I love this school, but their financial aid department is horrible. They are catty and incompetent. I've had too many issues with the financial aid department and this was the last straw. I was calling about my student refund check since last week. My refund check has been there since the 31st and when I called this lady did not attempt to look to see if I had a refund check she just simply in a rude tone asked if I received a text message stating that I had a refund check there so my refund check was there and no one sent me a text message and I had to go in the office physically and ask for it and I was only helped by a new employee. This is not the first issue. I've had with the financial aid office and I'm honestly tired of it and I'm ready to graduate because they are very rude and nasty towards me and they do not help me with any issues that I may have while I can say that one of them never helps me so I avoid going to one of them because every time I go to her, she never tells me the correct information and she does not help me read more

Thought I'd let everyone know how ghetto this school is I'm so over it I'm currently at the front door of the school my class starts at 9 and I'm here at 8:20 and I'm not allowed in by security until 8:30 yes this is supposed to be a school also finance sucks here they have an attitude and the campus director quit during my term as well. Doesn't feel like school at all just something to take your time and money. I'm fed up making this post I can't lie because I'm sitting outside in the cold only because I want to work on something before class starts. If you ask your self why I couldn't have done the work at home, because the software (adobe/protools etc) we use is only for school we don't have subscriptions outside of class. I completely dodged a bullet by avoiding this predatory higher learning lending financial leach. I was completely disgusted by the lack of transparency all the way up until the first day of class where our schedules were not provided or given ample time to prepare you for. Secondly the BIGGEST shockers in the whole charade of this schools system were the amount of typos and large grammatical errors in documents and "infomercial" paperwork you are first given that make it plain 'n simple that they just don't care to mask the deception and suck you for all your student loans. This is not the first art/music school that I have fallen victim to that uses "Predatory Lending" so I was not about to let it happen to me again. Thirdly ; for a music school to not have any instruments outside of a couple drum sets inside the actual recording studio lacks basic fundamentals for musicality. So do yourself a favor and do not waste your time going here paying $23,000 for a YouTube degree in school with "fancy" mixing boards. Honestly I stepped into this program with high hopes that it would be something special. Thinking that I would attain some mentorship and get hands on training in context. But I was wrong. Instructors really don't care. It seems like they're just going through the motions. The consoles and onboarding gear don't work with my own equipment when patching in. On top of that if you do use only there gear the cpu ends up being too slow or someone improperly used it before you. Leaving you wasting studio time fixing a problem that was never your fault. I don't understand how this institution gets 30k per person and it's this poorly organized and unkept. The curriculum is all over the place. Even the instructors themselves don't like it. For anyone looking to come here with the same positive mindset that I originally had for this place. Keep learning on youtube. What they show you versus what you get here at this school are two totally different energies. The statement "it is what you make it " is honestly overrated here. Especially after reading their past reviews the problems are still the same. Don't let the fancy cosmetics and "nice" studios fool you. As a student, I will say you will get out of it what you put into it. Like most things. The management here is TERRIBLE, students didn't receive class schedules until WEEKS after classes have started. They are extremely unprepared when it comes to management and getting out information to students. Administration is usually unavailable when you need them and when you do get to them they have bad attitude with students. It makes most of the students feels as if they don't want to help them. And if you are a female considering coming to this school, be prepared to be treated less than your male peers. Almost if not all the engineering teachers are all males, and will only address mainly the male students. When they bring in professional to speak to the students it's only male professionals I have never seen a female producer or engineer be brought into this school. When you are in the studio most of the guys will choose to not listen to the girls, most of the girls that attend this school feel over look. I couldn't deal with them at all. For $30k, they are very unorganized, and there's a lack of polish with just about everything. I'm very glad I chose not to go here in the end! It would've felt like I was paying for absolutely nothing. Staff does not call back, does not email back, and does not respond to voicemails. Would you want to give someone $30k of your money/loans and they pretend like you don't exist half the time? Only time they finally emailed me or got back to me was about my financial paperwork.
