do justice. The ocean water was warm, and we took advantage of swimming, snorkelling and diving. The state rooms were amazing - 3 master suites each with their own king or queen bed, as well as ensuites. The beds were cozy all with new linens and towels. We slept better than in our own bed! For those that worry about needing some personal space, the rooms easily allow you to sneak away for an afternoon nap or read a book. The upper deck is also a great spot for some quiet and great sun worshipping especially in the mornings, as well as unbelievable views! Also, for those that can't live without Wi-Fi or sports, the Wi-Fi and TVs provided everything you needed. We ventured out for dinner to the Grand Isle Resort in the Palapa restaurant where locals greeted us and served a wide range of food (Sandals on the island also sells day/evening passes). You can easily walk to both from the marina. We ventured into Hawks Nest for pre-dinner cocktails one night - a quick 1/2 mile from shore. A quaint spot with friendly locals and bar. Jennie helped us with our pre-trip arrangements and was a pleasure to deal with. She gave us great ideas and tips from packing to island hopping to transportation to and from the Bahamas. We cannot express our gratitude enough to the crew and owners of the Elva. It really was an amazing experience which everyone should enjoy. We highly recommend Elva Charters and are looking forward to booking our next one on their fishing yacht Wild In Sac in Los Cabos next year!
