Very disappointing service with Safelite. Our passenger door window was cracked and we scheduled a repair on 6/9/26. The tech came out and replaced the window but they broke something in the door during the service and we were not able to open the door from the inside or outside of the car. Safelite took responsibility of the break and offered to fix it. They sent out more technicians at two different times to try and fix the problem on 6/23/26 and 7/2/26. Unfortunately they too were unable to fix the door and recommended that we take the truck to the Ford dealership to fix the door. We made an appointment with Ford and dropped the truck off on 7/20/26. As of today (8/6/26) the truck is still in the shop waiting for Safelite's Causality Claims Department to approve the repair so Ford can begin working to repair the truck. I spoke with Josh with Safelite (Caldwell store) who told me he had no ETA for when the approval would occur, could not provide me with a phone number/contact for the Casuality Claims Department and would not give me his manager's information. He also mentioned that he didn't know why we didn't just keep the truck out of the shop since its operational... an odd response since we are trying to get the truck fixed and we need Safelite's approval. We are now going on almost three (3) weeks of the truck being in the shop. We have spoken with Safelite multiple times to try to get this remedied but with no luck. At this point we are at the mercy of their Claims Department and how quickly they decide to approve a repair for a break they caused. At this point, we are not sure what to do besides continuing to follow up with Safelite's Claims Department. Overall, very displeased with this company and disappointed with the service we've received. We would not recommend especially if it involves a door repair. read more

Scheduled the service for a window between 7am-12pm for a windshield replacement at my home. I double checked that morning and everything showed 7am-12pm. At 10:30am I checked the status and my appointment was changed from that day, Tuesday, to the following Saturday. No call, email, or text. I called and talked to Mike and he cut me off when I started talking and said they couldn't do it that day so they changed it. He was rude and unhelpful so I asked to speak to a manager. I then spoke to Josh, I told him about the issue and said I really needed the glass done the day it was scheduled for. He said "I can't do it today so I don't know what to tell you". Horrible customer service, downright rude, unreliable. Terrible representation of Safelite, I will never give them my business. read more

They have on more than one occasion waisted our time, they ask all the questions when booking the appointment except the important ones I guess. Only positive thing I can say is that my tech was nice and he was honest. Otherwise, it's the second time Safelite has failed me in as many times. Tried to use them earlier this year and they were non-responsive when I reached out to get a final price with calibration, so I finally gave up and went to dealer instead. Gave them another shot and after waiting 2-weeks they start working on it and stop because their computer isn't synching with my system, so basically, I am SOL again and have to go back to dealer again. Never trying Safelite again on any vehicle, they just can't be trusted to follow through. read more

The manager "Lee" provided "good will" service when he took care of an issue I had with my driver side front window on my Lexus sedan, though I was more than a year past warranty on a repair they did previously. The service tech "Jos" was very informative and professional in explaining what the issue was. It should be mentioned also that he refused my cash gratuity in appreciation of his service. Installed a windshield that leaked profusely causing a soaked driver side footwell, gauges to read inaccurately due to wetness, and they left scratches in my paint all around my windshield. Our first ever service was yesterday, 08-14. New car made it just over a year before a rock encouraged us to replace the front window. We arrived 15 minutes early and were told about 60-75 minutes for the service. Our walk down to Starbucks and back had the car done within 60 Minutes. They managed to save our State Parks sticker and placed it on the outside of the new window. Unexpected but appreciated!! Thought for sure I was going to be going to get a new sticker at the DMV! They vacuumed the car and cleaned the front window. Recalibrated the camera for the safety features as well. Ryan was very friendly and informed us of everything we needed to pay attention to. Just stopped by to get a quote for rock chip repair estimate. Very friendly and welcoming folks. Another shop stated I needed to replace the windshield and gave me a quote for an entire windshield as the windshield couldn't be repaired. The gentleman that assisted me was very helpful and stated that the type of chip I had very rarely will expand based on his 20+ years of experience. I greatly appreciated the honesty and giving me options, especially in this day and age. They are amazing! They were able to replace the windshield right away . Jeep Wrangler windshield replacement and managed up safe and put the Idaho parks sticker back on the windshield. They were also able to save the carwash stick. They went above and beyond with keeping my updated and cleaning the jeep. They take pride in their work and service to their customers. We got a quote for our 2019 Mercedes online. They quoted right around $550 for replacement, but upon picking the car up and paying, it was $980. Their response was they had to do this that and the other. No phone call about the price almost doubling, they just proceeded. We had our windscreen replaced by Caldwell safelite not long ago. I went out to clean it up prior to our first road trip and discovered two sets of parallel pits in it one about 2 inches apart and the other set about 1 inch apart. I've never seen rock pits in such organized placement but that's what the guy at Caldwell safelite claimed. I don't believe his assessment and will not do business with this firm again. Don't know what is happening with satellite but we keep getting pushed back from our scheduled replacement date. Was a month from the first appointment now that's been pushed out another month. You rearrange you schedule to accommodate them then 2 days before your appointment they call and push you back another month. If I would have it to do over I wouldn't have chosen safelite. read more

I got a chip in my windshield last week due to all the road construction in town. I Called my insurance company and they immediately connected me with safelite auto glass. They got me in 2 days later--by then I needed a full windshield as it grew in 3 directions. I arrived at safelite in Caldwell and was told what they were going to do. I waited the hour I was quoted by walking the half mile to Walmart. It was ready 5 minutes early, I paid deductible and was told how to drive next few days. I had an appointment to get my car windshield fixed. I talked to them twice to make sure it would be done early morning. I was told no problem. I got there and it was listed to be an all day pickup. Luckily me me me me in ( if you call it that). Then they said my windshield wipers were bad so they would not warranty the windshield unless I bought wipers.
