Mirza qassemi ($7.99)
Jonny M.

We were looking to try a Persian place after a light hike and settled on Sadra Restaurant. This used to be Zeitoon Restaurant (no idea why they closed down). We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 2:00pm). Service was okay. They came by to refill our waters when we asked. Menu mainly consists of kabobs (beef, chicken, lamb chops, seafood and vegetables), lamb shank and a couple stews. They have platters to share (for groups of 2, 4 and 6) but they're pricey. - 3x Shirazi salad ($7.99) - good acidity but such a tiny portion. Not worth the price point. - Hommus ($7.99) - decent sized portion but it could have used more bread. Hommus was standard fare. - Mirza qassemi ($7.99) - smoked eggplant. Our waitress suggested this dish and it was my favourite out of everything we ate. Smooth, satisfying texture with a nice charred flavour. A must get! - Platter for 4 ($87.99) - 3 koobieh skewers, 1 barg, 2 chicken skewers, 4 lamb chops and 4 servings of rice. The platter also came with charred tomatoes and a small side of onion parsley. This was the best way for our group of 6 to sample a variety of meats. The barg (top sirloin steak) and koobieh (ground beef) were excellent. The chicken was surprisingly moist but the lamb chops were slightly overdone. The four servings of rice were too much but that's the norm at most Persian spots. Decent eats at Sadra but come with a group. 3.5 stars.

Delicious food and wonderful service, will definitely come back on our next trip. THANKS!

Great food and service! We ordered lamb soltani and soltani, both plates were great with a good amount of food. I loved the rice especially the tahdig that comes on top. Service was excellent too, will definitely go back. I'm craving some kebob as I'm writing this.

I had hair in my food and I had to argue for refund. The servers said chef is not here we have to charge you. I was scared when the manager was angry asking me whats the problem. It's a nice restaurant with nice food if they could be more clean and better customer service.

Koobide with Sangak

Service was friendly and fast, loved the Koobide, presentation is really good, the Dolme was also so good but mostly rice, not traditional dolme, its called Sarma which is made with Sticky sour rice. The only thing was the tahdig was little bit chewy and not so fresh. Highly recommend. Kabab was really delicious

My receipt, he even gave a us a discount as we came from Burnaby !!!!! What a great place

**Will not honour valid gift cards**…read more Have been a customer for many years. Recently, found some gift cards I purchased awhile back and went with my boyfriend for lunch at the Cazba Davie location to redeem the gift cards on December 29, 2025. Long story short, they refused to honour the gift cards because they "changed their computer system" and said the gift cards therefore expire and cannot be used. I told them that the terms and conditions of the gift card literally states to use the gift card like "cash" and according to BC laws that gift cards are not allowed to be expired unless in very specific circumstances, which does not include a system change. Eventually, their general manager, Mr. Behruz Sigari, spoke to me on the phone and promised that he would call Moneris to find out my gift card balance and then contact me with a resolution soon. I left with his email (b.sigari@gmail.com) and emailed him twice but he has never replied. Clearly, they are willing to engaged in unethical and illegal business practices stealing funds from customers even when educated about gift card laws. I have since reported them to Consumer Protection BC and will never be a customer of their's for their lies and horrible treatment. Lesson learned: always use your gift cards as soon as you can.

Insanely tasty happy hour!…read more We were staying across the street at The Sandman and wandered into The Cazba for an early dinner. It turned out to be the meal of the trip. We started with Kashke Bademjan - an insanely delicious eggplant dip served with Barbari (a leavened flatbread) and Shashlik (mini lamb chops), and followed by Mini Loghmeh (minced beef/lamb kebab). We also had Koobideh wraps (kebabs, onions, & spices in lavash wraps) which we took back to the room b/c there was so much food! Many "yummy noises" were made during this meal! Truely a culinary delight. Service was friendly and attentive.

Inside the vibe is very cozy, with warm lighting and welcoming staff. They offered us chai tea samples while we waited to be seated. The food was incredibly flavorful, and the menu has a large variety of small dishes you can mix and match, so you're able to try a good amount of different foods. Overall a very delicious meal.

We were greeted with a warm embrace and a comforting welcome drink of chai tea paired with delicious finger foods. The Dine-Out menu was impressively extensive. While we initially struggled to choose just one salad, one soup, one cold mezze, and three mains, we were thrilled to learn it functioned like a Mediterranean All You Can Eat--allowing us to order more dishes as we went. We felt like kids in a candy store, eager to explore the vibrant, exotic flavours. The mango-infused dishes were a standout! The service was impeccable. One server even followed us outside just to hand us cardamom cookies for the road. Many restaurants treat Dine Out as a budget-set menu, but East is East used it to truly showcase their best work. We left with new favorites and a plan to return very soon.
