However, the rows are pretty narrow- barely wider than one car- so if someone else is blocking your unit, you'll have to wait. I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks ago after we got a week of rain and everything in Kendall was flooded. I thought that for sure there would be flooding in my unit and that my boxes would be wet, but nope, it was dry; their drainage must be pretty good. The office staff is nice, and they're happy to take your payment over the phone if that's easier for you.

A man answered and told me I would need to register first, and that they'd call me later to schedule an appointment to view the units on another day. He started asking for all my personal information, but it felt off, like a scam, so I interrupted and ended the call. The woman inside clearly saw me still standing by the entrance talking on the phone, but she never bothered to get up or check what was going on. So lazy and unprofessional! Despite verifying my identity multiple times, management refused to cut my lock for retrieval and attempted to charge a higher fee than stated in my contract. Although the contract allowed rental transfers, I was later told this wasn't permitted. It took nearly two months to regain access, resulting in unnecessary additional costs. Overall, a frustrating experience with no flexibility. I cannot recommend Spare Space Miami and property manager Suley Mehabat did everything she could to NOT help me. For someone moving to Dublin, Ireland shortly afterwards, I had to spend first 2 months with sub optimal clothing as I had over 100 ibs of belongings locked up in the US.

The location is convenient, the facility is always extra clean and the staff is consistent and always ready to assist. The units are also climate controlled. You can purchase storage related materials like tape, boxes and other packing goods at the office and they will loan you a flatbed cart to wheel your items as long as you leave your ID as collateral until the cart is returned. The parking area, which is secure, is indoors so there is no fear of getting wet when loading or unloading items. The two downsides about this location (and likely all Value Store It locations), is that (1) every year the prices go up on your unit. Regardless of how many years you've been a loyal customer or have consistently paid in a timely manner, the price of the unit (doesn't matter the size) increases by about five dollars. Additionally, (2) it would be helpful if they had a dumpster or some other large garbage bin to discard items while you clean up your unit.

Also, they have a moving truck you can have on move in day for free, although you do have to buy insurance $14 and fill the tank back up when your done. if you only drive 25 miles round trip you don't have to pay for miles. Also, there is a gal there, Martha, who is super helpful and tries her best to find the best deal and unit for you. If you need storage go to this place and check it out.
