If I could give more than five stars, I would! Absolutely excellent service at the Safelite AutoGlass location in Jacksonville. While traveling from Atlanta to Ormond Beach, a rock chipped my windshield, and this team truly came to the rescue. From the moment I arrived, the gentlemen assisting me were kind, professional, and incredibly thorough in explaining the process. What could have taken 45 minutes or more was completed in about 20 minutes, which was beyond impressive. I only wish I had gotten the names of the two gentlemen who helped me (I was there on Friday, December 19th around 3pm) because they absolutely deserve recognition for their outstanding service. The facility itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with water, coffee, and vending machines available while I waited. Most importantly, I was able to get right back on the road quickly and confidently. This company has absolutely 0 care about the fact this is someone's transportation. Saturday afternoon appointment. I get told they stay until they leave. I message numerous times and never get told when they actually close and arrive 5 minutes after close and they are closed. They NEVER answer the phone. Stay away from these people. Totally undependable I work overnights I get home at 7:00 a.m.Monday I waited until 2:00 is supposed to be here between 8:00 and 1:00 they never showed up I called Safelite and the dispatcher could not get a hold of them or could have not get a hold of anyone in the shop so I wasted 5 hours of sleep! Today I waited again they pull up in front of the house I'm outside watching them and they drive off I call the number that they called me because I'm outside I didn't think to take my phone and he tells me we couldn't get in the gate I said why it's open he said well we don't push our way through the gate I said it is open I watched you guys you didn't even get out of the truck so what are you talking about I was sitting outside watching you!! Tech didn't re install rear view mirror correctly. Tried to argue that I didn't know what I was talking about and it's suppose to hang like that. Dude told me I'm wasting his time, got in his van and drove off. Tried to call location multiple times and they didn't answer, called company and they tried to call shop multiple times and they also didn't answer for them either. A much deserved five stars for this Safelite outpost. I got a big crack in my windshield thanks to the crappy roads in Palatka. I went onto the Geico app and made an appointment for the next day here. When I arrived, I got checked in (not the most comfortable waiting area, but plenty of space and free bottled water, plus a vending machine) and they took my car immediately. After a few minutes, a tech came out and asked me to go back into the shop. He said that the glass the warehouse had sent had some defects on it, from where cleaning solution had gotten permanently baked onto the glass. He offered to install it if I didn't mind the defect, but said he probably wouldn't install it on his own car the way that it was. The alternative was I could bring my car back in two days, and they would have a new windshield brought over. I probably never would have noticed this until after I left the shop with it installed, so I was very grateful that he pointed it out - especially since it probably meant Safelite would have to eat the cost of the bad glass. I scheduled another appointment two days out, came back, and it was done in about an hour. Super impressed with the work quality, efficiency, and above all the honesty. The only downside is the location is kind of out of the way, but it's worth the drive. A+. read more

Satellite came out to fix our car and improperly sealed the window that they replaced. We are now experiencing a water leak, and they are refusing to fix it and are claiming it's not covered under warranty. Turns out this is a common problem with Safelite. We've called multiple times and gone up the chain of command to no avail; the manager said he "has to protect his guys", meaning his technicians come before his customers. We are the stage where they are now ignoring my emails when I send them evidence from the dealership showing the improper repair work Safelite did, and we are considering going through small claims court. read more

So lucky me, twice in a year I came to Safelite for window replacement. First it was the back window which exploded during the hot summer and the second time was a side window that went crunch due to a error by the user. Now each visit was wonderful and replacement of the back window was amazing-the side window was a total flusterclucker. This is now going to be a public service announcement to all Kia owners, or at least 2020 and newer. Safelite replacement windows do not work on newer Kia's and they have to special order the windows directly from Kia. Then if you need any regulator for the window that also has to be special ordered. This was not an insurance covered installation because the side windows for this were not covered, plus I had a broken regulator (the thingy that actually cogs your window up). The store managers were super helpful in getting me on the schedule as I was due for a road trip and I could not road trip 800 miles with crash wrap. I had to drive to Mike Murphy Kia to pick up the special order regulator or wait extra days for install and I was running out of time for the trip. Install went great and I'm sure they are thinking I am a member of the frequent window club at this point. Let's just say, breaking a side window and a replacement regulator ain't cheap, and by ain't cheap I mean the following ouch to the wallet $550 regulator + $480 Kia window as the Safelite ones don't fit. read more

First, if I rated solely on friendliness of the people at this location you would see a 5. BUT... The online system experience was abysmal. Not the location's fault, but part of the overall issue. I went through the screen cycle 8 times before it moved from step 2 to 3. You can't give a 0 and eventually worked so that's a 1. Then when arrived for first scheduled appointment there was a problem with how set up. Had to drive to site to resolve, another "1" but the customer service representative was friendly and helpful. We rescheduled for the next day with a 2.5 hour completion time. Arrived 30 minutes early in case that would have helped. From the appointment (not arrival) time, they burned 2 hours and 7 minutes of the allocated time before windshield install, which means by the time the vehicle went to recalibration tech there was no way they would complete on time. They have now exceeded 65+ minutes past original eta and I'm not seeing any indication we're getting close. No update from service personnel. Because I am on a trip out of town, this has impacted so many people's plans. Not just an inconvenience for me alone. You know that commercial that shows how Safelite saves the day for the customers who were traveling? Um, no. Update: they are having problems with recalibrating and working with manufacturers tech support. Seriously, if they hadn't dawdled with the glass, they'd have had room in the schedule to address the tech. Still no estimate to complete. Still not communicating fully. I know this because I heard employees talking about it. But not to me. May have to downgrade further. read more

Service appointment scheduled for a time of between 8 to 12. No call from Safelite to say that they would be running hours late. I contacted customer service and they advised the technician had other jobs prior which I get. To be over several hours late and not get a courtesy call is unacceptable. My time is just as valuable. I have lived in Florida for ALMOST 3 years now. During my time here I have had to replace the windshield on my BMW 335, Mini Cooper S, and my F150. I've also had to replace a passenger side window and complete back glass on my F150. Every single time I've had these problems I've turned to Safelite to do the work of bringing my vehicles back to stock. They have never let me down. Their prices are straight forward. They do all of the paperwork with your insurance companies as well. Overall I've never had an unpleasant experience with this company across two different states. read more

The woman at the front desk has no business interacting with customers. Incredibly rude with a knack for escalating situations. Accused me of lying just to have an employee from the shop own up to and apologize for the issue (Keep that guy around this place needs his integrity) then storm out of the office to throw a tantrum while Joe the assistant manager cleaned up her mess. All the install staff i interacted with were very friendly and professional. It's a shame the person who you'll deal with the most is such a twatwaffle.
