I had a frustrating experience with the pest control service today. Despite a "No Parking, Active Driveway" sign, the servicer parked behind my garage and a neighbor's garage, blocking us in. When I asked how long he planned on being parked there, he said 15-30 minutes. He offered to back up to let me out, but it's a narrow garage alley, so I decided to readjust instead. I then asked if he had seen the sign when he parked, and he got a bit of an attitude about potentially moving his car. I wouldn't mind someone parking there if we were given a heads-up, but my time is just as valuable as his. It's frustrating to be blocked in despite the signage. I also recognize this is an issue with my neighbor, who suggested or allowed it too. They would not just process our cancellation when we called. Instead, we were told we had to wait until after our last service was provided and then call back again. When we did call back, it still wasn't simple. We were transferred between multiple people, repeating ourselves over and over, just to get the account closed. It felt like they were doing everything possible to make the process as drawn-out and frustrating as they could. Had a d2d salesman come to my home. I've been thinking about switching pest control companies so I let him give me his pitch. After a few minutes of his fast talk and sales pitches I got on my phone and saw the negative reviews and told him no thanks. He continued the high pressure sales and refused to leave until I walked inside and shut the door on him. The real thing that bothers me is that I looked up some of his claims afterwards and many were outright lies. He claimed they were a locally owned family business. As someone who values doing business locally, having this be used as a pitch when it's a lie is really frustrating and pushed me to leave a review. He also said they have "amazing reviews online" and showed me some site quickly, saying he would "save me some time" by doing it himself. Sebastian, a young salesman on a Segway, came to our door. After parking his Segway in our bushes he gave his pitch over our ring camera system when we answered. Sounded very rehearsed, and when we realized what he was saying, we tried to politely decline, but that's when he asked us who we were currently using. Again, we said no thank you. Then he wanted to talk some more and we asked him to leave. He paused, and then eventually left. 2 hours later he's in our driveway again. It's private property, there are signs indicating it. Please respect that. This act alone guarantees we will never use this service. According to the rest of Yelp, you have overly aggressive sales tactics and we want none of it please. Edit-a different young man, on a similar Segway came to our house with the same aggressive sales tactic and refused to leave when I said we were happy with our current service of ten years and said a polite no thank you. At the end I wanted to make sure they stopped coming to service my property so I called and after I told the guy that I did not want their services anymore he said the phone line was bad and hung up on me. I went out of town and sure enough they went to my house and did their thing and charged my credit card. I am working with my credit card company to get the charge reversed and an going to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office for fraud. I hope anyone that reads this and had a similar experience will contact the Attorney General also. It's the only way to deal with bad companies like this. read more

A hole came to my neighborhood, knocking on everybody's doors soliciting for service. Literally knocked on my door three separate times even with my dog going berserk inside. Had the balls to come back three hours later and do the same thing again. On the fourth occasion, I confronted the individual as to why he keeps returning to my house he said "oh I just wanted to tell you you better shut your windows because I'm bug bombing your neighbors house tomorrow." Firstly no, I do not need to shut my windows, even if you were going to conduct pest control that should not create a health hazard for surrounding neighbors. Is there a 0 star review for the way they deal with the customers then I would give this company and their services a 0 star. I spoke to a "Manager" Christian who refused to share his last name. He refused to give me a refund for the service that was canceled in July 2025. I had requested to terminate the subscription in July. They confirmed of doing so but guess what there is a "protocol" that without talking to the "Manager" they cannot cancel the subscription which the officer at the time conveniently forgot to share. They went ahead and serviced in August without my permission and charged me for it. The reason for cancellation in the first place was the ineffectiveness of the job they were doing. Now, I would never ever work with them because they lied about cancelling the services, refused to refund, and Christian the Manager refused to share any information about his Supervisor because he is "the manager" and their protocol dedicates that only he will take all the actions. Saela's pest control service has been, at best, inconsistent. The Technician, to address continuing ant issues, put a gel that the ants would eat, take back to the nest and kill the queen. All the gel accomplished was to harden and prove difficult to remove without damaging the baseboards. Spraying outside was also ineffective, inspite of showing the Technician the locations of the ground and paths the ants were using to enter our home. I retained another firm - and the ants are nearly gone. Attempting to cancel the service - good luck. Two calls, offshore support is unable to cancel as a manager needs to call back (down to only two managers and they have substantial backlog - I bet they do,). So far no return call. Well, I just had a visit from an aggressive salesman on a Segway. I opened the door, he pointed out his name badge, and said they have a bunch of trucks in our neighborhood. Ok, so? Then he wanted me to tell him the name of our current pest management company. Hmm. Cutthroat much? That gave me pause, but I just thanked him for stopping by and moved the door slightly. That seemed to throw him but he recovered and stepped back so I could shut the door. I had a weird feeling and I am glad I didn't bite. I had been with Saela/Edge for 5 years. Meaning I have had a lot of experiences through the years that let me to cancelling them and leaving this review. Most recently, we had them come out and look to because we heard a noise in our crawl space. They came by and said that we needed a complete crawlspace clean out. They told me that we had a huge rat problem and quoted me 5k for this service. This news was frustrating because we have the rat/rodent upgrade service. The problem is, that Saela would send techs out in the middle of the day to check our house. Nobody was home so they just checked the exterior. This is fine if there is no rodent issues under the surface. They would always say everything is fine and be on their way. I told the tech about this and that they always say everything is okay. The tech said that it does appear that way from the outside but showed us photos of how the rats were getting in. He made sure to point out that and vent covers that Saela put in were not the entry points for the rodents, it was the others. This was super stressful as we have had rodent issues before, as edge is well aware of. I reached out to another pest control company to get a second opinion. They went in our crawlspace and around the parimeter of our home. The tech for the new pest company said that Saela was trying to blow this issue out of perportion and that many of the photos Saela provided were of the same area just different angles. He said there was some rodent activity but he would rank it a 2/10 on pest issues. He told me a lot of corporate pest companies try to book these crawlspace cleanouts because the tech gets a commission. I called to cancel with Saela a few days later. They said that I was already out of contract so no need. I told them that this is weird because I just had their tech out to my house. They assured me I didn't have an active account with them. A few days after this, I was reviewing my back accounts and noticed that Saela auto bills me every other month $170. I then called to cancel again. After 10 minutes I was able to get ahold of someone who was actually able to cancel my account and confirm no more auto payments. Bottom line: I have been with them for 5 years and super dissapointed that they tried to shake me down. As if $170/ every two months wasn't enough. You would think they would also take some sort of ownership if there is a "major" rat issue in your crawlspace and you have a rat preventative service with them. They eventually lost out on a longtime customer. I advise you to avoid. read more

I have been needing to cancel my services with them due to health issues and every time I try to cancel I'm told I need to pay off my contract. First, I was never told this in the beginning and I was never aware that it was a one year contract. I was told my services were monthly when I pay and that canceling wouldn't be a problem. My Mother used Saela for a couple of years, she had a great experience with the tech each time he came out, no bugs, very friendly and helpful. It was set up as a pay as you go. That changed when the sales part of this company got involved and was pushing a years long contract with auto pay. At this point my Mother just wanted to cancel everything. It was impossible to talk to someone to politely let them know we no longer needed them to come out. We were transferred to different people and offered specials with each call transfer... we never got to talk to anyone to let them know we appreciated the past work but no longer needed anyone to come out anymore. Fast forward 2 months, my Mother gets a call from them letting her know that a tech will be out today for the late summer treatment. My Mother (who is old school, and doesn't want to inconvenience the tech) tries to call and cancle, to not have a tech come out for nothing, she has been on hold for 45 minutes after being transfered a couple of times. I told her to not worry about it, that's just one of their sales techniques. I am so glad they never got her credit card info. One employee was told by many of us that it's a private neighborhood and no soliciting or trespassing. Worse than Comcast Buyer Beware! We had an outdoor rat problem last summer and hired Edge for that. They treated the problem by placing bait boxes around the house, which is what any pest control service would do. As far as we can tell, and we have no way of proving it, the rats are gone for now, so that worked. I'm not crediting them for that because literally every other pest control service would do the exact same thing, probably using the exact same product. We can do it ourselves going forward. The problems showed up when the initial visit included a hard sell for quarterly pest service, a promise of a "great deal." Quarterly actually turns out to be 5 visits, not 4, so there's a handy redefinition of the term "quarterly" right there. Having lived in the house for 13 years, we are familiar with the flora and fauna, including insects. We have plenty of them outside and very few inside, including a plethora of spiders. EDGE treated the house and perimeter for the flying and crawling insects three times before we canceled the service contract. After the first treatment, we noticed no difference at all in insect life. After the second treatment, we mentioned that the first was ineffective, and the technician asked that we give it a few weeks. One month later, insect life was thriving happily on our property as it always does, including thousands of spiders. The third visit, I had the same conversation, the same wait-and-see response and the same result. The fourth "quarterly" visit was canceled, whereupon I was charged a cancellation fee of half the remaining contract, equal to two visits, since, remember, quarterly means five visits. I should not have taken the bait myself and contracted for quarterly service, but it was presented as a good adjunct to the initial rat treatment. I was under the impression from the start that they were simply going to check the bait boxes every three months, but a simple measure to abate rodents ended up costing over $800. Don't believe Angie's List on these guys. Yelp is far more accurate. If you have a pest problem, stay away from these big companies who just want to sell you the most service they can and then stick you with contracts and fees that only have their bottom line in mind. They are not about providing the best service. They are all about making you pay. read more

During the sign up, I was told by Husam that I will get a free attic inspection and a crawl space inspection; however, Thomas told me it will be just a peek from the entry, which even I do once a year. Also, I have cameras 360 degrees recording 24/7 and I saw the treatment was not applied on the exterior everywhere - a lot of areas skipped. Finally, today I did an inspection near the backyard door, I see spider nets and other pest's nest on the wall next to the doors. Overall, I am not happy and I feel cheated by Saela.
