Either way, I wanted to invest in reducing my pain associated with scoliosis and it seemed like Fernando's expertise was in sports medicine and pain management versus other general acupuncturists. It seems as though this would be the best route for my specific issue. His office is clean and located in a building with a waterfall garden, bringing ease to those already anxious. I been seeing Fernando weekly since Jan 2026, and my scoliosis aches and pains have decreased significantly. My back muscles that always felt like rocks feel more soft and my anxiety filled brain feels less loud. I come into the sessions with intentions and worked to accept, acknowledge, forgive and release things that had happen in my past life, present life and generational issues passed down. I would meditate on those things while the needles are doing its work. I believe idiopathic scoliosis has to do more with emotional mental health than anything else. There were times were I trembled and wept as if my "body finally cried and let go" of all the emotional crap I been holding on to and Fernando was there to help calm. I'm addition, places that felt sensitive when needles were inserted no longer felt sensitive, a really good sign that my muscles are relaxed! I journal and reflect a lot afterwards to see what else I need to release during my acupuncture sessions and come back with my thoughts to Fernando to prepare for my treatment. I have wanted to try acupuncture for some time, but in the past few years, I've had terrible experiences with different health practitioners.
