I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

First of all, they helped her understand her need for that level of care. That was an accomplishment in itself! Then, for over a year, they sent a nurse 3 times a week, numerous pharmaceutical, medical, and personal supplies by special delivery, and fielded questions and concerns by phone. We loved her main nurse, Shirley, who was the epitome of caring and patience! We also appreciated the truthful, yet diplomatic, evaluation of my mom's condition by her and all staff. I would say that sometimes supply orders seemed to be overlooked at first, but then when I called, the staff bent over backwards to see that the provisions got to us. All in all, I'm very grateful to Comfort Hospice Care for supporting us through that very difficult season of life!

We had the pleasure of working with Emma and Rosalyn, who were two of the most caring and dedicated nurses you'll ever meet. Their care for my Grandmother was gentle and thorough. When my Mom's illnesses began to cause her a great deal of pain and discomfort, my brave Mom wanted to look into legal options of taking control of her 'end-of-life'. Her current hospice was not able to assist with her request. The national organization Compassion & Choices referred us to Mid Valley Hospice. Mid Valley arranged to meet my Mom immediately. Within 3 days she began the 15 day process that would grant her the peace that she wanted. From start to finish our relationship with Mid Valley Hospice was professional and responsive. Each time I called the office, the team members I spoke to were all aware of my Mom's case and worked together to meet her needs. She loved everyone who came to the house from the woman who gave her showers to the nurse checking vitals and meds. She especially appreciated Dr. Nelson, and said he was so kind and gentle. My special favorites were the owner, Anna, lovely Chelsea and dear Francis. They were my long distance confidants who helped me manage my Moms care from my home 90 minutes away. A doctor from Kaiser Permanente was also assigned to care and watch over my spouse after he had been moved from the nearby Kaiser Permanente Hospital. The people caring for him could only be described as angels. Gentle, softspoken, caring and watchful day and night. I could not have hoped for a better or more beautiful hospice than what I witnessed. Visitation was in complete privacy and the parting peaceful.
