This review reflects this location only; I have not had any experience with others. Brought my truck for a windshield replacement and was greeted very politely and friendly. I mentioned that I had a camera mount attached to the glass and was told that that would not be an issue. The service was uneventful and when I got home and tried to mount the camera, the base was just hanging by a thread of tape. A couple of days later I returned to the shop (as the fellow at the computer said, "that for any issues just come back"), and the attitude was totally different. I expected him to just give me a 2" piece of tape so I could re mount the base, and instead he just kept looking at his computer screen (no typing, no earphone talk). After 5 minutes he told me just to have a seat, he only had 2 installers in the back and did not want to disturb them. I waited another 15 minutes and feeling unattended and truly disrespected left the shop. He had no other customer to help, and the only other customer there was just waiting (he had already been attended by the other front desk employee). Total disregard for a minimum of customer service. The glass appears to be well placed, but in reading other reviews of this shop, will have to wait for a good rain to comment on quality. read more

went today to get chip repair done horrible job on my $75,000 tundra guy said they don't train there guys to do chips the right way they don't drill or heat glass to really get resin in there that they don't have time to train people to do it the right way so know am stuck with a horrible repair that's still gonna spread and nothing they can do now that they already put resin so now It can't be fixed the right way that's cause I even put tape over ding right when it happen so no dirt or anything gets in there so it could be a clear repair they were not even close it looks terrible DO NOT go here for chip repair they don't have the training that was their own words. read more

Went into the shop and asked if could get rear view mirror put back on the windshield. The first guy seemed more interested in what he was doing on his computer. He paused and another man came up and asked if he could help. I explained my mirror fell of the windshield and if I need an appointment to get it glued back on. He speaks in a low voice and says I have to replace the windshield. I blew up made some wise remarks and left. I thought windshields were bought without the rear-view mirror. I wonder how many people he has suckered into this crime. I am a disabled veteran and on a fixed income and maybe he recognized this. But this happened on the Padre Island Drive shop on June 13, 2025. When the repair shop was on Kostoryz Road there was no idiots working there. I'm highly recommending Safelite. I was able to set a date the technician would replace my windshield at my home. Omar, the technician texted me his arrival time and took extremely detailed precautions doing everything properly. Above and beyond he even transferred my stickers for registration and beach parking so I didn't have to try myself or get new ones!!! read more

If your new car has a windshield that auto dims your headlights and or has other functions, save yourself a lot of time, frustration and aggravation. Take the car to the dealer who made it. After two trips to the dealer and two trips to safelite over a 10 day period and still no windshield, I ended up going to the dealer. Insurance still paid just no BS and poor customer service from Safelite. And you can forget about reaching them locally on the phone. It always rolls over to a national number. read more

Not happy to be replacing my windshield at 8am on a Saturday morning after working out of town all week. But our highways seem to always have loose gravel due to the constant construction. Nice waiting area. Keurig coffee pot with a variety of styles and flavors for customer use. Pirates of the Caribbean on the TV to help pass the time. Staff member that took me keys and greeted me was very friendly and upbeat. So far I am impressed. Ready in a little over an hour. Tech came in waiting room to tell me it was ready. Windshield liked good but I did have to ask the tech to reinstall my radio antenna and license sticker which he promptly did. Also some used paper towels were left on the passenger seat. No big deal unless I had driven off with no antenna and no license sticker and had to go back. Overall they do what they are supposed to and I would recommend them. read more

I called Nissan for a windshield replacement and they directed me to Evins Glass. I called Evins Glass to Schedule an appointment and they Quoted me $735. Being frugal I called around. Safelite quoted me $421. I took it to Safelite and dropped it off. 25 min later my phone rang and my truck was ready, they also Vaccumed the inside and wiped down my interior!!! Amazing Customer Service and almost half price of Evins Glass. So my Question is, Evins Glass why do you charge nearly double the price??? read more

Could not talk to a person! Had schedule appointment online! Appointment was confirmed the night before for installation from 8-12. No one showed up. At 2:00 pm we called the office in Corpus Christi. The receptionist said a technician was never assigned to us because one of the windows did not arrive from Columbus, Ohio. Nice to know after missing a day of work because I received a confirmation message saying everything was set and a technician assigned and would arrive between 8-12 as scheduled. Incompetence supreme! I am glad I did not pay the $1000.00 they wanted before the work by credit card! Unprofessional losers and then they try to blame technology and don't take any responsibility themselves. My recommendation: stay far away from these characters! read more

Completed my order online for windshield replacement on my truck and had a $25 coupon applied to my order. When technician showed up, he was only there long enough to access the interior of my truck before realizing he didn't have the correct windshield. I wasn't happy because I had already adjusted my schedule to accommodate this appointment. He said he would have the correct windshield in a day or two and I we scheduled a new install date. He left my residence and I didn't realize until about an hour later that the technician left the driver door on my vehicle wide open. On the second scheduled install date, another technician showed up and realized he also didn't have the correct windshield. The technician said they would get the correct one delivered ASAP, so we scheduled a third install date. The technician called his office and they agreed to give me a $100 discount off my price since they didn't seem to have their act together. On the third install date, the installation was completed. However, days later, we noticed they gave us the agreed upon $100 discount off the original price...BUT, they removed the $25 coupon. So they really only gave us a $75 discount. I guess they thought we wouldn't catch their bait and switch. I'll never use them again as they're clearly not a business that honors their word. read more

The Safelite warranty for replacement windshields is a joke. They have posted all over the internet that you have a lifetime warranty on a replaced windshield until you need to use that warranty. i called becuase the new windsheild did not last three months, it has a crack from the edge to the center that did not originate from damage or a rock chip. This should have been covered under the LIfetime warranty according to all the paperwork that i have on the replacement. They were rude on the phone, and not willing to honor the warranty becuase there was a rock chip on the other side of the windshield. They are not related at all. We went to bed one night and the next mroning there was a foot long crack. This company is full of crooks that do not care about customer service at all. read more

Cracked windshield on truck that has lane assist and rain sensors - meaning those need to be aligned when you change the windshield ($300). They cannot align those things when they "come to you" like in the commercials. OK. The guys that do the alignement do not work on Saturday. No after hours drop box. "We're not responsible for your truck." I work M-F 7am-7pm. They are closed when I go to work and closed when I get off. Lady at the desk seemed to show zero interest in making something work. Bottom line: If you have a full time job, Corpus Christi Safelite is not interested in your business. read more

Of all the incompetencies exposed by the year 2021, the Safelite shop is at the pinnacle. I called the Safelite help line for help in ordering a specific windshield. After driving 45 minutes and having to wait 30 minutes to have the technician ensure all the electronics were up to speed, I received a call about an hour later that the wrong windshield had been ordered. So that's 1/2 a day wasted. Rescheduled for 5 days later, only to get a call an hour after dropping it off to have them say they can't install it until the computer codes are cleared. Scheduling online was a breeze. Received a confirmation call about the details of my vehicle and windshield replacement before my appt day. Dropped my car off 1st thing in the morning and was expecting it to take all day but I was called about 2 hours later to pick it up :). Horrible. Couldn't even get our windscreen replaced. They tried twice. First it was said after we arrived that the glass was on back order. Then we were told they could get it and scheduled us for the following week. Showed up they took vehicle back the guy brought vehicle back to the front saying windshield was wrong. They blamed the dealer. The glass tech smudged finger prints all over interior glass and obviously took the little oil change sticker off. Stuck it back on smudged and smeared can't read anything on sticker. We still didn't get an answer as to when the glass would arrive. This was a total waste of time. We live over an hour away and wasted two trips here. I would NOT ever go back. It clearly is mid managed and disorganized. While there we heard manager gal tell two customers that she didn't know what happened but the glass wasn't in. Total lack of organization. Very un-professional. Employees all hanging out in office lounging in chairs. They are getting paid to just hang out in a glass shop that just does not want to work. What a damn shame !!! read more

The worst quality of work & customer service. Technician was scheduled to fix a small chip in my brand new windshield between 8-12 he showed up at 4:36 pm, he than procedeed to cause my small chip to start to crack, when he supposedly completed the work he stated that the crack he corrected would not spread anymore & the work was guaranteed as long as I own the car, he stated it there was any issues to contact safelite, less than 2 weeks later the crack he created is continuing to spread, when I contacted safelite they did not stand behind there guarantee & the customer representative was rude & told me that I now would have to pay to buy a new windshield. I always take my vehicle to safelight for auto glass repair or replacement however, I just had a rock chip repaired for $153.64. I had a rock chip repaired in January for $65.00 with the same company and on the same vehicle and I paid out of pocket for both repairs. They always do a great job but I have already found a more budget-friendly place to repair future damage to my windshield/glass. read more

The service guy was friendly, but did a HORRIBLE job repairing my glass. I called today to speak to this location and see if they would make it right. The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and basically told me that was the best they could do (without even seeing the repairs). I've had windshield cracks repaired before and you can never tell they are there. There's a place here in Corpus at the car wash that does a better job than them. I will call my insurance and deny payment to this location so I can get it properly fixed. What a joke! I had a massive rock destroy my windshield on a Friday afternoon at 5 pm. That night, I was able to schedule an appointment for 8 am the next day. By 9 am Saturday morning my windshield was replaced! The guy Juan tells me that it will be an hour and half, which is fine. But come to my surprise.... My car is still in the front parking lot at 9:56am. I mean, REALLY? I've used Safelite 3 times this year through my insurance. The 1st time Matthew came out to repair my windshield, and he made my experience a great one. My 2nd time around I had Lloyd... But the 3rd time I had Matthew again. This technician is really great at what he does. He is very knowledgeable, very personable, and is a hard worker. He goes out of his way after he repairs the glass, and cleans the windows and vacuums the front of the vehicle. He is a great asset to Safelite. Safelite of Corpus Christi installed a new windshield in my Escalade. Because there's a camera in the windshield they said they would need to recalibrate it or my safety features wouldn't work properly. The first time I drove my car after the installation was complete, two alerts came up "Service Driver Assist Program" and "Cruise Control Unavailable." I called the technician and emailed Safelite (this is what their recording instructed me to do for this problem). The technician came back out and tried re-calibrating it again. He told me that this wasn't something he or Satellite could fix, but it happens with almost every Escalade they put a new windshield in and Cadillac would have to reset my ECU (which costs $165). I told him Safelite should have to coordinate that with Cadillac since this is their fault. He told me they wouldn't but said he could call his supervisor. I then asked if I could have his supervisor's number because I knew my husband would want to speak with him and he then stated he didn't have the supervisor's number and told me the supervisor would just tell me the same thing. But he did give me the office phone number. I then called my insurance company. The employee there spoke to the Safelite supervisor and said he was very rude to her and told her I had a problem with my car before they put in the windshield...which is 100% false. Luckily, my insurance company is taking care of the $165 fee to have it recalibrated. I will never use Safelite again and certainly won't recommend them. If they know this is likely going to happen on Escalades, then they should tell the customer that up front or decline to replace windshields in Escalades. read more

I don't normally take the time to do reviews, but have to recognize these guys. I got a rock chip on the causeway this morning in my two month old F150. Not happy! I called Safelite and the lady got everything set including an appointment for 3:00. I really did not want to wait because I thought it would spread. She was not local but suggested I could go by. I did and they immediately got someone to help me. Zero hassles and truck was in for repair in less than five minutes. In just a few minutes it was fixed and ready to go. Delfino made everything go smoothly and quickly and did a fantastic repair. You would have to search to find the spot. And, since I'm insured with Progressive it was free. So a negative situation was completely resolved in less than a half hour. Wow! Thank you! read more
