The pick-up is so quick and easy - just order online, pop-in, and grab your order off the shelves to the left of the entry door. You can't go wrong with the food here from girl breakfast, to the plain + simple breakfast sandwich, to the pepperjack burrito, to the market bowl, lunch menu and their many many mouthwatering pastries. And don't forget about the coffee! They have both real mugs and to-go cups. I love their regular drip coffee, cold brew, cappuccinos and lattes. The cafe's interior design is modern, chic and comfortable with a mix of booth and table seating. I can usually find a seat for 2-4 people, groups larger than that may have a hard time finding a seat during peak times like weekend mornings. Seasonally, McLain's offers outdoor seating, too. Best of all, the staff makes you feel right at home - welcoming, friendly, helpful, hardworking and clean. Parking is angled street parking out front. Sometimes I have to walk a bit but never more than a block. Just writing this has me craving McLain's already.

With a wide variety of pastries, hot food, and coffee drinks you're sure to find something! The staff is very friendly and accommodating to any questions you may have about the menu. This is a frequent stop for me and never fails to meet or exceed my expectations. Today's simple visit consisted of bottomless drip coffee and a chocolate chip cookie while getting some bright natural light to read my current book!

We checked this place out for the first time using the Too Good to Go app. You get what you get,…read moreand we got a small container of chocolate gelato for $3.99, which didn't seem like a very good deal and sucked because I don't like chocolate ice cream. The hubs will try it later... We also got two little cakes, strawberry and chocolate. The strawberry was very good and the chocolate was ok. Love removing in the outside. We also got a little blueberry bar and it was yummy. Staff was not super friendly and prices are a bit high for the small sizes.

Wally's Pastry Shop holds a very special place in my heart. Wally was a good friend of my father,…read moreand that alone tells you the kind of man he was--kind, generous, and deeply rooted in his community. In 1991, Wally made my wedding cake as a gift, and it's something I will never forget. Not just because the cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious (it was!), but because it was made with love. That's what sets Wally's apart--you can feel the heart behind everything that comes out of that kitchen. The pastries are classic, fresh, and timeless. Nothing trendy or overdone--just perfectly executed desserts that remind you why bakeries like this matter. The flavors are authentic, the quality is consistent, and every bite feels like a tradition being honored. The addition of Gelato brings me straight back to Italy! Wally's isn't just a pastry shop; it's a piece of history, a reminder of a time when relationships mattered and food was made with care. I'm grateful for the memories, the kindness, and the incredible desserts that have been part of my life for decades. I miss hearing all of Wally's stories, as a pastry chef making hearts like Sinatra, and many Presidents happy! He loved what he did! If you're lucky enough to enjoy Wally's, know that you're tasting more than pastry--you're tasting legacy.

I was super impressed with the quality and amount of berries in the fruit bowl, and the burrito was packed with the right amount of crisp to it and a delicious salsa on the side. What I love about this location is you can get something super quick to go (an Aussie Pie or Sausage Roll for example) or something fast casual to eat a quick meal . Their hours are targeted for Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch. It's very Aussie influenced with sections Breakfast, Lunch and Hotbox. I ordered off the lunch menu and got the Cuban Confit Pork sandwich and my partner got the Chicken Banh Mi. We split a bag of chips and walked out for a little less than $40 with tip. The service was friendly and "order at the counter." The worker was quick to give suggestions and a layout of the menu. My Cuban sandwich was awesome and had a little bit of a Chinese Five Spice kinda vibe. Unexpected but pleasant. There are so many other things I want to try when I go back!
