She justified everything as normal, but agreed to prescribe me some heartburn medication since none of the OTC things were working, and mine was so bad that I couldn't even lay down without intense burning. She was empathetic when I ended up with a PUPPS rash, and gave me suggestions of things I could do to ease the discomfort. Since I had a scheduled c-section, she gave me several dates to choose from, which was nice. Postnatal care: This is where I have issues. The MFM had me on baby asprin since week 20, and I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication, but I was never informed that I needed to stop taking it prior to surgery. That being said, I ended up with pretty bad postpartum hemorrhaging that could have been easily avoided. I will say, I do like that she made my incision super low so it's not visible even with bikini-style underwear. She also put "everything" back well, so my abdomen looks defined at times because of how she placed everything. The nurses are the reason I skipped my 6 month postpartum checkup. I don't remember their names, but one of them was super rude to me when I called about my postpartum hemorrhaging. I even remember one of them being sassy when I would call in for questions while I was pregnant. It's also alarming that I skipped the appt, and no one ever called to check up. As bad as this sounds, I still haven't gotten checked out, but I plan on finding a different OB/Gyn and getting a very overdue postpartum check. Nurses make a huge difference in how the patient feels about a practice, and I have to dock off a star because of their service.

I understand doctors are busy but in that setting I am a customer so I don't care how busy you are. For example, I asked her to check a few things once she walks into the room and she does not remember to check until I remind her again before she walks out. She does not take her time to chat with you and see how you truly are doing (I especially value this because I am a first time mom and I am anxious and nervous about everything.) 2) Office staffs are not friendly but they seem to improve a bit after I sent a complaint to the main office. They are not patient in answering your questions and of course I had to deal with them on wrong billings. 3) Although I have never met Dr. Wong's nurse Rebecca, I already dislike her due to her phone etiquette. She makes you sound dumb and has attitude when talking to you. In summary, if you are looking for a passionate and personal OB/GYN, unfortunately I would not recommend Dr. Wong even though she receives good rating from the majority reviews.

With that said, based on my delivery with Dr. Swords, I would choose Dr. Swords time and time again even over my previous Ob/Gyn who I thought could not be beat. I made an appt some time later and when I got there, after waiting about 30 minutes the lady at the front desk called me over to tell me I had a balance. I told her that it is not possible because I had not been to the DR for several months and I paid the bill they sent me in July. She was all confused and asked me to sit. Fifteen minutes later she calls me again and explains that the problem is that Dr. Nguyen does not take my insurance, the doctor that runs the practice does. I told her I had checked with them several months before and was told she did. Then she went to ask Dr.Nguyen to see what she thought and it seems that she told her that I would have to pay as an uninsured person?? I told her NO. I have insurance and will not pay out of pocket to see her. I was not seen that day and the lady said she would call me back to let me know what they could resolve. She never called me. I called back a week later and was transferred to someone named Stephanie (who supposedly deals with insurance), left her a message and she still hasnt called me back. I am through with this office. I will just find a different gynecologist. I'm still a little pissed that they gave me wrong information but never took responsibility it. Now I'm the one that has to pay (literally) for their mistakes. Gave her two stars because although service sucked Dr. Nguyen's nurse is really sweet and kind of makes up for the Dr's lack of empathy. I really have experienced better.

Thanks to Yelp, I found Dr. Nguyen and she is a great doctor, and very personable. Went in for my annual exam and I appreciated the fact that she came in the exam room and talk to me before my exam. It was nice to chat with her for a minute about medical history, etc. I only waited about 10 minutes before the nurse called me back, which I really don't consider "waiting" since I was completing paperwork. Office staff was friendly and her nurse was great too! I'm definitely relieved to have found a new doctor in my new city.

Told me I had herpes, embarrassingly I walked around telling everyone that in their staff anytime I had an issue down there, I told my husband the pharmacy what I needed... for all 3 SWABS to be negative every time. I got put on valacyclovir for thr pharmacy to tell me its actually a kidney killer and to stop immediately, which my back has been killing me lately. I went on 4/8 got cleared after surgery again and then tried having.sex on 4/9 then ended up with microtears, I'm assuming due to hormonal issues after my hysterectomy which I've been telling them I need a progesterone or estrogen for awhile now. Which states on your site you specialize in HRT. but clearly not. Because anyone who has a hysterectomy you'd think is common sense to do blood work and hormone levels check months after? But no. I guess not. So then after I've repeatedly asked for an estrogen/progesterone they prescribed me a birth control which isn't what I wanted and my pharmacist called and said I asked for the two separate and they wouldn't speak to him. (Atleast they answered his call) they won't answer me. Unless i.block my number. How professional of a business. Right? But I guess once u meet ur deductible and they get paid, who cares right? I mean the dr says i have internal bleeding and they dont know where and still has yet to do anything about it.
