I recently completed the CNA course at Covenant CNA School. While my instructors were excellent and made the learning experience positive, my experience with the school's owner, Mr. David, was very disappointing. Both instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely cared about student success. Unfortunately, they were forced to quit on the final day of class because Mr. David had failed to pay them on multiple occasions dating back to last year and continuing throughout our course. Our class began with 29 students and finished with 27. At $765 per student, that totals over $20,000 in revenue, yet the instructors reportedly were not paid their fair share. The class was also overcrowded, making it difficult for students to properly practice hands-on CNA skills and receive adequate individual instruction. Do not be misled by the lower price or weekend schedule. Professional management and reliability are essential when you are paying for certification required for employment. After completing the course, my CNA certificate contained errors, including my name being misspelled and the wrong graduation year listed (2025 instead of 2026). Mr. David instructed me to come to the school on Sunday at 3 PM and stated he would bring his notary stamp to correct the issue. I arrived on February 22 as instructed, but the school was closed with no notice or communication. A new cohort was reportedly scheduled to begin February 21, yet it appeared no replacement instructor had been secured. Additionally, a coworker interested in enrolling had significant difficulty reaching Mr. David by phone or email just to obtain an application. Please do not rely solely on five-star reviews when making your decision. Based on my experience, I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this school. The teachers are great and they take their commitment to training students in healthcare serious. Covenant hands down is a wonderful program. Their slogan should be " We Make Dreams Come True", because mine is coming true before 2018 ends. I have always wanted to be a nurse or somewhere in that capacity and now I have that chance. The instructor is goal driven and teaches with a passion that I have never seen. She teaches so that you will succeed in the medical field and pushes you to strive for more if that's what you want. They have given me a head start in this race and there's no turning back. Covenant CNA school is amazing due to the incredible people working there. They try to help you find jobs, give you tips about the interview process, as well as assisting you in creating your resume. The school is known to have connections with Emory and if you are a hardworking student you will have the opportunity to attend advanced clinicals, which will get you into Emory (if they see your dedication). Ms. Green is the sweetest lady and she helps you understand the material covered in class (the material itself is not that hard). You will be well prepared for the states exam! I have attended Covenant for my CNA Certification and I have now started the PCT course. Pricing is upfront and they let you know what is and is not covered. If you did not get these answers then you did not ask the right questions. I have had nothing but success thus far. And Ms. Mottley has been a great help in obtaining a position in Emory. For those that say they did not get a position or help to get a position need to ask themselves what they did or did not do to get the opportunity that my entire class was offered. If you are looking to start a career path in healthcare, I recommend this school just for you. The staff is wonderful. They include BLS (Basic Life support) certification Classes, CNA Classes, and PCT Classes. I attended the weekend classes at the end of 2018 for the CNA course. Mrs.Motley was my instructor for the class that I attended, she taught everything that I needed to know as a CNA. Both knowledge and skills needed to take the State exam. I just graduated covenant CNA's most recent class and I loved it. They are like a family in that the teachers give everything in them to you and for you. and in return they expect you to do the same. They are not just there for you academically, if you're willing to do your best there's nothing they won't do for you to make sure you graduate and obtain your certification. Not only was this school exciting and very hands on, it was extremely informative and helpful to jumpstart my medical career. Covenant CNA currently only has one location and i wish another facility was located closer to metro atlanta but the drive is worth the experience and the certification.
