I called West Marine in Stratford and they didn't have any. I called Milford Boat Works and they had it which made me happy as I am from Milford and didn't have to go out of my way. Since it was raining, I decided to get some rain gear for my trip. Milford Boat Works had just what I needed. And, you know how the saying goes, if you have rain gear, the sun will be shinning! So true. Staff at MBW are very friendly and helpful. I also saw some other items that I needed at home. Tubing for my water fountain is sold by the foot so I was able to pick that up as well.

Had a terrible experience here and cost me in repair at another marina 12k. First the owner is a…read moreretired fireman and has no clue about boats so he relies on his mechanic Matt to do all the work.That should of been a red flag for me not to do business with an owner that doesn't do it for a living I have twin 2017 300hp Verados on my Boston Whaler and got charged $2,500 for a full tune up including both gear case oil changes,engine oil,impeller spark plug etc.. When I put my boat in the water one of the lower units blew. I took it to it to another marina and they told me that this happened because all my 4 drain plugs oil and gear case oil plugs where finger tight and never tightened with a socket wrench and my seals where ripped and never changed which is mandatory when you do a Mercury tuned up. (see attached photo) I had sea water in both my engines and both my lower units. When I called the owner Don of Guilford boat yard to inform him of what happened he got really nasty and rude with me and told me I was on my own and didn't want anything to do with it.

Horrible business with rude employees…read more - Initially I came by and they said I could start my reservation at 12:00PM. - I passed a 15 min course to learn that the boat is actually unavailable due to weather; - the guy at the cashier said -- "I'm uncomfortable putting you on a boat because there is an upcoming storm coming" - come back at 3pm. - I called them multiple times between 1:30-2:30 to find out if the weather is ok to rent a boat or not - nobody answered - at 345 a very angry man called me and demanded that I pay for the boat a full price. Very dishonest practice of doing business. Horrible cancelation policy and borderline fraudulent enterprise. I lost $300 despite being told by an employee that it's unsafe for me to take a boat tour: I'll be reporting them to multiple government agencies and will be seeking remedies. Very unfair and dishonest. Avoid at all cost.

Many customers on the boat were clearly frequent users of Middlebank Sport Fishing. Nick and Max knew many by their first names and everyone was truly friendly. The boat was clean and organized and docked in the most convenient area with tons of parking. When I left, even the captain honked and said "you are the winner of today's pool? Congrats!" I showed up with my own paddleboard and had a great time exploring the Long Island Sound from Walnut Beach. They also rent bicycles. They have a cute little shop right near the water.
