I do not write poor review reviews. I normally understand that mistakes happen, but this was incredibly frustrating because this Safelite had wrong parts for my Tesla TWICE even with my vin number. Safelite initially ordered the wrong window for my 2023 Tesla Model 3. I was told that it was their automated system that caused the mishap, which I was willing to understand. Mistakes happen. Before going through this again, however, I specifically contacted Safelite and asked them to confirm that the replacement they ordered was the correct window. I was assured that it was. Then, about 30 minutes later, I received a call telling me that, once again, they had the wrong window. This time they blamed it on Tesla. If the first order was incorrect because of information provided by your poor automated system okay I am willing to give this shop another chance. After the two mistakes, and especially after a customer specifically asks you to double-check the replacement, I would expect someone to actually verify the part before confirming it is correct. I ultimately gave up and contacted a different local auto-glass company. I sent them the information, and they immediately noticed the part-number discrepancy, confirmed the correct window, and were able to come to my house the same day. One mistake would not have prompted me to leave a negative review. Even two mistakes can happen. What bothered me was that I specifically tried to prevent the second mistake by asking Safelite to confirm the part, was told it had been confirmed, and then learned 30 minutes later that it was wrong again. I selected this location because I had another appointment in the area. I have used Safelite in Pinal county in the past, so I trusted the brand. I showed up early for my appointment and was told to come back closer to the expected time. No problem at all. I came back closer to my appointment time and was checked right in for a windsheild replacement. The lobby is very well sized and comfortable with plenty of seating for those choosing to wait. The restroom was very clean. Some complimentary beverages are available, however, I brought my own water so I didn't use theirs. A TV was up on the wall that helped pass the time. The staff are all very polite and professional, even with less than ideal customers in front of them complaining. Composure was maintained very well, quite impressive! It only took just over an hour for my car to be done, I was very pleased, as the typical wait could be up to 3 hours! I am very pleased with the results and now have a clear windshield to see out of! I had to go in because my car needed calibration as well, so mobile service wasn't an option. I would highly recommend this location for anyone in the valey needing either rock chip repair or full replacement of any auto glass! By far the worst service experience. I dropped my car at 8:30am I stopped back at 3pm they hadn't even touched my vehicle. When I scheduled this appointment on the phone I was told that this was a 2-3 hour service. I spoke with the manager about my complaints he was rude and spoke with aggression. I had to wait an additional 2 hours until 5 pm for my vehicle. After getting my vehicle it was debris from the repair all over my dash and in the camera area (which I can't remove). Moving forward I will no longer patronize this establishment they may be the larger glass replacement company but they aren't the only company. so I'll never take any of my vehicles back to Safelite auto glass ever I had the worst experience up in Scottsdale. I had to take my vehicle back three different times. Then on another occasion, one of my back rear windows on my vehicle broken due to someone trying to steal my car. I took it back to the same Scottsdale place things would be different after we discussed all problems. come to find out. Nope they replaced the window, but left all the shattered glass inside my door so I decided to thinking maybe using a different glass location would be you know a better outcome however they replaced my front windshield and couldn't even install it correctly. The weatherstripping around the windshield is rolled underneath and my windshield squeaks the weatherstripping squeaks. It leaks water inside and it rattles. I've had the worst experience every time I've gone to Safelite auto glass. I would never recommend taking your vehicles to any Safelite auto glass in the valley. I sure won't be taking any of my vehicle vehicles back to any of their shops. Their customer service sucks. I asked for the general manager to call me so we can discuss things got a call back. Made appointment, dropped off car as it needed calibration . Wife picked up me up . Waited 3 hours ( the agreed time) got a ride back so basically a half day at this point . When I arrived and said my name the mgr looked very sheepish and said it failed calibration , I was like and so? Fix it ! I had an appointment this morning at 9:30AM AZT on 5/23/2025 to replace a damaged windshield on my 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 2500. I arrived about 30 minutes early because my work shift starts at 9AM. As soon as I walked in, front desk woman named Dea Tannehill first glanced at me like she was annoyed then smirked. I told her I had an appointment and arrived earlier than my schedule because my work starts at 9AM. She then started to state that there may be an issue because my windshield will require a recalibration (lane change alert sensors). I told her I had my Sprinter windshield replaced multiple times in the past with Safelite (including this Arizona Ave location) and have never had issue with it. She then started getting feisty and testy. I then asked for a manager. Larry, the store manager came out and started to argue that since I spoke over him, so I can just leave. He also seemed to just want to argue instead of figuring out a solution. Then I said okay, I'll leave; there's no way I would have them go near my vehicle after how they treated a customer. I walked out and thought I needed to get their names. So I went back and asked her for her name and her manager's. Instead of telling me, she said "it's right there! Make sure you get the spelling right!" I was dumbfounded at the level of unprofessionalism. I told her "I probably spell better than you do and you were probably born here!" then I left. Instead of calming the situation because of misinformation and unpreparedness of the glass replacement, they tell the customer to leave. Avoid this location if you can, no need to go through the hassle with such unprofessional people. What gets more interesting is I officially filed a complaint with Safelite Corporate and they informed me that they will speak with the District Manager and that they will contact me. Sure enough, I did get a call but I missed it. So I called back and a lady answered. I asked for a person by the name of "Larry" who called me but I was on another call at the time. I did return the call about 20 minutes later (mind you it was 2:30PM AZT when I called back). I assumed that "Larry" was the District Manager. Then I found out the person "Larry" whom I thought it was the District Manager was the store manager of the same location whom kicked me out of Safelite because "I spoke over him" while I was complaining about the service. Dea then informed me that "Larry" had just left for the day and it wasn't even 3PM AZT in the afternoon. How convenient! She was the same person who treated me badly on my appointment day. She casually pretended and spoke like she had never spoken to me. It seems to me that some people that works at this Safelite location is more concerned about preserving their fragile ago than helping a customer and doing their job properly; at lease from what I can see dealing with the two people I came in contact with on 5/23/2025 about 9:10AM Arizona Time. So, I've hired Safelite to do glass in the past. The work was acceptable, although not exceptional. When they finished with my Chevy Bolt, the glass looked okay, but they did not get the sensor tight against the glass like it originally was. I did not bother to return to fix it, as I wasn't sure that the caliber of workers could actually make an improvement. Here's my real problem with Safelite however. I went online, and hired them to replace the glass in my 2003 Mustang. I made the appointment several days in advance, and for the next several days I got texts saying everything was in readiness, and they'd be here on the day of. They charged my credit card, and the morning of, I received a message stating they would be here soon. About an hour before they were scheduled to arrive, I got a call from Safelite. "We don't do 2003 mustangs. Sorry if we've messed up your day. I hate making these calls." So this sort of thing is commonplace? How do you make appointments for and charge customers for work your company doesn't even do??? Are you telling me you can't even flag a particular vehicle that you are unable to work on? Okay, they reimbursed my card, and I was able to find someone who could do it, and do it right, but in the meantime, I'm thinking all is done and I waited a week for a date I could be available. If I'd known, I'd have hired someone else immediately. And they don't even do great work, it's just cheap. Never again. At this point I would hire anyone but Safelite. read more

Stopped here to have a glass chip repaired. I was thinking that I'd have to make an appointment and go through my insurance. Even though, I have full glass coverage I learned the hard way that, it counts as a claim so, I decided to pay out of pocket instead. It was nice that they were able to get me in right away. The staff were all friendly and upfront! You can hardly tell that the crack was there as it now only has a teeny scratch left in the windshield vs the dent chip that was there prior. I'm praying that whatever they did will last. I find it cool that they could make it go away as much as they did, but I'm not going to lie that I'm a lil liery and a lil taken back at the work since it looks amazingly good. Juan did a great job!!! If you get a rock into your windshield it's worth stopping here before going through your insurance because chances are, these guys can fix it and it could even be cheaper rather than to file a claim. I've been waiting for Safelite to issue a refund since July 31st and it is now September 11th. Every time I call they assure me they've processed it, and it is apparent they haven't. I have to keep calling to see what's happening and every time I get less information. This is all for a windshield repair that spread less than a week after the repair! Showed up on a Saturday morning @ 0700 to get my windshield replaced. Said it would take between 1.5-2 hours. No problem. Was gonna wait there for my car - walk down to DD get some breakfast, etc. Long story short - the tech that was supposed to fix my windshield was late coming in and no one told me. I had to ask the desk at around 9:15 why I was still sitting there and everyone else was finished / long gone. Ended up taking close to THREE HOURS to get my car done. No one came up to me apologizing for the extra long wait, or even bother to tell me it will take longer than the 2 hours they originally stated. Not very good customer service IMO. read more

If you have a subaru you might want to avoid Safelite. If your vehicle has a camera (most do) safelite will scan it and if it has any errors then they won't change your window. So what is an error? Well any time your car dings at you for departing you lane, car moves in front of you, automatic breaking, etc. Ya know. The basic stuff. Those are all warnings and thus alarms. So unless your car has been sitting in the garage for 2 months you will have alarms and Safelite won't change your windshield. According to the dealership basically Safelite has broken too many cameras upon calibration so they just quit changing subaru windshields. Which is fine. But don't take my appointment and then cancel when I get there and waste my time. I have a cracked windshield which means it is a safety issue. Now I have to find a new place and wait even longer. read more

This was the worst customer service experience and a complete waste of time! Scheduling the appointment and paying IN FULL was easy enough on the website but that is where the ease ends. Once the service was handed over to an actual technician it was a series of errors and lack of communication. First, the technician is supposed to text you prior to arriving at your home, not when they are outside so there is no 20 minute notice as they told us there would be which makes a bit of an inconvenience but not that big of a deal as compared to how the rest of the experience played out. First, the technician revealed that they had the wrong glass compared to what was actually on our vehicle even though we ordered based on the VIN as directed on the website, once that was sorted out (after they called the office and I awkwardly stood there the entire time)...the technician then discovered the replacement windshield he had brought was damaged and unusable. So, we had to reschedule for the following day. Then, the next day another technician came (yet again no warning just showed up) and before they started the job told me I had a balance of $200! I told him we had already paid in full when we booked the appointment and did not understand where this new cost came from. There was some sort of disconnect and they changed the windshield we ordered for another which led to a balance or something like that....no real clear answer. Both the technician from the day prior and the second one that came were a little "too comfortable" in their mannerism and approach and were not professional in the slightest. It was ridiculous, inappropriate and frankly felt unsafe. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....so many other choices out there! Will not be using them again. I had them come out earlier this year for a large crack in my front windshield, as chips/cracks due to rocks are common for my location, and they were great. Figured why not use them again. Fast-forward to this week. Had a tiny chip I was unaware of--due to it's location--turn into a small crack on Wednesday morning, splitting further by nearly 8 inches that afternoon as I was driving home. Called my insurance and was transferred over to Safelite, since they are their top preferred/partnered company; I was unable to miss work by dropping it off somewhere and the soonest they had for a mobile unit was Saturday morning. They show up this morning and a little later they call me saying they are unable to replace the glass because the replacement has a small SCRATCH on part of the frit. I ask if they can still install it and then replace it in a couple days when they can get another one in, as my windshield has continued to split more every day over the last 3 days and the deep crack spans over more than half my windshield at this point. The employee says they have to check with their Manager and will call back. Calls me back a couple minutes later and states no, they can't do that per their Manager. I'm sorry, is your Manager going to pay for my ticket when I get pulled, or reimburse my pay for missing work?! It's the weekend, everywhere either does not have openings or the windshield is not in house and needs to be ordered. This company would prefer to leave consumers with a safety hazard of a windshield rather than have to replace a 'defective' product that they did not check before coming out in the first place! Nice enough folks, but when I returned for the appointment it had been scheduled for a location 15 miles away and further from home. No offer to have the glass transferred. Reschedule or drive 30 minutes across town. They were apologetic, but, no. Half an hour to get to this shop, 30 minutes to get to the other (which amazingly has an ever worse review rating) and more to then get the car back. Rescheduling when you've blocked the day and arranged a rental car isn't a fair ask. They were kind enough to note that the scheduled location was only four miles away. No. 15. Had the front windshield replaced on my car a few days ago. Today, I noticed the that the right side molding was flopping around while driving on the freeway. It looks like the retaining clips for the front windshield molding is broken on the driver and passenger side. Now I have to call them tomorrow. Sigh. Accidents happen I get that, but what makes me angry is that the molding was put back on as nothing had happened even though it was clearly broken. Just an FYI for future costumers... Triple check the install work before you leave the shop. Update 5/5/21 Ordering the parts took a couple of days. The location never followed up giving us the status of the parts on order. We had to call each morning. The parts finally came in today and I needed to drive back out to then location to have the windshield (right and left) molding installed. One a good note. We have had such a disappointing experience with this location. First, they installed a defective windshield and the rear view mirror literally fell off while was driving. They acted embarrassed, and said they would get it replaced immediately. Two weeks went past I kept calling, but the mirror had never been ordered, nor had the windshield to be replaced. Finally, they ordered a new mirror, and installed it. It lasted 24 hours before falling off yet again. Called them again, and they said that they would replace the entire windshield, again. So far, I am going on three weeks with no response as to when this new windshield will be installed. Very frustrating. Very dangerous. read more

Definitely do not opt for the "all day drop-off" they legitimately keep it all day. You think you're being helpful by letting them address it at an 8am drop off but really yours is the very last to go in. They estimate 2-2.5 hours and it ends up being 3 hours and PAST their closing time. Why does this make sense? Miscommunication between the operator who calls and the front desk staff. Def do not recommended Safelite. Go somewhere else! I pray by the time I get my car that at least the job will be done correctly. read more

Emerson replaced my windshield today and he made the experience pretty amazing. The windshield he received was scratched, called me and said he would be 20 min late and apologized for the inconvenience as he needed to go by their warehouse and get a new one. He was late, but I truly appreciate him not installing and catching the scratch...just doing the right thing! Long story short Satellite installed blemished glass on Thursday, they have no number to call, was told to wait 48hrs for carwash, I did bless did not come off glass, scheduled a consult first thing Monday for Tuesday morning, brought car in and they said blemish is within industry standard and I should've brought it in earlier. I'm busy like they are, they have no number to call, I tried to call right away, but still thought it might be a sticker of something and may come off in the carwash....according to them I waited to long and it is fine to install blemished glass. I had a mobile appointment setup for 4/14/21 between 7:00-11:00am. My wife took off work to wait with the car and at 7:15am I received a call from C... that said it needed to be done in the shop. He said he would call back about arranging to have vehicle picked up but there was never a return call. I called numerous times and asked for C... to call back and no one called and no one showed. I had it done by mobile appointment today by another Safelite location close to my office. I will write a separate review for that location. They were great and it is obvious that it didn't need to be taken into the location for service. read more

They ask you to bring your car in by 9:30 in the morning they don't start working on your car till after three then they call you at 5 o'clock when they are closed to tell you that you have 10 minutes to get down and pick up your car without put it in some kind of lockbox on a message on the voicemail and they text you at 5:17 after they're closed to say that your car is done. I had to take an Uber there only to find out that they were closed then I had to take an Uber home then I had to take an Uber back to pick up my car this is the worst customer service in the history of customer service I will never use Safelite again and I am going to ask them to pay for my Uber rides which were totally unnecessary had they called me before five. POSTSCRIPT to this review: when i went back to pick up my car and explained to the Manager Mike what happened to me, he said he would look into the incident. He would call me back later that day. He did call me back and after his internal investigation he said that he does not run his branch this way and wanted to make it right. He asked me to come in the next day he made up for my UBER costs and offered his apology for my inconvenience. This is guy who cares and turned a negative experience into a positive because he does care. You can't say that much anymore these days - I have to thank Mike for restoring my faith in people and good old customer satisfaction- a concept that used to be the norm, now unfortunately the exception.
