The manager who lives on site Debbie is as annoying as anybody can get. She gets in everybody's business who owns boat in slip there. Last thing a boater wants in the manager getting in your business. I had two boats there and decided to move them due to Debbie. No idea how she got a job as the head of a marina, she knows nothing about boats lol. Up down left right port starboard. We just got a slip at this marina. My boyfriend had been over here prior to Sage Harbor taking it over and he's so impressed with all of the upgrades and improvements. Debbie and Nancy in the office are absolutely fantastic! They were so helpful with all our paperwork and instantly made us feel welcome! The people at the deli are absolutely the nicest people I've met in a long while! They made my little girl's day by giving her a lollipop while we waited for our food and they were all just so kind and helpful. Very happy our family is here at this marina with our boat! read more

Cabrillo Isle Mariana is on Harbor Island near the Sheraton Hotel. The marina is gated to help keep parking for residents only and increase safety. There is a wide access for pedestrians between the parking lot and the marina. The docks are gated preventing non-residents access to the docks. The staff are professional and, yet,extremely nice, giving the marina have a warm, friendly feeling. They really go out of their way for you. They have nice comfy chairs, sailing magazines and important pamphlets on boating and safety. They also have a book of local boat maintenance and related workers. The docks are concrete with large fairways between making access easy. Each slip has a nice dock box and pedestal with water and electricity. I definitely recommend Cabrillo Isle Marina. It would be a great place to keep your boat. read more

Worst marina I have ever visited. I used boats out of this marina roughly 20 times in the last 6 months. So called "Dock master" middle aged female with bright PURPLE hair is definitely strung out on drugs. Most unprofessional paid employee I have ever met screaming at visitors to the dock while dropping her Marijuana vape pen. Is it legal to use MJ on the job as a dock master??? Highly recommend having her tested due to extremely erratic behavior while on the job. Limited interactions with the other marina staff included being scolded for placing trash in a trash receptacle??? Extremely rude and unprofessional. We had $2500 worth of fishing equipment stolen from inside this locked dock earlier this year with ZERO effort from dock staff to recover stolen items. Parking is frequently not available and very expensive. Very disturbing to have the person in charge of docks with millions of dollars of boats to be working high as a kite! read more

Being new to the marina world I am happy to have chosen Cabrillo Isle Marina. I have been in slip for 2 years now. When I purchased my boat it was slipped here but my plan was to move closer to home. I just could not do it. The facilities are well kept, slip neighbors great, activities and use of neiboring facilities have been fun for the family. This review is long overdue. It's been over a year since we moved our boat from a not so friendly marina in Shelter Island and we are so glad we did. This is the best marina in San Diego!! Location is everything, easily accessible, secured parking and locked gates around the docks. We love the management & staff. Debbie, Sharron and the staff make the experience awesome. They are all helpful, friendly and very accommodating. And as a bonus, they host some amazing events as an appreciation to there members. They really do care about you and your boat. The staff is unhelpful. They change the conditions of their contract, there is no parking for visitors and the new manager is dismissive.

Marina billed me for two slips when I only had one boat. The manager makes you feel unwelcome when you are visiting your boat. There is no guest parking and you are encouraged to not use the two parking permits that you are issued. Not the type of service that you would expect from what is possibly the most expensive marina in town. read more

This marina is ship shape. It is very clean, quiet, and run by professionals. The showers and restrooms are always clean and are checked by security often especially in the evenings. The entire facility is under surveillance by great security guards who take their jobs seriously. The garden crew keep the place looking fabulous. They also wash and scrub the docks to keep those clean. The docks here are solid as a rock and appear to have been recently built to the highest standard available. I love that the end of docks have trash collection and recycling containers. This is above and beyond what most marina's offer. The manager Ms. Lutz, provides clear & consistent boundaries for her tenants. She is well respected for doing an outstanding job as marina manager. The on site deli owners greet you with smiles and treat you like royalty. I look forward to returning often. I highly recommend this marina for all of your boating needs. Annie M. read more

Debbie, Sharron, Celine and Jeffrey are hands-down wonderful to interact with. The entire complex is well managed, clean, and up-to-date. We are not new to either boating or marinas, and Cabrillo Isle is in the top two percent with us (difficult to compete with Paradise Island, Bahamas LOL!). Great job by Captain Chris , Greg and Tianna to make our twin 16 year old boys surprise birthday with their friends a huge success! We chartered a 60' Hatteras for a 4 hour cruise plus swimming in San Diego Bay and it was a huge hit! Boys had a great time and Capt Chris and crew helped with the surprise element . I can't say enough good things about the management and office staff here at this marina. I am new to the area and new to boat ownership and I took time to visit every marina from downtown to Mission Bay, there is absolutely no question that the office staff here was the friendliest and most helpful. I've had curve balls and obstacles thrown at me from every direction and felt about ready to leave San Diego but then I walked in to the office at Cabrillo. I was greeted by Lindsey, the sweetest person ever, she had me complete the application and we worked together to have a complete package of everything needed to turn into Sharron Bolden. I had purchased a boat and needed a slip as soon as possible, and Sharron went above and beyond to find me a slip by the next morning! Then, one more curve ball...it turns out the information on my survey had the width wrong so my 40' boat didn't fit in the slip I was originally assigned, but Sharron called me right away and was able to put me in a 45' until a wider 40' opens up. Also, hats off to Lindsey as well, without her help, kindness and friendly advice, I may not have even had the chance to meet Sharron. I just can't thank you girls enough, seriously! It has been refreshing to find a marina staff that understands this is the hospitality industry and customers should be treated accordingly. It is with gratitude to Kate Pearson of Safe Harbors and Debbie Davis at Cabrillo Isle Marina that I wish to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for their attention to our needs aboard the MV Check Out Time. We were on a mission to return to San Diego from our round trip experience to the Caribbean. Slip space was difficult to secure and Kate came through for us with a slip at Cabrillo Isle Marina. We were well received upon our arrival and every effort was made to see that we had adequate 100 amp service and were comfortable with the end tie arrangement. All staff and dockside personnel were up and running daily and the Marina was always tidy and well organized. The Deli was an awesome bonus and their attentive service and fine product are much appreciated.
