We waited about 30-40 minutes to have our fish cleaned, scaled, and filleted. The crew member handling the fish knew we were next. However, another crew member brought over a much larger bucket of fish belonging to "Ryan" and asked that his be done. The person cleaning the fish looked at me, apologized, and said, "You're next," but proceeded to do Ryan's fish first. After finishing Ryan's fish, he actually asked AGAIN who was next, and I immediately spoke up. Only then did he say, "Oh yeah, you're next." Waiting wasn't the problem. We patiently waited our turn. The problem was being knowingly skipped and then nearly overlooked a second time. A first-come, first-served process should apply equally to everyone. It was an unfortunate ending to what had otherwise been a really enjoyable day. I think the saddest part about this situation is that even though the service was free, my cousin and I were prepared and willing to give a nice healthy tip. Couldn't bare to tip after that experience. I can't reward unprofessionalism. It's great that it's family owned but there still should be standards put in place. Not only that, but I think they should have a limit of participants. Everyone is on top of each other where the fishing lines kept crossing and getting tangled. And the kids on the boat needed more supervision from their parents/caretakers. I witnessed a few patrons becoming extremely irritated with having to speak up to the kids about running back and forth. It's extremely dangerous when you're out at sea. I could have easily seen one of these children accidentally going overboard.

I immediately spoke with the member service specialist, asking whether it's possible to get a partial refund or credit towards next season. I was told management needed to sign off on this but "it's looking good". After repeated followups, I was told in mid-July that nothing could be done and they're keeping my money. This is not customer service, they'll never see another dime from us.

The website is super informative and gives so many helpful details to plan your adventure whether you are going on the SUP or kayaks but what's more impressive is when you arrive, you are greeted by a super friendly staff and the owner David, is super knowledgeable about what's appropriate for your experience level and then guides you on how to get the most enjoyment out of the time on the water. The equipment was all either brand new or kept in like new condition which is definitely a huge bonus since I have rented boards at other places that were not kept in condition like these. There is a convenient and super clean locker room and bathroom available to get changed in and then lock up your valuables just steps away from the dock where you launch. You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into making every detail of your entire experience fluid and flawless. Since this was my son's first time, the staff helped tether his board to mine which made him and I much more comfortable. After we launched we had an incredible couple of hours enjoying the beautiful weather and such a special day together. I can't thank you enough David and your wonderful staff for making this a very special memory for my son and I! My son already asked when we will go again. After seeing another guest on the 'Step SUP today, I think it would be super fun to try that out and read that Sea Kayak offers motorized SUP as well... I mean, c'mon how cool is that!!
