Barbara was awesome and accommodating! I came in last minute to deal with some serious deadline things from fax to email to print and she helped me and calmed me down. She even offered me a bottle of cold water which I graciously accepted. She knew that I am going through a lot because I disclosed it to her and was very generous to me which I greatly appreciated and needed. So I have used this place a few times out of convenience because our local post office is crazy busy. We'll July 29th at 350pm I mailed a package that was 3lbs and some change going to Houston TX and it cost me 8.96. Today I went to go mail a package that was barely a pound and to the same address and package was much smaller than the one I sent to the same address as just 29th and they tried to rob me for almost 20 dollars. Then they want to proceed to argue and basically say it's fault or I'm wrong when I showed them everything. Maybe they should either train the employees better or figure out their business. Either way they didn't take responsibility for their mess up. Won't be going back there again. I'll stick to the long wait at the post office. At least there I know I won't get raped in prices. read more

Flat out rude people. Lack in customer service and friendliness. We brought in a package which was extremely heavy. We had no idea they couldn't ship it. In front of everyone she's yelling at us telling us "what do you think your doing...you can't ship that" instead of politely explaining why she yelled. I would like to say I 've used Safe Ship many times in the 7 years I've lived in Port Orange. I've found the place to be organized, Friendly, professional and each employee knowledgeable in every area of the store. I've Alway's been treated with respect and kindness and even when things where hectic in there as we all should be patient and respectful to other's and to the Employes's who are trying to do their jobs for us as best as they can to help us get in and out as soon as possible. Maybe like we all say in the industry of the working class maybe you should put yourself in someone else's shoe's and try doing what they do and see if you can do it better or faster before you go ahead and judge someone because i believe that they do a fantastic job and if you don't then find somewhere else to go and stand in line forever and pay more money because these people make sure your packages are secure and taken care of an you get the best price and are friendly and professional and i wouldn't go anywhere else to ship so take it from there and take your attitude's with you !! i hear some places charge for that !! lol... read more

I sent 7 packages on December 7th at this location. I told them to send them USPS for 6 of them and FEDEX for one. 4 of the packages never arrived , all gift cards to my grandchilden. They were Christmas Cards with the gift cards inside, then I used a padded envelope to send them. The Post Office says that those missing 4 packages were NEVER received. It appears their is a thief in the house. Very disappointed. Will never use this place again and I will do everything I can to let everyone I encounter what happened to me. read more

I went to Safe Ship today to mail out a package. Staff was very friendly even thou they were extremely busy. The problem I have was there pricing. They charged me $106.03 to ship a 35 pound package to PA. I ofcourse did not realize that had I just taken it to Fed Ex myself it would of only cost me $44.95. Now that I know what a rip off there prices are I will not be going back. read more

I preface this with the fact that I am a small business owner, therefore, have extra patience with fellow business owners. But I truly received shockingly poor customer service from a gentleman named Robert today. I waited for 20 minutes behind a poor lady who was trying to urgently send a package to a military family member. Robert was having technical issues and called his manager twice for assistance. In the end, he could not get the mailing label to print out and could not help this very nice lady who was exceeding patient. Never once did he apologize to her for not being able to help and never once did he apologize to me or the other lady behind me who left after 10 minutes. When it finally was my turn, I was asked if my name was in the system. I said no and proceeded to give him my name. He then asked for an address. I asked why he needed it because the post office never asked for that information. All he said was that he needed it for his system. I politely told him that I would prefer to not give it because I didn't want any junk mail. He said that he would then need a phone number or an email. Again, I said that I would prefer to not give him that information and asked if he could just take my name only. He tried to save it as name only, but the system wouldn't let him. So I told him that I would be happy to give him a phone number and told him all 9s. He somehow became personally offended by the false phone number. He told me that I was "not following his procedures" and that he would not mail the package for me. I asked him if he really was going to give up my business simply because I wouldn't give my contact information. He responded that he was indeed not going to mail my package. So, I left, drove 5 minutes to the post office down the street, and mailed my package at the automated machine in 90 seconds. I did ask for his manager's contact information, which he gave to me, and I attempted multiples to contact this person, with no response. I am still amazed that an older gentleman like Robert would not have known better to honor such a very simple request from a customer in order to get and keep their business. In the 20 minutes I was there, he lost 3 of the 4 sales he could have had. Please don't reward this poorly run business with your patronage. read more
