I can only review the Marina based upon filling up for gas, concessions, and restroom access. As far as gas, well gas for boats is, naturally, pricey and it cost around $97 to fill up slightly more than 3/4 of the tank. It is self-service and then you can pay inside once you are done pumping. They have about 3 or 4 slips available to dock for gas. Concessions here are very limited. Unlike some marinas, there is no sit-down food option. The only food options here are ice cream bars and bags of chips. There are cold drinks (water, soda, gatorade) and a minimal selection of cold beer to take with you. They sell some merchandise and also some fishing accessories. The bathrooms are relatively clean (single-stall) and located inside. If you just need a quick pit-stop, there is nothing wrong with Long Island Marina!

I called to request a quote to fix 2 props. The person who answered the phone provided me a…read moreballpark quote and said that they offered a service to pickup the props at my marina in Cornelius. I received a phone call a few days later informing the day of pickup so I drove to the marina and left the props at the office. A few weeks go by and I receive an email from the marina repair shop saying my props were back and that I owed them a lot more than quoted. The marina shop obviously was marking it up as if it was them sending the props for service. I called US Propeller Service and whomever answered the phone said that they don't service directly to customers and only the marinas. It is a bait and switch, beware of this shop. I am now paying a lot more than needed and the marina shop did absolutely nothing.

Two times we have taken propellers here for repair. Our marina even uses them. They do a perfect…read morejob and are so affordable. Our repair for our stainless steel prop was only $75 and was done in one day! Their building is far from fancy but their work is stellar. They also had some adorable labs inside that you can't resist petting! Thanks guys we will be back if we ever need prop service.
