Because it's unstaffed, I don't know how reliable it is to board a train. I tried it in Rocklin on Capital Corridor route (another unstaffed station) and because of delays, I ended up taking an Uber to Sacramento. So that type of situation can definitely happen. Now, I just go directly to Sacramento on return trips because that station is bigger, staffed and more reliable.

Roseville in the North East Sacramento suburbs does indeed have its own Greyhound stop, but it's actually just one of those typical Californian yellow and brown station houses which was built for Amtrak. It's at 201 Pacific Street and serves Amtrak trains and also has Greyhound station buses stop here, which is why it looks nice, because none of the Greyhound stations really look like this - they have their own design and this is much more of a California train design.

The weather was absolutely perfect for July. Confession time: we were all wondering... Are we really going to pedal this thing the whole way? Thankfully, the answer is no! The battery-assisted motor is the real MVP. You decide how much you want to pedal (or not), so you can enjoy the ride without feeling like you're training for the Tour de France. Haha The scenery was beautiful, with the river running right alongside the tracks, and the staff was friendly. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Without a doubt. So, if you've ever wondered what it's like to ride a railbike through the countryside, stop wondering and hop on. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is a couple of staff members were a bit stressed and it reflected on how they communicated with us.

Others were somewhat warm cloyingly sweet as to be unpleasant. Overall, though both of us are fans of boba tea- we would suggest a different vendor or more training for the staff preparing the samples. Roughly half of the flavors were not good at all. Additionally, they listed "boozy" flavors on the menu but never said anything about how to get those or whether they were included. Second problem- we preordered dumplings as did apparently a LOT of people. There were no dumplings on the train, only rice bowls. Furthermore- the waitress didn't know what we were talking about when we mentioned having preordered food. At least half of the tables in our car had preordered dumplings and were very disappointed. There was no information on how to obtain a refund if we didn't want the substitute of a rice bowl. About halfway through our trip, the train lost power which included lights, air conditioning, and the ability to flush toilets. Power stayed off with no explanation for more than 15 minutes, causing the car to become very warm and stuffy. Overall, this excursion suffered from lack of communication, lack of staff training, lack of preparation on the part of the organizers. Given the cost, I would not recommend this.

This station is relatively close to the Rancho Cordova campus of Folsom Lake community college, Carl's Jr, Starbucks and the Salvation Army thrift store, among other businesses. While there is so much attention directed at building yet another municipal theatre that is meant…read moreto somehow rescue Sacramento from desolation, there is a transit system here that has rapidly become a joke rather than a service intended to ease traffic and stimulate our economy by making it possible to work outside the city and bring shopping dollars back home to local businesses. So here are some things about our Public Rail System that I have decided should be better... Cleaner Stations/Rail Coaches: Many of the stations are becoming filthy, with piles of garbage welcoming you as you approach them. And too often, once aboard a rail coach there is more garbage like half eaten fast food boxes, beer/soda cans, clothing, newspapers and occasionally, even globs of phlem or urine. People smoke, drink, play loud music, rest their feet on the seats or just do whatever they please, in spite of the posted rules of conduct or the G4A Security presence. Restrooms: I know that Sacramento generally frowns on the homeless, but am I being prepesterous to suggest public restrooms that actually remain open on weekends, not only on street corners and parks, but even at or near bus/rail stops and terminals. Would this not be citizen friendly? On-board Rail Fare Machines: In Portland Oregon, the new streetcars have fairboxes inside. That way, if a fare machine is malfunctioning or you dont have the correct change as your train to rapidly approaches, you can simply hop on and buy a ticket from an on-board machine, thereby avoiding contact with transit cops or being late to ,wherever you were headed. Smart Fare Machines: Variable payment options are nice. But how about a fare machine or system that also allows you to pay only for your ddestination, rather than a flat fare of $2.50 [or eventually $3.00?] when you're only going a few blocks or maybe a couple of stops down the line? Sounds very neighborly to me. Security: Yes, even though this might be an area of concern for Gen. Mgr. Mike Wiley, that calls for funds and manpower. But considering the homicides that have occured on the train, a trip after dark, through certain areas can feel a bit spooky when there are criminally or mentally ill people doing any and everything on board. This really should get more attention. Questions: Why did they decide to end the Watt/80 route at Watt Avenue, when there is essentially nothing there like any shopping centers, to make it a resonable destination? And speaking of shopping centers, why does the said train avoid the Arden Fair Mall? Why does the northbound Watt/80 train stop on the right side of the Alkali Flat Station, but opens its left side doors so you step off right into a wheelchair ramp gaurd rail, while there is plenty of room to deboard on the right, where there is a curb and sidewalk? Why was another station created at 7th and K less than a block north of the 7th and Capitol station? Why was not the Sac Valley Amtrak line originally designated to later become the Airport Service line. It could have just continued northbound on 8th Street and assumed the Township 9 route at G Street, with line 34 intersecting at F Street to provide an Amtrak Station Shuttle.

The only good thing about any of the Light Rail stations is that they have those free newspaper…read morestands that provide you with free toilet paper if you have to take a dump in one of the nearby bushes.
