Took four times to get the right windshield. first two was wrong they broke the third one. and finally got it in. hard to talk to a human on the phone takes several times then you get put on hold and nobody comes back to phone. and after you finally pay and it is done it takes an act of congress to get receipt. that I still haven't gotten.... if it was not a company account i would never recommend or use again.... read more

We are from out of state, my husband drove to the Hagerstoen location last Friday, had the vehicle there, made the appointment for today, dropped the car off last night, just got the call that they ordered the wrong windshield. Now we get to drive 1,100 miles with a broken windshield tomorrow because they were not able to get the right windshield when the car was there for them to look at! The time spent navigating through their automated system, driving there now three times and still not getting a windshield is RIDICULOUS! read more

On a very windy day, the door from a Safelite vehicle slammed into the side of my car. When I reported it to Safelite, they refused to pay for the damages and insisted I did it myself. The red and white paint from the Safelite door is still embedded into my black paint. Stay away from Safelite. If they damage your vehicle, they blame you and refuse to accept their mistakes. I stopped back in part way through the day and they updated me on where I was in the queue and then I got a phone call and text thereafter when they were done. As a repeat customer I was very disappointed. Wish I could give -5. Safelite does not use OEM glass....within 20 days of replacement we started our vehicle turned on the defrost & windshield cracked at the bottom. Spoke with customer service and was set up for a warranty replacement. But when we arrived at shop the female at the Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown md location was apparently having a bad day & basically blamed us & said they would not cover it. I then had another company come out to change it and was told no wonder it was the wrong glass..now within 2 months the new wipers that safelite replaced are bad, broken into pieces in the middle of a rain storm. Please do yourself a favor & avoid safelite, such a scam! read more

I schedule it and another rep calls n says it's not covered and that she has pics of my moulding they claimed was glued down but I have the broken pieces and pics that don't have glue on them. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!! I'm out an additional $200+ because they broke clips n won't repair or replace them!! read more

Aaron, the tech, kept communication for when he was supposed to arrive and he kept to his schedule. On time and worked quickly and efficiently. My only reason for knocking a star, the little sensor behind my rear view mirror didn't get reattached to the new windshield so it's just dangling there. Also, the clips that go in the plastic cover for the windshield wipers didn't get put back in, so now I have to go buy new clips. That's rather annoying. I hate having to go back and fix other things when it wasn't originally the issue being addressed. read more

Awesome service. We went in to have a windshield replaced. After the replacement, we thought it developed a rattle. We took the car back in to have it checked out. They replaced the windshield to start for a second time. When that didn't fix the rattle, they continued to search out the problem under the hood. After several attempts, they found the rattle that had absolutely nothing to do with their service and fixed it. First class service. Highly recommended. read more

Very friendly employees. Prompt and courteous service. Waited just an hr and half for windshield replacement on my GMC 2500. Asked if they had military discount when I went to pay and the manager said Safelite did not but that he could do one within the store. I found that professional and awesome. Service was great and fast. I came in to get a rock Crack fixed. They fixed the Crack, but the deep chip was still very much visible, and I asked will it Crack again because the chip was so deep and I was told no it shouldn't. Well two days later a small Crack appeared in that same spot again and today it is still spreading. Safelight does a really good job, they replaced my daughter's windshield and it looks good, but for mines I think it was a rush job. read more

Had to have my windshield replaced to pass a WV state inspection. My auto insurance connected me with Safelite to have this done. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Customer service by phone and in person with the front desk and technician was excellent. Both people were friendly and professional. Over the phone, I was told the service would take 1-2 hours, but they finished it in under 45 minutes. Also while I was there, a man came in without an appointment and asked if someone could look at his windshield since it seemed to be leaking water into his car, and the front desk and tech helped him without hesitation. read more

I HAD an appt at the Hagerstown location on May 4th. I sat there for 45 min only to be told, the piece under the windshield didn't come with the windshield & they'd order one & call me right back to set up another appt. After 4 wks & not hearing anything, I tried to call their office, only to get a recording with all kinds of options/prompts, but none were to be able to speak to anyone there. Now, I know for a fact, they get phone calls cause the woman at the desk was answering the phone. So, after 4 wks of waiting, I went ahead and hit the prompt to act like I was needing to set up an appt and the man I talked to, told me that the piece under the windshield was ordered the very day I was there, but he had no idea when it would be in. I asked him if the # I had for the Hagerstown location was correct and he confirmed that it was, but he didn't have any idea why I couldn't talk with anyone so I asked him to send them a message, to please contact me from time to time to give me an update. Have I heard anything at all after that phone call, almost 4 wks later? NO! My windshield has a vrack that is in the line of my vision. Initially, it was half way on the driver's side but now its half way on the passengers side. I have an out of town vacation July 4th week & I need this fixed! I booked their service via my auto insurance company's website, and the steps to confirm reservation was simple and easy! I only paid $100 deductible for my windshield replacement. The only negative is that the wiper started making more noise and does not go all the way to left and right of the windshield. Not sure if that's easy to adjust on our own. I may bring my car back there to request an adjustment. read more

The third time they told us to come in anywhere from 1-2, we get there at 1:30 and they told us they didn't have time to fit us into their schedule due to their 2 o'clock appointments. When I first ordered my windshield through the self service website. I called to confirm that the windshield that I will be purchasing had a sound screen. When the gentleman (Seth) install my 1st windshield, there was a scratch on windshield. Gentleman called to let me know that there was a scratch and offered to take $70 off the total amount and losing my warranty. Since I was not at the location where the car is being worked on. I could not make a decision two except or reject his offer. I rejected his offer and he stated his manager would give me a call to schedule a warranty replacement. 2 days has passed and i didn't receive a call from management. Call the office and spoke to Sonia. (Who stated she was the manager but, wasn't) I attempted to explain the situation to her. But she didn't really seem like she cared about my issue and was very rude. She informed me the glue needed to dry a few days and I had to wait. Again in a very rude tone. After she scheduled my windshield replacement. (Through warranty) The gentleman (Seth) install a 2nd windshield. I was under the impression that I receive the same windshield without a scratch. The original windshield that Seth installed, said Acoustic Shield. Which meant it has sound screen built into the windshield. The 2nd windshield that Seth installed did not have the acoustic shield logo. I called again and asked to speak to a manager. Sonya stated that they did not install the wrong windshield. I insisted she order a new windshield with the Acoustic Shield logo on it. She stated the model number of the windshield was correct and trying to verify the numbers that was on the windshield with me. They did not match up. Also my rear view mirror started vibrating after the second install. I'm trying to schedule another appointment with Sonia. She refused to schedule another appointment. After calling the 800 number. I given an appointment for the following Saturday. At this final appointment I explain to the gentleman (Don) what I was experiencing. He was also able to stop my rear view mirror from vibrating. I also asked about being compensated for the frustration and the time that I lost. He stated I needed to manager David. Needless to say I was not compensated I will not be using Safelite again. read more

We are from out of town traveling. We called on Monday to get someone to fix a chipped window in our Motorhome. They couldn't get here until Friday. No specific time. We sat all day waiting for them to show up. They finally called and said they would be here between 2 and 4. At 4:05 he called and said he was on his way. 45 minutes later he arrives. He's been here 10 minutes and hasn't started the repair yet, doing paper work. I feel they do some false advertising. Every commercial says its same day repair. We had to force the Fri appointment to get back on the road. Don't expect fast service from them not happening. So we sit now and it's dinner time but he's going to do what should have been done earlier. If you aren't coming don't tell a customer your going to be there. read more

The gentleman that came out to fill a crack in my windshield was very nice and professional, however, the resin you guys are using is not as good as what has been used before. The resin did fill/seal the small place on the windshield however it dried cloudy and makes the spot noticeable on the windshield. I have used you guys before and you never were able to see where the spot was which I can only assume is due to the fact that the resin was clear and therefore filled the imperfection beautifully. A little disapointed in the product but not with the service tech. He was great! If it's not broken, don't fix it. Stop experimenting with your resin and use the one that dries clear without the cloudy residue. read more

Made a appointment to have window repaired. Tech called would be there at noon. 10 minutes before the appointment said it would be at 2. Didnt show up until 3, per the receipt. Wasted day of waiting. I had to leave and wasnt't around to see the install. BIG MISTAKE. Come home around 5:30 and my vechicle is srcatched around the window and glue left on vechicle. Plastic cowl damaged. Per the receipt eveything was good to go and vacuumed..... NOPE all lies! Called immediately. The local store manager came out after I had to call to make sure someone is going to come look at my vechicle. ( called at 2pm the next day). He agree it was their fault. Had to take it to a paint place. After the paint was fixed the plastic cowl was jerry rigged down by safe lite... Finally after two weeks everything was taken care off. My time will never recouped. If the tech would've been honest and said I damaged your vechicle and we're going to take care of it. I could've understand, but he just tried to hide and pretend nothing happened... read more
